great comfort - I have a bone spur on my foot and the doctor suggested this shoe... great comfort improvement from other shoes.

Clunky comfort - I was having trouble getting comfortable shoes to wear - I work in a busy clinic and we have very LONG halls to walk throughout the day. I wore these on a very hectic day and they were very comfortable. They are not pretty to look at but after 30 years in Nursing I don't really care!

WW926 - I looked for these at local sporting goods stores just to try them before buying (from Zappos), but could not find them anywhere. After buying them anyway I was not disappointed. This shoe is lighter than expected with a thick, cushioned sole. A little narrow across the top, but thin socks take care of that. Great for walking on uneven ground. Thanks to Zappos again for great variety and dependability.

Best support for flat feet!!!! I was desperate - I have very flat feet and bad plantar fasciitis in one foot. I jokingly call these my "orthopedic" shoes. They aren't too "cool" looking, but when you're in pain that's low on the list. My foot doc recommended these and they are saving my feet! My pain is getting better after two weeks and I can still keep working 12 hr shifts. I rated a little off for comfort because for some reason the tongue of the shoe kind of dug in at first. I do wear orthotics fine in this shoe. Good Luck!

Great Support Shoe - Recently had surgery so this shoe is the only one I found that supports my foot and accommodates my orthotics. Zappos is the best, order one day and have the shoes the next day; excellent service!

Big toes rub - Although the toe is VERY roomy, my big toe rubbed on the side of the shoe making it uncomfortable. With orthotics that problem might be corrected, but I do not wear orthotics....nice design and true to size, a must try for those who want a shoe with a very large toe box.

Good shoes, but odd issues - I put these shoes on and they immediately had a good snug fit. They accommodated my wide box and gave some of the best cushioning and support of any of the 25 pairs of athletic shoes I tried out while shopping around. The problem however was that it felt as though there were a bar going across the bottom of shoes about an inch and a half below the toe box. It wasn't painful, but I could tell it was going to bother in the long term. I was very disappointed since these shoes felt so great on my feet.

Comfortable right out of the box! After trying several brands and styles and spending hundreds of dollars, I think I have finally found THE shoe! There was no "breaking in"(usually it's breaking your feet in!). Comfortable right out of the box, I wore them on a trip to Chicago, through O'Hare Airport, etc. The wide toe box does make them look pretty clunky, but it's just what my toes need. My narrow heel doesn't slip out, and the shoes are deep enough for my orthotics.

Posturepedic user - Since I need to wear posturepedic inserts (arch support) in my shoes this is the shoe that was suggested to me. I would like to see more velcro closures on shoes. The look is important to me, but there is not a large selection.

A bit clunky - These are not very attractive shoes. However, they are solid and I can feel the roll bar support. They are very clunky. However, if you need a solid walking shoe then this is the one for you.

A bit clunky looking - These shoes fit great...plenty of toe space for even a wide foot. I bought the white and they make the foot look enormous. Arch support is OK but not as good as other reviews led me to believe. I will be returning these.

Very comfy - This shoe is very comfortable. With a couple of changes they could be perfect - a little less sole, more of a non-slip bottom. Looks cute with jeans, but kind of clunky. They are slippery when wet. My feet love them!

Feels great but looks clunky - The fit is wonderful. The style is a bit old fashioned and boxy.

Perfect if you stand on your feet all day! I bought these shoes in white because I got a new job standing on my feet for 4-6 hours at a time. I do not have any lower back discomfort, I have a spring in my step, and I am able to walk more quickly because of the great fit. These shoes have been a lifesaver!

Walkabout Alaska - These shoes have a roomy toe box so feet don't feel pinched. I wore them straight out of the box on vacation in Alaska with no problems - even room for thick, warm socks!

Comfort - I have multiple foot problems, secondary to arthritis. Most shoes are designed for heel problems; this is one of the most comfortable and best fitting in a long time.

Goodness shoe! I was looking for a good walking shoe to take some of the stress off my aching knee. This shoe is like walking on springy earth. Highly recommended. The only thing is that it is definitely not for warm weather.

Recommending New Balance - My physical therapist looked at my 3 year old New Balance shoes and asked me if it was time for a new pair. I ordered these because of the arch support. It wasn't as sturdy as I expected but I'm pleased. They look clunky in my 12M size.

NB WW926 - This shoe felt very comfortable right out of the box. However, being a manager in retail the true test was being on my feet for 12 hrs. or more. It took two days for the shoe to break in to where it did not feel uncomfortable in the width area even though they are a double width. Most leather shoes will stretch with time. This surprisingly took less time than I thought. I like them very much and they are great for extended wear. I would recommend them to anyone who would be on their feet for over 10 hrs. a day. As far as style that is not important to me since comfortability is. I am a NB user consistently. This is also the first time I have used your site and must say what a great return policy you have. I am very pleased and satisfied with your company. I will be buying from you again and have already recommended you to many friends.

Don’t buy this shoe for its looks - This shoe has one major drawback and that is the way it looks on the foot. What a clunker of a shoe....it looks exactly like an orthopedic shoe, especially from the side. My kids made fun of them for looking that way. However, having said that, they are a good supportive shoe. If the looks thing doesn't bother you, then this shoe will work for you. It is especially good for people with ankle problems, such as weak ankles because the shoe goes way up on the foot. I don't really have that problem, so I think I can find another style that will look better on my feet and still give me the cushioning and arch support I need.

Comfortable Shoes - I found this to be a little more round in the toe than I expected. Comfort is wonderful. I wore these brand new out of the box on a trip with a lot of walking through airports and sight seeing and they were wonderful. My only complaint is their look which may be due, in part, to the wide width.

Work shoes - I thought the shoes felt comfortable enough, but was disappointed that they were so "bulky" looking. Will work better in the winter months - a little too hot for summer!

Satisfied with shoe - I tried a number of different shoes before finding this one. It is a very stable shoe, with a neutral sole, large toe box. However, there was too much difference between the B width and the D width and a smaller difference between the D width and the E width. I had to try all three. I had to settle for the D width but it is a little too wide.

Hard to fit BUT the New Balance fits the bill!!! I must admit it took me about 20 pairs of athletic try-ons to get a pair to fit me right. I have a wide foot a narrow heel and the joint at the base of my left foot big toe is almost fused together so I need a very flexible shoe. With a bad back and very bad and painful knees I also need a comfy shoe. The NB 926 fits the bill in all the areas I require. Granted they are quite rounded in the front they are quite comfy, give plenty of toe room but not so much that my foot is sloshing around and they don't slide off my heel. I think I'm going to buy them in black as well to have a change off and different color. They are worth the price. The leather is soft but sturdy and there is good walking support. Kudos to Zappos for their great selection and free shipping there and back. I will keep shopping with you from here on in!!!

Saved me! This particular shoe was recommended by my podiatrist after fighting heel spurs. I'm cured! Now my husband has the heel spurs. He's getting a pair. Only reason I didn’t rate a 5* is I wish they would come out with more styles with this technology. LOVE THEM!
