I'll never buy another brand again! After months of searching for good hiking boot, I've found it! Love them! I went on a 13 mile hike the day after I got them; my feet never felt so good! My custom orthotics fit inside perfectly so that was an added bonus. One of the best features to me is the top hooks that 'lock' your laces in place so they don't loosen again while you are making your bow knot. Keens are for me! I find myself wearing them everywhere! Also love the non-marking sole -- sweet! And of course, Zappos has the best customer service around. Merry Xmas to me!

I love the Keen Targhee II Mid. It's light, breathable and waterproof. It has wonderful support, is wider than most boots, has great traction (I jog with my horse in mine). Not to be confused with the low top, they run larger (this boot runs a little small, as much as a full size). I'm on my second pair and still love them. I wear mine every day. I live on a mountain in Hawaii so the breathability and waterproof are unbeatable. Enjoy!

I ordered my Keen Targhee II Mid hiking boots based on reviews I read. It was my first time to order from Zappos and I was delighted! The fit is perfect. These are so comfortable, I could wear them all day long! Shipping was very fast and I received my package a few days early. I love Zappos and will continue to shop as I love shoes! Thanks for the great customer service!

This is a comfortable, waterproof hiking boot. I only have one complaint based on the comfort. There is a spot around the inside which hugs the ankle and it is a tad irritating. Wearing thick knee high socks help this problem. This boot has some style to it too; a rugged, outdoorsy style.

LOVE THESE BOOTS! LOVE THESE BOOTS! LOVE THE ZAPPOS CONSULTANTS THAT HELPED ME FIND THEM! I had ordered two other pair to try (a Merrell and a Solomon) and neither fit right. I called the Outdoor Consultants at Zappos and explained where I was going (northern Minnesota, Boundary Waters Area) and how the other boots had fit. He suggested these instead. I ordered two different sizes and found the best fit was a full size up from my normal shoe size. Oh, and did I mention this all happened on a Wednesday and I was leaving on Friday! Love the fast shipping! So I hiked in these with no breaking in period, and they were FANTASTIC! So comfortable and supportive! Hilly trails, loose rocks, some water, etc. didn't matter: these boots were great. Basically, I didn't think about my feet at all because they felt so good. Can't recommend them enough. You might need to order a size larger than normal, though. LOVE THESE BOOTS!

Like other reviewers, I needed a larger size in this boot than my normal shoe size. My feet are wide at the toes and narrow at the heel, and rather low volume (alright, I've got duck feet!). I usually take a 9 1/2 or 10, and an 11 fit real well with good padded hiking socks. They felt great out of the box and walking around my flat town. I'll let you know how they do next month in the Georgia mountains.

Love my Keen boots, no breaking time needed. First hike was five miles. Best feeling boots I have had. Did need to order size larger.

Keen shoes are the BEST if you're doing any traveling or outdoorsy stuff. I bought a pair of these 2 years ago, and I wore them on our 17 mile Yosemite Half Dome hike. Pretty brutal hike that REQUIRES you to have good shoes. All I can say is at 16.5 miles, thank goodness the only thing that didn't hurt were my feet. Unfortunately, I lost the first pair that I wore on the hike, so I bought these. I can honestly vouch for these shoes b/c the first pair I had that I wore on the hike were kind of snug, and I had no choice to wear them b/c they didn’t have my size anywhere. This new pair I bought a half size bigger. But considering they didn't fit me perfectly the first time, and it survived me through that ordeal...don't see how you can go wrong with these shoes.

This is my second pair of Keen's Targhee II Mid boot. They made the trip to Yosemite's Half Dome nicely. True to size given that I wear heave Smart Wool socks.

Comfortable hiker - This hiking boot is super comfy and is particularly good for wider feet, as most Keens are. I wore this boot out to do errands one day, and then wore them next on a 5 mile hike with decent elevation climbs and was in total comfort. My only small complaint is that the cut-outs on the tongue combined with the thickness of the tongue, don't let you easily, or fully close-off that area of the boot. I think this is also partially because the front of the boot does not come that high up, so it feels like I wish the tongue was higher to the narrow part of my ankle or just pleated instead of the cut-outs.

Old feet aren't what they used to be - It is getting harder and harder to find a shoe that is comfortable and my feet don't wobble in the shoe as I walk. Zappos customer service said I need a shoe that has an ESS shank that provides torsional stability for a secure walk. These shoes provided that. I like others had to buy a half size larger and wear medium thickness socks. These shoes also do not cause my small toes to be pinch and cut off circulation because of the boxed toe. The first order I got my regular size 9 and the left fit but not the right. So returned them and got a nine and half and were perfect. As far as the warmth, have no trouble since it gets 10-25 below zero here 4 to 5 months out of the year. Love the way the shoe strings tie up on top and they stay put.

Excellent - Thank you Zappos!! I agree with all the previous (117!) reviewers about the excellent service of Zappos. It is the best place to buy shoes online. I guess that a lot of costumers were listening to the reviews since when I wanted to change my 8.5 size to 9 there were none in all the colors. However, I kept the 8.5 and it is the most fabulous boot I have had. Keep my feet warm and happy. Keen, as always, is the best.

Comfort perfected! I have become a huge fan of Keen over the last year. I love my Calistoga, Napa, and H2s...They are all so great on my feet! I was moving to the San Juan Mountains in CO, and needed some new hiking boots. These are perfect! So comfortable, almost no break-in time, and have kept me hiking and exploring in comfort. I have found myself wanting to wear them even when not going on a hike. I love these boots! I needed full size larger than all of my other Keens, and Zappos was great with the returns, ensuring a perfect fit. If you will be hiking, on your feet a lot, or walking around town, you will be happy to have these on your feet.

Cordovan Keen Targhee II Mid - Great shoe! My first Keen product but definitely won't be the last! Very comfortable and nice looking boot. Wore them hiking Fort Davis State Park (Texas), Grand Canyon, and Zion this summer. No break-in required. Comfortable from the minute I put them on to the end of the day. Didn't really have the over-sweaty feet issue that some reviewers mentioned. I'm a standard size 8 in shoes; size 8.5 in sneakers. I ordered these in 8.5 and they fit very well. Love them; Love Zappos!

Great hiking boot!! This is a high-quality hiking boot. I've been hiking in these regularly for about 4 months and I am very happy with them. I ordered a 1/2 size up from my regular size, but I'm not wishing that I went even a 1/2 size larger. They hold together very well, and have pretty good traction. I haven't had any blisters, and they broke in pretty quickly.

Love these shoes! I bought these the week before we headed to the Sierra Nevada mountains and they were great! No “breaking in” needed and they were perfect for the steep climbs and rocky trails we were sometimes on. I ordered a 1/2 size bigger, as recommended with Keens, and they fit great. Lightweight and totally comfy. Great shoes!

I really like these...There were a lot of remarks about the size of this boot. I found them to be true to size. If you wear a 9 in the other Keen shoes then you wear a 9 in these. They have good support, are comfortable, and have good grip. Another thing I like about them is the dirt does not cling to them and they don't look as dirty as many of my other hiking boots. I live in the mountains and it is very dry and dusty most of the time here, so shoes don't look clean for very long.

Great hiking boot! I like this boot because of the wide toe box which gives my toes lots of room. It is light yet still offers support for hiking on the rocky terrain here in Colorado. The boot is extremely well made and is comfortable. They run small. I did need to order a full size bigger than what I normally wear. Thank you Zappos for making exchanges so easy! I like the way they look and have gotten lots of positive comments from friends. I would recommend this boot to others who hike.

I love these boots - I was nothing but skeptical when I bought these boots. I thought they would go right back to Zappos. The reason is that I have very wide feet and really thick ankles--I have never found a high top shoe that I liked but I ordered them because my boyfriend swears on ankle support while hiking. I was proved totally wrong! I love everything about these boots and if you experience similar "problems" as me with foot and ankle width, I recommend them to you. Right out of the box they were totally comfortable and I was able to hike around in them (light hiking) all day without hurting or sweaty uncomfortable feet. The construction of the tongue has extra fabric around it so that there is no gap where my ankle shows through like in other boots I have tried. In fact, these go around my ankle perfectly even without that feature. The cut of the ankle height is perfect. It's a bit higher in front but low enough in back that it doesn't "bite" into my ankle the way other boots have. It's just enough to cover and support my ankle. Lastly, these shoes are really light so not a burden on your feet or legs. I will buy these shoes again when I wear these out. They are also really cute!

Great hiking boot! I took these on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru. I have a wider foot, and the generous toe box was perfect for me. I used my own orthotics and they were great; no blisters! Glad I got the waterproof shoes for the rainy days and wet terrain in the jungle. Almost everyone in our group had some Keen shoe or boot for the trip. Love these boots!

Hiking Bliss - I'm a Keens fan and bought these boots for a trip that would include a LOT of hiking. They were perfect! I was happy in them on the very first day, and regretted taking them off at night. Each day, I'd say to my husband (about 100 times), "I love my new hiking boots!" And I do.

Platinum goes green! Simply the best, most comfortable hiking boots I've ever worn. Keen has done it again- with their environmentally conscious approach and emphasis on durability and comfort, they've created the perfect hiking boot. DO buy a half to full size larger than usual, as the sizing is small.

Great comfort - These hiking boots are fantastic for the money. I would advise ordering them a full size larger than you normally would wear. They run quite short. Once you get the right size, they are outstanding comfort.

What a find! Recently I went on a vacation to the Washington Coast. These waterproof boots were perfect for all my beach walks and lighthouse-hunting hikes. Not only are they super cute (I bought the neutral walnut color), but they are also extremely comfortable. Forget your old-school stiff leather hiking boots...these rock! P.S. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 and the 8 was a perfect fit.

Feels like it was custom-made - This shoe is best for someone with a heel a half- or full width narrower than her forefoot (e.g. an A heel on a B forefoot). Like me! It is not a particularly lightweight shoe -- might be a bit heavy for hot summer weather -- but provides excellent support for long hikes or walks. It is well made and a good value.
