Best hiking boot ever! No breaking in required and no blisters after an 10 mile hike. Usually shoes hurt due to my bunions and flat feet issues, but they felt great after the hike! I love love love them! :)

I love these boots! They have great support - I have weak ankles and I appreciated them as we walked over some rough terrain. They are lightweight which is great for comfort and for packing.

I love these hiking boots, I took them with me a few days ago to hiking in upstate NY. I hiked like I have no fear. There was snow, ice on the ground and lots of tree branches, and mud too. My feet stayed dried for entire hike for 2 days. I am very happy and glad that I bought the boots, and I know I will wear them again and again.

I have had these boots for two years now. They are very light and pretty waterproof if you are wandering in tall grass and mud. They are the most comfortable boots that I have and I have narrow feet. The only problem that I have with them is wet rocks. These boots will slide on wet rocks. On the other hand, if you are climbing up a steep mud slope (as I have often done), these boots will grip like no other. I did order half a size larger than normal. Usually I am a 7½ and I ordered an 8. They are still snug but I have never gotten blisters on the multiple hikes that I have done. I have heard Keens are good for wide feet but they are comfortable for us narrow footed humans too.

I bought these boots primarily for hiking in Georgia, but I first wore them on a trip to Minnesota, where it was 35 degrees and there was snow on the ground. My feet stayed warm and dry and did not feel tired at all, even after several hours of standing. The reviewers that suggest buying a half size smaller are probably right. I bought my usual size and they were perfect with thick hiking socks; if you wear thinner socks, they would probably feel loose. I love the color and style, too - they don't make my feet look huge like some boots do.

Because I love my Keen sandals, I thought I'd try the boots. I ordered up one size based on previous reviews. And the foot part is very comfortable. But the ankles rub! I think it's a design flaw. The uppermost plastic hook for the laces appears to be attached to - or molded as one piece - to a flat plastic disc that is sandwiched between the inner and outer leather layers. That makes it stiff and it rubs. If not of that, I would love the boots.

I have the woman's version of this and my husband ordered these. We haven't done any hiking in them yet, but more use them when we're outside and need something more than tennis shoes. They work nicely for snow as well. He's worn them for work and had no problems wearing them all day.

These shoes are the real deal for hiking. My feet did not budge inside the shoe on my hike, which is key to not getting blisters. This shoe is very comfortable, and like another wrote on their review, no breaking in period at all. These are top quality hiking shoes. Also, the material on the bottom of the shoe is slide proof. I felt very comfortable and sturdy hiking up steeper paths with looser gravel. This shoe made me feel like I was not going to slip, and seemed to grip the path very well. You will love this shoe and will not be disappointed. I give this shoe 5 stars.

Just got these boots, should have listened to the reviews. Please order a half size up or try on at a local store for size, then order. Otherwise, great looking boot with tons of support. Cannot wait till replacement pair arrives.

This is my third pair of Keen Targhee II Mids, and the soles of the first two pairs began coming apart after about a year in each case. I wear these boots almost daily, so wearing them out was not unexpected. However, on my latest pair, wear began much sooner. After just five months, the eyelet second from bottom (through which shoe lace is threaded) pulled out of the stitching. I had it repaired, but after another month, the third eyelet from the base also pulled out. This week I will drive 120 miles round trip from my rural residence to have it sewn back in place again. I expected more from Keens, and I will definitely consider another brand of boots in the future.

Wonderfully comfortable and supportive boots! I've walked at least five miles per day in them since they arrived a few weeks ago. Thanks to other reviews, I ordered a half size larger than usual and they fit perfectly, even with woolly winter socks.

These boots look great, and the footbed is extremely comfortable and well-cushioned. Unfortunately, after wearing them around the house for several days I found my ankles were getting sore and red. Will have to return them. Hoping the shoe, with a lower cut will work for me!

Love these boots! I don't wear them for hiking, so please don't consider my review if you will be utilizing them for that purpose. I just wanted a warm boot with traction that I could wear for walking down the street on wet, snowy sidewalks without my feet getting wet. These have great traction, have kept my feet dry, and are quite comfortable. The toe area actually feels a bit big, but since I'm not hiking, I just wear regular thin knee socks. It is snug around the ankles however, and that takes some getting used to. No rubbing/blister issues and did not need to break in. Comfy from day 1.

I used these for 4 days of backpacking in some pretty serious terrain. Crossed several streams and my feet never got wet, so they are definitely waterproof. My only complaint is that the outsides of my ankles hurt from pressure the shoe put on them, but that was on day 3.

You do need to go up 1/2 size. Amazing for hiking and running in snow. Light as sneakers but warm as a hiker! I have been an avid hiker and runner for 20+ years, and Keens will be my go-to brand from now on. I bought them because Columbias can be too bulky.

I just got these boots and went for a 6 mile hike. Inside the metro station I was sliding on the wet floor. The grip was fine on a wet boardwalk, and fine on a little snow on a packed dirt trail. But yes, I'm not keeping them because it's ridiculous if I can't wear them to get to the trail head. Too bad, the fit was excellent with half size up!

Love my Keen II mid. Had Keen hikers before ,but they were not as high. So, I thought I try a mid hiking shoe. I'm glad I did. No complaints! They are great.

I bought these to go on a winter hike and they worked great! I was in and out of the snow, trampled threw streams, and my feet stayed dry! The tread worked for me, and I went on a 7 mile hike the day after I got them - no breaking in required! The only negative - the top lace tends to slip upward which then loosens the boot. I have ankle issues, so I tend to like my boots tight, so I had to constantly re-lace them. Overall, a great pair of hikers!

These seem comfortable and supportive. Where we live, Idaho at 6200' we need boots pretty much seven months a year. I wanted something I could wear that I could use inside and out, not as snow boots, I have Sorels for the snow, but boots that would go across slushy parking lots, etc and still keep feet warm and dry. The color is nice, and the fit seems good. I ordered a half size up which allows for good pair of Smartwool socks. I am still testing them around the house.

Love these boots. I loved my last pair to death so ordered a new pair. Was tempted by the sale on gypsum mid but they are cut higher in the heel which didn't work for me.

I rarely write reviews, but the other reviews were so helpful I decided to submit one. I bought these hiking shoes for hiking in Patagonia a week before leaving. They were amazing and barely needed any break-in time. One day I went on a 20 mile hike and without the boots I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the experience as much. I bought a 1/2 size larger. The toe box area seemed wide at first, but I think this is important for overall comfort even though I have relatively narrow feet. Highly recommend!

I have hiked mountains, canyons, rocky trails, sand hills and more with these boots, and I love them so much I bought a second pair. They're not stout enough for back-packing, but they're great for long day hikes and wet conditions. I replaced the original innersoles for more support, but the fit and lacing system are perfect. They do run small, though. I normally wear a 5 or 5.5, but I had to get a 6.5 to accommodate the mid-weight socks I prefer. I need slightly wide shoes, and these are just right. I had a slight break-in period with my right boot, I soon worked through that.

Love this hiking boot - the blue accents look great with faded jeans. I have a normal width foot with a wide forefoot, and there is plenty of wiggle room for my toes in these boots. Easy to break in - very comfy after a few days. Even the top edge around my ankle was not too stiff. Laces are great - they stayed tied pretty well, and the top hooks have a nice snap that holds them in place, too.

As a diabetic In needed extra ankle and arch support for hiking over mixed terrain. These fit the bill right from the box. Roomy toebox, firm yet flexible support. Excellent winter protection and for the rainy summer season in FL so I use them the whole year. Not a mark on my foot from the first wearing. Glad I got them. Did get a 1/2 size larger and I wear them with boot socks that fit well and wick moisture.

These boots were super cute - but cut my ankles so they had to go back. I bought a pair of the La Sportiva FC Eco 3.2 - and they are wonderful -- much better made. They fit like a glove.
