I purchased these shoes about six years ago and have worn them for a couple of weeks a year when on vacation. They are comfortable shoes that offer support for hiking and walking on uneven terrain however the seems tend to unstick. This is the second pair of keen shoes I've owned and it tends to happen quiet frequently. Great shoe but expect the seems to come off with some use.

While I agree with the reviews that say these run a bit narrower than your usual Keens (which are perfect for my wide-ish feet), I did not need a half size up. I ended up having to send back the size 9 pair to exchange for my usual 8.5. I wish they were Keen's usually perfect width; these are a bit snug across the bridge but already fitting better with two days of wear. They are great for cold weather - just wore them for 1 1/2 hours of snowshoeing and my feet were toasty when I got home.

Well, these are the classic. I wish the interior was a bit better shaped, but oh well. The hard sole, the lacing allowing you to adjust from toe up, and the sentimentality factor (these look like the first por I bought 20 years ago), okay, I hoped for something a little closer fitting but whatever. I know at the end of the day these will not bruise the bottom of my feet. I’ll be adding insoles for better arch support.

I loved these boots right out of the box, but I put them on and my toes immediately hit the front. They feel a full size smaller than other Keen boots. Sadly, they are going back.

Ordered half size up as recommended by other reviews. They felt too big and no real arch support. very well made. will order something else.

I do love Keen shoes, and these were comfortable enough, but just seemed so bulky. If I were a serious hiker they probably would have been great, but feeling like more bulk than I’m comfortable with. I do have a narrow foot.

I wanted a waterproof shoe to take to the Alaska wilderness, and these looked similar to my favorite hiking sneakers - the Keen Voyager. The footbed felt great, just like my Keen Voyagers. However, I felt uncomfortable with the high top and the shoes generally felt a bit clunky to me, so I am returning these Keen Targhee II Mid and planning to see if the lowtop Targhee will work. I generally wear a size 8 to 8-1/2, B, but for these I ordered a 9 M, and the fit was perfect.

The boots are very well made, but they were a little too clunky for me. I ordered a half size larger and they were still too small. The ankle padding felt stiff, so I'm sure there would be a break in period. I decided not to exchange for a larger size because I thought they would just be too big overall.

I bought a pair of TargheeII lastsummer & loved them. i have very wide feet, this was the first pr of boots/shoes for work & play I had been able to wear in many years. too bad the company can no longer afford to make these boots or any wide boots for woman. The soft toes workboot has a narrow toe box, however the voyageur runs wide & seems to be just like the Targhee II wide. So ladies if your frustrated with Keen for being the wide width boot company who isn't anymore try the voyegeur while they last.

I've been wearing keen Targhee boots for a long time and this was my first time trying on the targhee ii. Previously I wore a 9.5. I bought both the 9 and 9.5. The 9.5 felt too narrow in the front of the foot, I think because the sizing was off. The 9 felt closer to the right size but a hair tight so I returned them both.

This is my second pair of Keen Targhee II's. I love this boot so much I contacted Keen and sent them pictures of my last pair of boots to ensure I purchased exactly the same boot. I have hiked 20 miles with these boots through road and grass surfaces, up and down hills, in all types of weather and have had no issues. I hiked a mountain through a rainforest in the Caribbean, with rugged terrain, water, large boulders to climb over, narrow paths with severe drop offs, and areas requiring steep step ups where your feet needed to balance on small roots and these boots were fantastic. Can't recommend them enough. I did order the 8, and normally wear a 7 1/2 so I would order up a size.

Nice looking boot, but too wide for my foot and not enough arch support (reviews said otherwise, but I don't feel it).

I ordered these because I need a waterproof hiking boot for rainy days. These don't keep my feet dry even on less than a one mile walk in mild rain and no puddles. They do fine when it's not raining and there are shallow puddles, but I need them to do well in the rain. If they don't stay dry in a short time in mild rain, then they are useless for anything in a regular steady rain. Wish I could return them but I've worn them.

They say these shoes run a little small. My wife ordered a half size bigger and the shoes fit her perfectly. They performed well and have excellent support. The shoes felt and look good and did not need a break in period.

I bought these for my first trip to the Catskills for a late fall hike. I didn't wear them in before taking them out on the rocky path and they feel just fine. They were very comfortable and kept me dry for the few streams I had to walk through. The arch support was great as well as the high ankle. I'm very prone to rolling my ankle is no matter what I do and these kept me sprain free! My feet were tired by the end of the two hour hike but I'm sure it's because these are very new shoes and have yet to be warn in. A lot of people say that these are not waterproof which makes sense because they have to be breathable also. Don't hike them through a river or deep snow because your feet will get wet and cold. They are best suited for small streams and moderate rain.

Great boot, fits well and is waterproof and comfortable. Excellent for any walking adventure or duty lightweight and durable, besides the blue and tan blend with anything.

Still looking for a boot for my upcoming hiking trip. Sadly this one (#3) isn't it either. Thank you Zappos for making my search easier with your very generous return policy. Because I value reviews as I make a decision about what to buy, I will say that generally I love and trust Keen's. This one is a beautiful, but subtle color combo (soft green), but the ankle cuff doesn't hit me in the right spot and is a little stiffer than I'd like. It has a generous toe box in a size 8.5 (street shoe 7.5M). I ordered another style in an 8 but it was too small for socks. I have a bunion, and I felt this shoe would accommodate it.

Although these boots don't look as elegant as some, they are top for comfort, with a nice roomy toe box. They also have a clever lacing system on the secong top eyelet, which allows the boot to be tightened around the ankle and not slip forward on a downward slope. Very nice and functional boot.

Wore these for the first time on a rainy day in the mud. The boots got wet but my feet stayed dry! The hooks at the top of the boot "lock" the laces in place - I consider this a bug rather than a feature, as it becomes difficult to adjust the snugness around the ankle. I had to spend some time fooling with the laces to get the boots to fit properly (high instep, narrow heel). Now that I have them the way I like them, the boots are comfortable and feel sturdy.

The reviews I read about this boot said they were comfortable immediately. Not true. I developed soreness around my ankles and the front of my lower shin. After wearing them for about 4-5 days they finally were more comfortable. I don't wear this style boot very often. If you purchase them, wear them in your home for a while before deciding to keep them. Don't know if I can wear them again without discomfort.

I love these boots for everything except snow and ice. I find them to be extremely slippery on slushy or snowy sidewalks. They are definitely waterproof and they're great in the mud or puddles. That said, if you're hiking through tall, dewy grass, don't blame the boots if your socks wick water from your wet pants. I learned that the hard way. I've worn the same pair for over a year and they are just as comfortable and functional as when I purchased them. The only thing that hasn't lasted are the laces. I need to order a new pair from the Keen site.

I needed a shoe to walk my dog each day on icy sidewalks. Super comfortable and warm in single digit weather! No sliding around. Usually a 9.5. The 10 is perfect.

THEY ARE WATERPROOF! Put them to the test in four feet of snow and in microspikes for about 8 hrs. They won! My feet were dry and comfy! My hiking mates were not! He had on "other" waterproof boots that failed terribly! These were great! I love the colour and though the toe is goofy looking and makes your foot look wide, I didn't care. I needed comfort for toes that ALWAYS give me a hard time after years of bone surgery. They passed the test! One strange thing though. Three lace straps on the left boot are not reflective...? Weird. I have contacted Keen to see that they check their QA program because somewhere along the assembly line something has been missed. I hike at night or early morning so that is how I noticed otherwise you would never notice something like that. But I'm happy with the boots themselves. I've been a Merrill wearer for years and now my winter hikers are definately KEEN! They are true to size but the toe bed is wider. Which is what I needed. Even though I have a narrow foot. My toes need room. The arch support was FABULOUS! I have super high arches and these are very supportive!

I purchased these to replace another pair I've had and loved for years. One strange thing one the new pair is that the tongue seems too short. Other than that, they're great.
