Outstanding shoes and I'm glad I purchased these! They take a little time to break-in, but they are snug and a reliable pair of shoes. Keen makes great quality footwear.

True to size, extremely comfy! I can hike for hours in these. This is the replacement of my prior pair that I wore out.

I love these hiking boots. You do have to get them half size larger then your normal size though. There was a slight break in period for me around the ankle area but after just one day of hiking, they were good to go. They are very sturdy and very comfortable, not to mention attractive. I think I'll always buy Keen for hiking.

These are super shoes right out of the box. No break in needed. I am flat footed-they have excellent arch support. All around good 3 season shoe for northeast living. Lightweight and more comfortable than sneakers.

I bought these after I had fallen on the ice they looked very safe for winter. I absolutely love them and they are totally comfortable like tennis shoes. I thought the height of the ankle would be hard, but I am completely happy with this purchase.

Nice boots, I ordered 1/2 bigger than my normal shoe size, which they recommended, it fits very well.

Love these boots. Went into a creek to cross that came about three inches below the top of the boot and stayed dry! They are snug and perfect for a nice day hike. The only thing I will say - I normally wear a 9 and had to order a 10.

One word - Awesome. I'm a biologist in the Everglades, and my boots are very important. These boots were comfortable since Day One. Great arch support, very lightweight, and they look good too. I am a huge, huge fan of Keens in general - I highly recommend these boots.

My wife bough these and she is extremely happy with them. Very light and comfortable. They seem pretty sturdy too, but it is too early to tell for sure.

I live in the mountains and go hiking a lot. These boots are bit warm in the summer, but great otherwise. Terrific ankle support and very comfortable. I have Keen winter boots and socks, so I was excited to find a Keen hiker! I was pleasantly surprised to find a hiking boot that was not bulky and ugly.

I love these boots! This is my second pair, my old ones wore out after 5 years of hard work. These are the only hiking boots I've found that don't need to be broken in. I've never had any blisters with boots and I wear them for weeks straight.

Excellent boot -- true to size, great arch support, warm and waterproof. I have another pair same design but not waterproof and breathes better but I needed a pair that is warmer for a hiking trip planned to the Andes Mountains. I have problems with my feet due to 27 years of service wearing Army boots. Keens have helped me be able to walk long distances again in comfort. I have 5 pairs of Keen shoes now and if I could wear them with a dress I would.

These boots are fantastic! Warm and comfortable. Lightweight yet durable. Love them. They are far more comfortable than any other pair of shoes in my closet!

Love these boots. Feel like they are broken in from day one. Warm and comfortable! No problem keeping traction and super easy to tie! I love that the top laces can't slip back through and stay tight.

These boots are terrific -- warm and waterproof, just what I needed for this winter. They felt great on right out of the box, no break-in required. The sizing is pretty good, too. I ordered the same size I usually wear in athletic shoes.

I had to buy some serious hiking boots for my work as a documentary filmmaker. I travel to a variety of climates, and I wanted something that would serve multiple purposes. I needed something to protect my ankles, keep my feet dry, and be comfortable even after several hours on my feet. These boots went beyond my expectations. They are actually waterproof, unlike many brands that advertise it. I find them to be more comfortable than sneakers, despite offering pretty good ankle support. I've worn them in thick snow and subzero temperatures, and my feet stayed surprisingly warm. I've had to add ice cleats when it get slick from winter storms, but I think I'd be doing that with any boots. They are a little warm for a summer hike, but they are so comfortable I still choose them over any other footwear. I guess they are about as cute as it gets for hiking boots, which is good because I've been wearing them more than I expected.

This is my second pair of these boots, love them! My feet stay warm and dry whether I'm walking on the beach, or backcountry snowshoeing (with gaiters!). They are a little more narrow than I am used to getting with a Keen, but it really doesn't affect how well the boot fits. The tread is a little soft, but for how I use them, it's perfect because it leads to better traction on rocky surface and more impact cushioning on long hikes. I wore the tread off of my first pair, and the new ones are well on their way to a similar fate!

I have had this boot for 3 years and noticed the other day that I wore the soles out to the point that the black outer sole was completely rubbed off in a bunch of spots. So, it was time for a new pair! I ordered the same size I have had, and these boots are slightly longer, but I think that the 1/2 size smaller will jam my toes up to the very end, which I do not want. So I am going to keep these and possibly put a slightly thicker insole in them. These are the best boots I have ever had. I wear them almost all year - fall, spring and all winter for hiking, walking the dogs, and just around town. Very comfortable, very supportive, wide enough for my "Fred Flintstone" feet. Really, they are worth every penny and I will probably be back to get another pair in a lighter color sometime soon. A note on the size: I have 3 other pairs of Keen shoes in a size 8, these boots are a size 8.5. When I took the insoles out of my Keen shoes, they are exactly the same width and length as the insoles from the boots, so the recommendation to buy a 1/2 size bigger seems to hold true.

These boot were incredibly comfortable from the start. They also keep my feet toasty warm and dry. I usually wear a 9 1/2 but the 10 fit perfect. One of the things I REALLY liked about these boots...they do not get wider as the shoe size goes up.

I love these. They fit great and have very good arch support. They also have very good traction and are warm, which is good for Michigan winter/spring. However, I get hot really easily, so I am a little wary of wearing them on hot day hikes, because they are so warm. Regardless, this purchase is definitely worth every penny.

I had to buy hiking boots for a work trip in Yellowstone where I would be exposed to very cold temperatures for extended periods of time and needed good traction. After trying on many boots and reading reviews, I chose the Keen Targhee II Mid. I should preface this by saying I am not a hiker, and these are my first hiking boots. I had read all the horror stories of uncomfortable hiking boots, and was not looking forward to having some of my own. These were perfect right out of the box. There was no need to break them in. I was surprised how comfortable they were. They are extremely durable, watertight, warm, and breathable. They are a little warm for hiking in warmer climates, but i is worth it for the comfort. I find myself wearing these when I am not hiking, and just want something comfortable. I also thought they were a lot less heavy on your feet than the other hiking boots I tried. All around, a great deal and a great boot.

Great light boot. I have gone through many pairs of low Targhee shoes and wanted to try something different. Surprisingly, it is lighter than the regular Targhee, but with the same amount of support and same traction. Love them and wish they made mid Targhee's for kids.

Love these boots! They are super comfy and offer great foot/arch/ankle support. I wore these a few times to break them in but it wasn't needed. I would recommend these boots to anyone!

This boot was ordered in size 11; when I tried it on, my toes were crunched at the end - definitely was too small... oddly, the same size in other Keens is fine. Returning them ASAP.

These boots are great! I decided on the flintstone color after visiting the keen website which shows the actual colors more clearly. These boots are comfy and I would imagine great for a wider arch. I ordered a half size up as suggested which should be perfect with heavier socks.
