Well, it squeaks. As I walk around, the shoes make little squeaky sounds. That's annoying. If I were just buying this as a walking shoe, it'd be great. I bought it however, hoping that it'd give me support to help me stave off bad plantar fasciitis, and even with an orthotic, this isn't enough support. Crocs work better in this regard, so the price is too high for what I was expecting.

Quality -
Left foot (below right toe) rough threading...leaving red mark on top of foot. Dr.'s office had to put a piece of padded tape so it would not be rough....

Disappointing -
I was surprised and disappointed at this shoe. New Balance is usually a sure bet when it comes to ordering basic walking shoes--for instance, their postal walkers are everything they promise; however, this style was wider than I thought and offered a lot of stiffness that doesn't seem to be softening, even with much mileage. For the money, I was not pleased.

Need more arch support for flat feet...
I bought these because of so many customer comments about their outstanding arch support. Even though they were one of the most expensive, my feet are flat and arthritic so I've always needed additional arch supports which aren't cheap. Unfortunately, even though they felt comfortable when I first put them on and walked around, while walking on the treadmill at the gym, my arches started to burn. I had to replace the insoles with an expensive RXSorbo Graphite insole. However, once I did, my arches no longer burn, even after hours of walking. Overall, I was pleased with the fit and look, but disappointed I had to spend even more money for arch supports.

Made me "knock-kneed"
My first thought when I put these on was that they were so comfortable. The toes are very round and very wide. I thought I was in heaven---until I stood up. These shoes actually caused me to pronate more than I do (turn my feet into the middle) so that I appeared to be knock-kneed! It’s very frustrating! I am returning them as I write this review.

So far so good -
Though it is early to say, these are working out fine. I was very disappointed that the 925 had been discontinued. This shoe is not the same (though someone in a local shoe store insisted that it is, except for some detailing on the front). I had to go down a half size in order for it to fit. I got the grey suede version. I can't imagine who finds this shoe attractive, but I still went with it because it is the most comfortable shoe I can find for my feet (wide in front, narrow in back, high arches and custom orthotics.)

926 -
Fit well, but the soles are extremely slick. I work in a kitchen, but the first time I wore them I almost fell several times because of the slick soles. Be careful with them. Unfortunately, I can not return them now.

I wore countless pairs of New Balance 608s, size 6.5B, for years. They were somewhat wide, but still fit my narrow heels. Then New Balance seemed to make their shoes wider so I had to find a pair of NB 609s, size 7AA for a proper fit. It was later suggested to me that the New Balance SL-2 last would be better for narrow heels, so I ordered the NB WW926, 7AA, from Zappos. Sorry that my heels slip badly in them and they must go back. I’m delighted to have found Zappos, but may have to rethink New Balance.

If I didn't NEED these shoes I wouldn't have bought them.
I didn't get these shoes from Zappos though wish I would have. I paid more from my local sports store. I have a lot of foot problems and these were recommended by my PT. They look 'orthopedic' and not real cool with shorts. But if they will help my feet.......seem to run wide (I wear 10 AA)--wish I would have gotten the 10 AAAA.

Painful to Wear -
Conventional wisdom often suggests that the uglier and clunkier the shoe, the more comfort it provides. Well, in this case that statement is simply not true. I was literally in tears after wearing these shoes for only four hours. I have a large bunion on my left foot which was irritated horribly by these shoes and I have a painful heel spur on my right heel that was not feeling any relief after trying these shoes, despite my doctor promising me that this particular style of New Balance Walking Shoe would bring me relief from my chronic pain. I cannot seem to find a shoe that works for me that I can wear all day long. If NB doesn't work for me, what will? I'm open to any readers of this review who may have some suggestions for me that might work. That said, Zappos is still the best shoe business out there and I have no issues with their service at all. They are the best.

Very disappointing -
I thought these were pretty good the first couple of times I wore them but quickly discovered that they don't provide the stability I need and they are too loose in the heel. I need the width for my bunions but even the double wide pinches a bit with a normal sock so I have to wear thinner ones. Not money well spent and unfortunately I couldn't tell until I'd worn them outside.

Very disappointed -
I've been wearing the 840 line of New Balance walking shoes for years. Since this shoe was the same last, I assumed it would feel similarly. I tried these because an EE width was not available in the 844's in black (By the way, other than in New Balance I wear a D or C width). In comparison, these shoes were clunkier looking and felt more rigid with less padding in the sole. After a couple of hours wearing them in the house, my feet hurt and my back hurt. Not the right shoes for me.

WW926 -
I normally wear WW843. I have purchased 5 pairs of these. I thought I would try WW926. They are not very attractive. Too wide. And not as comfortable as the WW843 shoes. My next pair will be the WW843s.

This NB model promised comfort and stability, but all it gave me was sore and tight muscles. It was a pain to walk in them after 2 weeks. If you have small feet, size 6 and anything below, and have trouble balancing, please stay away from this shoe model.

Very unhappy with both pair of New Balance sneakers I purchased...seams seem to be stitched poorly...have tried with heavy socks really hurt too much to wear...very disappointed.
