Review according to recipient of gift shoes! These shoes were purchased as a gift to a dedicated employee that I had been watching walk tired on a pair of shoes that was clearly run down. Due to the odd size of his foot, he was unable to replace them easily, or, with a baby on the way could he afford them. Much to my surprise, they were the exact shoe that he had worn out so they fit to a tee! The very day he got the shoes, he had to walk over 4 miles and told me he never could have done so without his "new shoes"!

Work/walk best shoe ever - This is the second pair of NB 965's I have owned. I am over 60 retired and active. I walk 3-5 miles a day; I work outside, helping my son in a landscape business, clearing wooded landscape, cutting trees and downed wood, yard work. My feet stay dry, comfortable and welal supported. A great shoe for walking dogs, hunting, fishing, and working in the yard. /when they are new I wear them with slacks out in the evening.

The color was not what I thought. I like the shoe overall but I thought it was going to be more...brown. They showed up and were actually tan with brown trim. I love New Balance, find them to be very durable especially in the sole but I wish they made these in brown.

Perfect Sneaker for Big Guys - If you are over 6 feet tall, weigh over 200lbs, have over size 13 and up feet, and have ever suffered from foot, knee, or back pain, I've found your shoe. And it’s waterproof and good looking in an understated way, even in a large sizes. I've been buying various versions of this shoe for 7 years. They are more comfortable than any sneaker I've worn. Trust me and try these. You won't be sorry, especially if you also have wide, flat feet. FYI: for New Balance shoes, buy a size larger than your regular shoe.

Great Fit for Wide Feet - Not a lot of options for 4E widths, but this is a great one.

Iowa caucus wear - The NB MW065 was the perfect outdoor shoe for tramping through the Iowa snow, sleet and slush to participate in the Iowa caucus.

Road tested -- excellent - Daily trail walker finds this shoe better than many other different shoes previously owned. The right weight and comfort -- no sores, no tender spots, and no feet-tiredness after long walks.

Great Winter trail shoe - Got these for my fashion UNconscious husband because I was tired of looking at his white New Balance tennis shoes in the winter. He loves them...commenting he didn't know they made tennis shoes in brown. They get good traction on snow and ice and look so much better for cold weather casual than white sneakers. He wears a wide and they fit with no break in right out of the box.

Perfect - As I have said at the bottom of every order Zappos is 100% perfect. Every single detail is as promised - it is the best mail order experience I have ever had by far. The New Balance 965's are fantastic. Everybody says they look great (even my daughter who is very, very discerning) - they are incredibly comfortable and perfect in every way of what I was looking for. Thanks and best for the holidays.

Good work shoe - Supportive yet comfortable. I ordered these to use for work. I needed something that was more supportive than walking shoes because I am on my feet all day.

Win by a narrow margin - I love New Balance for offering a narrow shoe. These are comfy. I work 12 hour shifts and do a lot of walking. It's nice to be less fatigued by having comfortable shoes.

This shoe grips the ground surface well. It is waterproof. The B width is comfortable for me. I believe it will work.

Nice fitting casual shoe - I'm really glad that I purchased this pair of shoes, good looking, good fit, and good value.

Quality buy - The shoe is what I expected. Comfortable and supportive. I would like extra ankle support and I would buy this product in boot form.

Great waterproof shoes! I ordered these shoes for my husband whose job involves lots of walking and being outside in the rain sometimes. They arrived the next day after I ordered them, and are just perfect. The information provided by Zappos and the detailed pictures were very helpful in making a buying decision. My husband says they're very comfortable and he likes the way they look.

Great walking shoes - Good shoe but order two sizes wider than you normally do. I wear a seven and half, 2E and I had to go to a 4E for a perfect fit. In their court shoes I wear the 2E and it fits great.

Best over all walking shoe - I have used this shoe since 1996 starting with the model 841.I still enjoy this shoe. I think the 844 is an improvement over the past models.

This is the second pair of this style that I've bought. I love the shoe and it fits and feels great.

Interestingly enough, I have shopped around several places which claim to have my size (a man's foot 11 1/2 EEEE). I have been told by retailers they can fit me, only to make the trip and be told they don't have my size in stock but they can "Special Order" the shoe. It appears I can order shoes myself and not have to make the trip and burn the gas. Go figure. Life is good.

Way too tight!!! Beautifully made shoes. I usually wear a size 8E. I read the online reviews and ordered a half size larger and an EE. I was amazed at how small and narrow they were. They felt 1 whole size too small and way too narrow. I couldn't imagine buying a 4E.

Hubby loves them! My husband has almost unfittable feet; however, this shoe seems to be one of the best he has purchased. He wears an A width, which isn't made too much any more, but this B width is doing just fine. He wears them on a daily basis and has had no complaints. A thick pair of socks helps take up the room.

A great shoe with very good arch support. I wear this shoe to work a lot of days.

MW965 - A comfortable all-day light hiking shoe - I am a difficult to fit person with wide feet, due to diabetes and arthritis. I was quite happy with 2 pairs of white New Balance walking shoes (MW926s) I purchased from Zappos, so I decided to try some light hiking shoes. I ordered New Balance MW748s in 11.5 4E, but found them to be too narrow - narrower than the MW926 11.5 4Es I was so happy with. Zappos processed an effortless return, and I simultaneously ordered a pair of New Balance MW965s in the same size. They fit perfectly, are a comfortable weight, and offer good support. I'm looking forward to using them as an all-day shoe on a 16-day trip along the Alaska Highway next May.

Wonderful shoe! My husband has never worn anything but Nike, and white was the only color! He loves his new "New Balance MW965", also the color. He said it was the most comfortable shoe he has ever worn. He is picky about his shoes, but I scored a home run purchasing these shoes for him. Thank you ZAPPO'S!

Happy feet! I work on my feet all day and these shoes stay comfortable! Love them!
