Fit is true to size. Very comfortable. Really happy with the shoe.

Overall the sandals are good. I have had them over a year but only wore them during summers. Sizing was not a issue for me. I never had problems breaking into them. But the only problem is the strap is becoming loose. First I had the bucket in the third hole and the sandal fit perfectly. After wearing them for sometime it the fit was loose, I could feel it while walking, so I shift to the second hole and the fit was good. Now that is loose too. So I adjusted the buckle to the top hole and it fits well but is starting to get loose. I do not know what to do now.

I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews, particularly about the plastic piece between the big toe and second toe, but these sandals ended up being very comfortable. Gave them four stars, because they would be even better if that piece was leather.

Ordered the mocha in a size 36 (I'm a US size 6) and I thought they were a bit small as my toes touched the tip of the footbed on my right foot. So, I adjusted the strap for a tighter fit and I think that solved the problem. A 37 would've been too big. Not going to lie, the footbed is hard and I hope it'll soften in time. The mocha is a great neutral and I think the Gizeh is a fashionable thong.

This is a great sandle, although it's taken some getting used to. They aren't quite as comfortable as my last pair of Birks, but look much better. The plastic thong gave me some MAJOR blisters between my toes the first time I wore them & it's the only reason I wouldn't give them 5 stars. I'd recommend wearing the sandle straps a little tighter than usual so your foot doesn't slide forward & rub much until your skin toughens up. I got 2 pairs, one in stone & one in licorice to replace wearing flip flops this summer because I need more support. Both colors look great. I got the licorice ones in narrow, although my foot is barely narrow because I thought it looked a bit less casual, so I can wear them with dresses & skirts. The regular width ones are more comfortable for me, but have that boxy look that seems more appropriate with shorts or maybe a beach coverup. Overall, this is a great shoe. My feet are thanking me for ditching the flip flops.

These are a cute pair of shoes. It took several weeks of constant wearing to break these in. Initially, my feet would become sore from the well balanced arch support that these shoes provide. Now, they are comfortable. I'm not wild about the lip on the shoe soles that flip up around the toes. I must have long toes, because my toes butt up to the end. I'm hoping the lip will push forward slightly over time.

I absolutely love this shoe: the style, how neutral it is. They are perfect to wear with anything and you get a lot of complements. My only issue is sometimes they hurt my feet. Usually the arch area gets sore while I'm wearing the shoe. Besides the occasional arch pain, I love the shoe and I would definitely recommend it.

Had I read all the reviews before I ordered these shoes, I would not have ordered them. The plastic between the toes makes them uncomfortable to wear. I wish that I had never ordered them. I am leaving for a trip to Italy and had planned to use them for my walking shoes but I do not think that I could walk all day in them. I do not recommend them.

All the ladies in my family have and love these shoes, so I finally bought a pair. I am usually an eight, eight 1/2 which I ordered, but had to exchange for the next size down, seven 1/2. They now fit perfectly. It took me a couple of times wearing them to truly get used to them and love them. Love the Zappos crew! I will always give them the highest ratings! Thanks again!

Zappos surprised me by upgrading my order to next day shipping. Amazing! The sandals might hurt for the first 2 days of wearing them, but then they get extremely comfortable. They\'re the most comfortable pair that I have, and I keep trying to wear them all the time.

I have always heard such good things about Birkenstock sandals so decided to give them a try. I'm sorry to say I could not even keep them on my feet for 5 minutes!! They were so uncomfortable. I have read many of the reviews that say it takes a while to break them in. I've never had to break in a sandal before. It's crazy and I am just not willing to give it time. I won't be buying any more but plan on giving this pair to my daughter who seems to like Birkenstocks.

As far as style these are great! They come in a wide variety however that piece between the toes, hurts so much .

I really wanted to love these. I had been eyeing them for ages and was so excited to finally get them. I found the footbed so comfortable, with great support. The problem is that the part that goes between the big toe and second toe is made of hard plastic, which I really didn't expect. I tried wearing these a few times around my house and at work, but every time I had to take them off after a half hour because the plastic was pushing between my toes and was painful. I'm used to flip flops, but this was just too much for me. I even tried a larger size and it still didn't work. I would have kept these if I thought they would break in, but plastic isn't going to soften up over time. And I couldn't even wear them long enough to break them in anyway. Time to try a different Birkenstock style!

I love the look of these and the footbed is amazing. However, the toe piece is too uncomfortable in just 15 minutes of wearing them. The size was correct though. I usually wear a 7.5 and the 37 fit perfectly. Oh well, I will send them back at get the Mayaris...gotta love Zappos.

Birkenstock has changed the composition of this sandal since the last time I bought it. The upper used to be entirely leather, and now it's a thin leather veneer over a thicker felt. I'm already a little upset that the price of this shoe has nearly doubled since the last time I bought it, but there's no way I'm going to pay this much for this if they can't even make the small upper portion a long-lasting leather.

Definitely don't fit as they use to, and I bought this same style several times.

Unfortunately, these are going back, and I knew as soon as I tried them on. The strap in between the big toe and second toe was super hard and uncomfortable and seemed too narrow for the weight of the shoe. The whole shoe felt like it was going to fly off my foot with every step. This was my first pair of Birkenstocks, and I was expecting so much more for $100. I'll need to try a different style, but this was really disappointing.

These shoes are cute. I really like them, but be prepared to have some major foot blisters and pain if worn for long periods before they have been broken in. I made this mistake as i wore them on a day outing and by evening my feet hurt so bad; i had to go directly to bed upon return.

A few years ago, I bought a pair of these slippers in a size 43. Since then I have been trying to get another pair and they are no longer available. WHY IS THAT???? If I knew that I was not going to be able to find these slippers again, I would have bought more than one pair. THIS IS NOT RIGHT!! PLEASE RESTOCK BIRKENSTOCK SLIPPERS FOR WOMEN IN ALL STYLES IN SIZES LARGER THAN 42.

I really wanted to like these, they look great, soft, great reviews, etc. But when I took a couple of steps, I winced in pain - that arch is way too high and very stiff. They are going back.
