Great shoe. Great cushioning. These shoes are an investment. They will surely last a long time. Keen is a well made, fantastic brand.

Great shoe! I got them for winter and put them to the real test after our first snowstorm. I also wore them with wool socks to a very cold football game and my feet stayed quite warm. Comfortable as any other pair of Keens I own.

Just pulled these out for the first time after a snow storm yesterday. Great hiking boots -- sturdy without the weight. Really like the square toe box and the light feel. Highly recommended for an all season boot!

Love them! If I had to keep only one pair of shoes, I would choose my Keens! There is nothing I don't like about them.

Tested of these hikers on my treadmill. That way the shoes stay clean. They will only get better with use. So I kept this pair. Very comfy and warm. Wish the ones on sale were as good.

Most comfortable hiking shoes I've ever had. I have a narrow to normal foot and always thought Keen's were for wide feet but they fit perfect and the extra toe room makes them comfortable all day. I also have the tall Keen rain boots and love them also. They fit true to size on me, I didn't order up as some suggested.

I purchased these boots for light hiking in Colorado. I love them so much that I bought them in two different colors--walnut and concord. The photos of the walnut do not do the shoe justice. The lining is a light lilac color and the brown leather is not as dark as what it appears to be online. These Keens are extremely comfortable and oh so cute on!

These shoes are wonderful. As with all Keens I got a half size larger. My main concerns were comfort and waterproof-ness. My awesome new shoes give me both!!
I have had my feet very wet hiking in the snow and rain and my feet are always dry! Love the mid-height--works well with 'gators.

So comfy. Usually wear a 9 but followed advice and the 9 is great fit! Zappos is my go to site for all foot covering! You make it so easy!

I wore these boots straight out of the box on an 11 mile hike involving wading through streams and knee deep snow (I wore gaiters as well). They were totally comfortable with no hot spots, and kept my feet dry and very warm. Since then I've worn them on several other hikes and love them. My partner is a construction worker and loves them for outdoor work as well as hiking. They are light for a waterproof boot and flexible, with grippy sole - just what we were looking for for Pacific Northwest winters. They took about 10-15 minutes to "break in" (inside) before I could tell the true size - at first they felt short before my foot settled in, but now feel great. I have many pairs of Keen shoes and these definitely run small - I ordered a half size up and they fit well. I also own the low-rise version of these and love both for walking and hiking. Great value given what else is out there - I've tried on many pairs of lightweight waterproof boots and am usually disappointed in fit or performance.

Best hiker ever. I tried a lot before I gave in and paid more for this one. Like the Keen Presidio but more industrial. Super comfy.

I love these shoes! They are comfortable right out to the box, they fit well, and they provide good foot/ankle support. Just order a size larger than usual -- Keens tend to run small.

I looked at these boots in the box when I received them and I thought to myself, these are ugly. I did not even try them on until 2 days later. Oh my gosh, I did not even have them laced up and I felt the comfort, been wearing them ever since. Never had to break them in, they are that comfortable. I walk on concrete all day long and my feet do not hurt. My next pair will be Keen.

I love these shoes. I have bad feet and need lots of support and these sure give me that. They were comfortable right out of the box and I wear them all day. I live in the mountains and walk and climb a lot and these are just what I need.

These boots are great. Even though they are not marked wide they are made for wide feet. I have a very wide foot and have no problem with this boot. They have required no break in period. The second time I wore them was the Half Dome hike in Yosemite and they were great. The only thing thing is I did have some slipping in the ankle which I will remedy with an inset of some sort. Nothing to cause any discomfort though. I also bought the Targhee II low hikers for shorter walks. I did order them the recommended 1/2 larger which was perfect. The low hikers I bought in my regular size, as recommended, and they are fine.

I was looking for three things, arch support, waterproof, and non slip. The best part, no blisters or break in period. First day, 5 miles in moderate terrain and felt great!

You cannot beat these! It has all been said. I just put mine on and I do not want to take them off. Too bad I am not going hiking now! They will be great for walking my dogs all year too. Love Keens! They fit me well.

In brief, I had a mission as a non-hiker to chase after some avid hikers on a recent trip to the mountains. With that, I was searching for a waterproof, lightweight hiking boot with good impact support. And these boots did just that. I made through water streams with ease. Some of these streams were a good 4 inches high (at least) and after a stroll through them, my feet felt cool for a few moments, but never wet. KEEN prides itself for its excellent toe support. This especially helped for the hike down. One is their patented toe guard. This was PERFECT for those unexpected craggly rocks/shards in the pathway; they were perfect shock absorbers. Also, the wider toe width really minimized rubbing/soreness from expanded/inflamed feet. Regarding the size - I tried these on in a store with a liner and wool hiking socks on before buying off of Zappos.com. I did have to purchase a full size up. Just a heads up for those really considering this product. I am really really happy with these boots, and I look forward to our next hike!

Great hiking shoes! I bought them right before a hiking trip where we encountered different terrain types (sandy beach, rocks, earth trails) and my feet did not hurt at all after 3 days of hiking! If I had to gripe about one thing, it would be that this shoe doesn't provide much ankle support... would be even better if a little higher on the ankle. But overall, these are very good shoes for light-to-medium hiking.

These are the absolute most comfortable boots! They fit like a glove and have great support but also are flexible enough to walk without stiffness. Didn't even have to break them in. First hike I did with them was 2 miles. Next one I did was 11 miles (Summerland and Panhandle Gap in Washington) and I didn't get a single blister (no lie!). The laces stayed firm and taut the entire hike. I will definitely stick to Keen! Had to order an 8.5 even though I normally wear an 8.

These boots are absolutely perfect. I\'ve done multiple week backpack trips with these Keens and my feet have thanked me over and over again. It wasn\'t even necessary for me to break them in and I haven\'t gotten a blister once. They are also true to their waterproof claim, as other boots aren\'t too good in this area. Great boots. Keen is an excellent brand.

Given that there are so many fantastic reviews on this shoe already, it might be unnecessary for me to add my two cents. Oh well. I just returned from a 130-mile hike from Albany to Lake Placid, New York, consisting mostly of highway/road trekking, with about 30 miles of trails thrown in. I purchased 10 pair of hiking shoes from Zappos, and this baby won out over others at more than twice the price. I'm glad I went for lightness and agility over the Asolo shoe I was deciding between - which was twice as expensive, twice as heavy, and half as flexible (but had a lot more ankle support). Breaking in really isn't necessary - I wore the shoe a few times around the house before I left, and throughout the whole 8 day hike, I never once had an issue I could attribute to the shoe. Of course, I got blisters - but my 5 didn't compare to my friends' 15-20 each. I never even noticed I had blisters at all until I took my shoes off at the end of the day - the Keens didn't rub at all. The only thing I added to the shoe was an insole for my mile-high arches. The first day of trails, we got stuck in a torrential downpour 1/2 mile into our 2-mile hike to shelter - we booked it, uphill, and I had no slips or losses of traction. My feet stayed absolutely dry until I was forced to walk through 12" water when the trail became a fast-moving stream of rainwater. Even then, the shoes dried out much better than my friends' did overnight. I'd buy this shoe a hundred times over, especially at such a reasonable price. I wear a 8.5 in running shoes, and a 9 fit well with thick hiking socks and liner socks. Thank you Zappos!

These boots are great! I just wore them for several weeks everyday all over wet, muddy, filthy Alaska. My feet were totally dry and supported at all times. The boots were wearable and comfy right out of the box with no break-in time. It's light just like sneakers but function like a great hiking boot/shoe. I highly recommended.

The Keen Targhee II Mid are an excellent shoe. I bought them for work, because I go from inside to outside on various surfaces. They have preform well on all. My feet do not notice the different terrain. Great arch support, and the thick sole absorbs any shock I normally feel on concrete or rock. The waterproofed leather is surprisingly supple on this nice looking shoe. I have several pair of Keens but I will reorder this exact shoe again. Well worth the price.
