I have purchased Keen Presidio for 10 years--six pair. I loved the old style. The new design of the heel is shallower and does not grip the heel as comfortably.

This is my third pair of the Keen Presidio so I thought I knew what I would be getting. This style still fits like a glove but the quality I've come to love is missing. The insoles are adequate with less arch support than before contributing to added knee pain. The padding on the collar of the heel is smaller and the laces are shorter and cheaper than previously supplied. It looks like the same shoe otherwise but I will now be looking for a new alternative.

I bought these to replace my older Presidios, but returned them because they slipped in the heel (unlike my old ones).

These shoes are beautiful, very well made and seemed comfortable, but the size runs small and narrow. I would like to order half a size bigger. I really am looking forward to use these nice shoes.

I bought these shoes for long days of city walking while on vacation. They helped a lot, my feet and legs get tired easily and these helped me last a bit longer. I have high arches, so I felt they could have had a bit more arch support. My major complaint about them is the squeaking! I squeak on pavement, sand, wood, carpet, everywhere! The left shoe is the loudest offender. The squeaking started after about 25 miles of wear. So annoying, especially when in quiet museum.

They are called "slate black" but they are brown as pictured. Very cute. They are great for shopping around town walking. I got them for long walks on a trip, and I need to use duct tape around my heel if I do long, hilly walking in these or I get a blister right over the Achilles tendon. They are waterproof and comfortable. The laces leave marks underneath once you start tying them and wearing them, but that is fine if you are keeping them. They are not for fat socks; I can only wear very thin ones because I got my true size, which is comfortable.

The shoe is, like most Keen shoes, good for those of us with wide, flat feet. I don't think the sole and mid-sole are as strong or as supportive as my first pair of Keens, the Newport. However, aside from a little blistering at the heel from my first few times wearing them, they are comfortable. And I walked a lot in their first week in my life--all over Berlin, Germany, on vacation. I like the lace-up style. It allows for a customizable fit. One big complaint: the stitching is already coming out along the lace area. I may have to send them back and request a new pair. I wish Keen would be more careful in their manufacturing process.

Felt stiff, but wearable at first. There is no cushioning in the insole, however, so after a few wearings, my heel started to hurt. If I can find an insert that cushions my feet comfortably, I will wear these shoes often. Everything else is great! Especially Zappos' service!

Nice looking shoe with nice big toe box. It doesn't have quite the heel support, but I really like the shoe. I do need to wear a thicker sock with this shoe as it's a little big, but will be great for winter

Great shoe. Very roomy in toe area, and not the cutest shoe I've ever worn, but my aim was comfort. They are super comfortable. But the back did rub against my ankle on the first couple of wears, so I had to wear some moleskin/band aids in the beginning. Sturdy feeling, somewhat slippery on slick surfaces, but for standing and walking around all day, they have been great.

I ordered these shoes after stumbling onto a pair of Keens at a discount shoe store. I, like many people, am now a Keen convert, but I didn’t own a pair of Keen shoes, just sandals. Forget about Zappos, I ordered the shoes on a Wednesday, the box was at my doorstep the next day. I swear they have elves making these things right next door. Amazing service. Complaints about the shoes. 1. Picky, but the laces are ridiculously long. Adults should not wear double knots. I know I could replace them, but they could just size them correctly to the number of eye holes. 2. The color and size choice was really limited at Zappos. I know women’s 8 is the most popular size, but I could not get that size in any interesting colors. OVERALL: You can’t miss with the shoe or service, both are supportive and comfy.

Mostly a good shoe. These are a more streamlined and better looking that Keen Briggs. Like all Keens, they're great for standing on your feet all day, but the heels slip a little, which is annoying for walking around.

This is a very nice shoe. It looks great - casual, but not sloppy. I would say it looks better in person than on line. I seem to always be able to wear 1/2 size smaller in Keen - this is no exception. Very good arch support - I have very high arches & a wide-ish foot. Comfortable, sensible, attractive.

It's almost perfect - I'm a longtime fan of Keen shoes, so I expected these to be comfortable and look great. My only problem with them is that they are much more "constructed" than the last pair of Keen lace-ups I bought (and which I have nearly worn out because I love them so much!). The Presidios are a bit heavier and clunkier -- something it's impossible to know about without actually trying them on (hard to do until they arrive). Once I had them on my feet, while they were not exactly what I had hoped (light, flexible, unlined leather) they are still great shoes and I will enjoy wearing them.

Great shoe. Comfortable, wide toebox. Not truly slip-resistant, however. Bought them for restaurant work and I can’t use them because the soles are slippery. Keen could make a fortune from selling this type of shoe to the restaurant industry. I have had a zillion compliments on the look of the shoe.

Keen Presidio - I would give these shoe 5 stars, but there is always room for improvement! For me, Keen's are a sure fit. Good instep support and roomy toe space. I have the brown ones, and this black is nice because it doesn't look quite so much like a hiking boot. LOVE EM!

Mixed - I love the green color I bought. These are very comfortable when first slipped on, but taking my eight mile walk to downtown every weekend has compacted the padding. Also, the stiffness of leather resulted the shoe to rubbing raw spots on my poor feet, and I've found that I can only wear them with thick socks. I'm hoping they will soften up with use, but mostly I wish I'd returned them.

Keen Presidio - I love this shoe! From the moment I put it on, I knew it was my going to be my favorite winter shoe. I'm on my feet a lot, have back and leg issues, so shoes with good support are very important for me. I can wear them all day, everyday, without leg and back fatigue. The only problem for me was the back of the shoe comes up a bit high on my heel, so there was a little break in time for that, but now they feel great.

Needs Breaking in - First, I found ordering a half-size larger was correct. Felt great for the first day wearing though a little stiff, but they are new. They also took my otc sport shoe orthotic perfectly. On the second day of wearing these on my usual 3 mile walk, the back of one of my ankles was rubbed raw. I've had this happen with Keen sneakers (I've read someone else had this problem). Having found these so comfortable on day one and greatly needing a pair of walking shoes, I decided to give these shoes a break-in period. I've worn them in short spurts gradually building up wearing time which has made a difference. I've also found that once the leather around the back of the ankle warmed from body heat, the leather begins to loosen up. I've treated mine with mink oil and continued a gradual breaking in and I think these will be fine now. Bottom line: they weren't great straight out of the box, but they are gradually becoming great shoes.

This shoe is comfortable but I expected more from when I read the past reviews. It's not the most comfortable shoes I have own but overall they are ok.

Keen Presidio - I've ordered this shoe in 10 1/2 and 11 - and am keeping both sizes. The smaller size seemed smaller than it should be relative to the larger size. But, it will work with a thin sock and the larger size will work with a thicker sock. Both sizes seem a bit wide for a medium width but perhaps it's the nature of the style. The shoe has good arch support but has a more rigid and less cushioned sole than I would like. I like the shoe, just don't love it.

Great Winery working shoe - I work in a winery in Temecula and the floor is epoxy coated and very slippery when wet. These shoes are warm, lightweight, and comfortable and slip proof. My right toe is slightly longer than my left toe, and it rubs a little bit but maybe I should have gotten a larger size? My boss has a pair in men's and loves them too. In fact he was the one to recommend them. The price at Zappos is cheaper than Eddie Bauer catalogue as well and Free shipping!

Loved the look of these shoes. Plenty of toe room. I wore them in the house for a while. Just now wore them on a shopping trip. They are a little stiff, but hopefully they will get more comfortable. I have a bad foot, so it is really hard to find something I can wear. Zappos is great for there service, and I will order again and again.

Took a long time to break in - While they were initially comfortable when I first put them on, within 15 minutes of walking in them, my left heel had a bloody blister with staining on the inside of the shoe. A band-aid resolved the blister, and the shoes felt fine after that. Took awhile to break 'em in!

Great teacher shoes - Good for standing on your feet all day, mucking about on the playground, walking to school. They weren't waterproof during recent monsoon-like rain, but pretty good in ordinary wet weather. Most comfortable with athletic socks, which I like. A little more professional than sneakers. I order a half size up, just like my sneakers.
