This is a nice boot. I walked 6 miles on the Chicago streets right out of the box. We've had the wettest April in a decade and these boots were right in it with no problem. These run small. I had to order one size larger than I normally would for these types of boots. Not too heavy either.

Shoe fits great. I work a landscaping position in all types of weather, and this shoe has proven itself in the wettest April for almost 100 years in western NY. Very comfortable -- no blisters, no nothing. Also, very dry shoe!

I have been wearing Keen shoes and sandals for years. They are comfortable and durable. I do think Keens run short. I wear size 8 in most sandals. I wear 8.5 in Keen shoes and sandals. I ordered a size 9 in these and am pleased with the fit. I will have to see how well they wear and how comfortable they are for extended periods of time.

I wanted to add to my previous review. These boots are in no way cumbersome or winter or even heavy. I live in AZ so summer temps in Sedona can reach 100 degrees and I break out the mesh Merrells. I usually go up 1/2 size in hikers to allow for cushy socks if needed and I did need to.

I wanted to add to my review I wrote previously. These boots are in no way heavy, wintery or cumbersome. I stated that I will probably shelve them till cooler weather but I live in Sedona, AZ. High desert, and temps can reach 100 in the summer so I go for Merrell mesh because of that. These are awesome hikers and they make your feet look small. I go up a 1/2 size for hiking socks if needed and these did.

This is my 1st pair of Keen shoes. I love them. I hike alot and I go thru hikers seasonally. I usualy wear Merrells, but I got these to try and they are great right out of the box, just like Merrells. These are more hardy so as summer draws nearer I will probably go lighter weight but am sure I will break them out for long distances cuz they really work!

Best all around hiking shoe; I've had Merrells, Vasque and Montrail but these are so good I bought a few pair since I hike 800+ miles/year

Very comfortable; the lacing system is the best ever designed. It holds my foot and it does not slip forward -- and I am an 8 1/2 narrow! However, based on prior reviews, I ordered a 9 and it is perfect.

Great boots! I had a pair similar to these for a few years. They were a little small but these felt great from the first time I wore them. I love Keen shoes and boots. Great for my finicky feet.

Love the shoe thus far! I have only worn twice, but no blisters...yay! I ordered 8.5 and 9, and struggled with the decision on which to keep. I ended up keeping the 1/2 size larger pair, and am glad that I did. Love my Keen sandals too!

Outstanding shoes and I'm glad I purchased these! They take a little time to break-in, but they are snug and a reliable pair of shoes. Keen makes great quality footwear.

True to size, extremely comfy! I can hike for hours in these. This is the replacement of my prior pair that I wore out.

I love these hiking boots. You do have to get them half size larger then your normal size though. There was a slight break in period for me around the ankle area but after just one day of hiking, they were good to go. They are very sturdy and very comfortable, not to mention attractive. I think I'll always buy Keen for hiking.

These are super shoes right out of the box. No break in needed. I am flat footed-they have excellent arch support. All around good 3 season shoe for northeast living. Lightweight and more comfortable than sneakers.

I bought these after I had fallen on the ice they looked very safe for winter. I absolutely love them and they are totally comfortable like tennis shoes. I thought the height of the ankle would be hard, but I am completely happy with this purchase.

Love these boots. Went into a creek to cross that came about three inches below the top of the boot and stayed dry! They are snug and perfect for a nice day hike. The only thing I will say - I normally wear a 9 and had to order a 10.

One word - Awesome. I'm a biologist in the Everglades, and my boots are very important. These boots were comfortable since Day One. Great arch support, very lightweight, and they look good too. I am a huge, huge fan of Keens in general - I highly recommend these boots.

My wife bough these and she is extremely happy with them. Very light and comfortable. They seem pretty sturdy too, but it is too early to tell for sure.

I live in the mountains and go hiking a lot. These boots are bit warm in the summer, but great otherwise. Terrific ankle support and very comfortable. I have Keen winter boots and socks, so I was excited to find a Keen hiker! I was pleasantly surprised to find a hiking boot that was not bulky and ugly.

These hiking boots are fantastic. The fit is spot-on with very good support and better than the Merrell's I tried. Keen knows how to make comfortable shoes. I have three other pairs of Keens. I typically wear an 8.5, but the 9s fit perfectly.

I love these boots! This is my second pair, my old ones wore out after 5 years of hard work. These are the only hiking boots I've found that don't need to be broken in. I've never had any blisters with boots and I wear them for weeks straight.

First, I want to thank all previous reviewers who greatly helped me make my first online shoe purchase. Sure beats driving all over and settling for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th choice because that is all that is available in the area. As others suggested, I ordered a size larger (9 to 9.5) and they are a great fit with medium weight socks with plenty of toe room. They look really neat on - high tech without making my feet look humongous. In person, without the photographic lighting and bright computer display, the contrast color and webbing are more muted than in the pictures - a good thing. These shoes are really easy to put on and take off; just loosen the top lace. They do need some soft cushioning around the ankle for a closer fit to prevent rubbing the ankle bone. They have a noticeable new tire scent, but they come in a nice sturdy box you can use to store them so your closet doesn't smell like a garage. Although they are wearable right out of the box, I had a pseudo break-in period of two days wearing them around the house, mainly to try different socks and lacing tensions, and to just look at them before taking them out into the big dirty world. I'm keeping them.

On this hiking boot, I followed the suggestion of ordering a 1/2 size larger. Unheard of. I am glad I did, because they are perfect. On the low cut shoe from the same brand, I ordered my usual size...also perfect. I do like perfect.

Excellent boot -- true to size, great arch support, warm and waterproof. I have another pair same design but not waterproof and breathes better but I needed a pair that is warmer for a hiking trip planned to the Andes Mountains. I have problems with my feet due to 27 years of service wearing Army boots. Keens have helped me be able to walk long distances again in comfort. I have 5 pairs of Keen shoes now and if I could wear them with a dress I would.
I'd also recommend:
None are quite like the Keen.
