This is a fantastic shoe for someone like me who needs velco, rather than tie, fastening shoes. The only reason I gave it four stars across the board is because these shoes are really hard and inflexible, and so they are not that comfortable. In the past I've used inserts to help them feel more cushy, and that helps. I would definitely order them again because I love Propet's shoes!

My husband says they are a tad narrow...but overall, okay. Wide shoes are sloppy on him.

First pair I ordered to my regular shoe size (11) were too small. Called for an exchange to get a size larger (12). Customer service was very courteous and helpful. Received my new shoes two days later and love them. I only gave a less than perfect overall rating because sizes run small. Thanks, Zappos for the great shoes.

Very comfortable and well made. Beware, however, that they run about a half a size too big and an extra letter wide.

As comfortable as I have ever had! One of the straps shows signs of wear, but so far not a problem.

Good shoe, good value - This is my 3rd pair of this shoe and they feel great. You can use them as soon as you get them, there is no "break in" period.

Awesome!!! I ordered this shoe for my father who has had knee surgery and a hip replacement. He needed a shoe that was easy to get on and off and one that was comfortable. This shoe fits both. He thanks me all the time for buying these shoes.

Swelling feet - I retain excessive fluid. At times it is very difficult to get my shoes on. The velcro closure and the availability to get size 5E, make them easy to get on and very comfortable to wear.

Propét Life Walker - Taking a while to break in which surprises me, I bought these to replace a pair of very comfortable worn out shoes; sure they will be fine.

Never Ending Tasks - I am a diabetic and this work shoe is great. It is lightweight, with straps, wide and in colors I can use with my uniforms. Only problem I have is the diabetic socks I use eventually will rollup under the front of my foot and cause pain. I need to remove the shoes and straighten out the socks.

Comfort shoe - Propet Walker is comfortable to wear all day when working. I have never worn a shoe with straps before but it didn't take long to become accustomed to the difference. In fact for people with arthritic fingers it is a blessing. I would recommend this shoe to anyone. In fact my husband bought a pair and feels the same way.

Propét review - Was expecting a higher arch support; is similar to New Balance.

Good shoe, good price, good fit - Hi, I was never a fan of Velcro closures on shoes. After trying the Propet's Lifewalker I changed my mind. The Lifewalker Velcro is very comfortable and easy to maintain. I wear orthotics and this shoe accepts orthotics well. I've just purchased my second pair of Lifewalkers and will continue to purchase this shoe.

The overall quality of the shoes is good though I felt shoes are a bit tighter in width than stated.

A Good Shoe - The Life Walker gives good support and is light in weight. The velcro straps give good support.

Propet Life Walker: A Reasonably Fair Deal - This is my second pair of Life Walkers. The first one lasted me about 1 1/2 years, as I walk nearly five miles a night in them, five days a week, for a total of about 1300 miles/year. The shoe is warranted for 1000 miles by the manufacturer, so, given that I walked about 1950 miles in them in the time I used them, I think that I got a fair deal for my money. I also appreciate that there are no laces to bother with, which allows for easy on/off both at home, and when the wayward piece of gravel enters the shoe while walking on the sidewalks of my town. There is one caveat, however. When new, the shoe tends to blister my left foot at the little toe until they break in (usually after 2 walks), so I wear a Dr. Scholl's corn pad at that area until the second walk. Otherwise, they always fit well. In short, by and large, I recommend this shoe.

This is apparently a shoe that was scaled up from a smaller size, not a shoe that was designed for a long foot. I still wear size 15 shoes, but as we get older, our feet grow a bit. When I wear a size 16 New Balance sneaker, I get plenty of room in the toe box. When I put on the Propet, the toe box crammed my smaller toes into a small, angled space, unnecessarily. Poor design for older feet. My big toe was clearly at the end of travel in this size 16 shoe; I could see it popping up. I can't believe that this shoe is sold as a diabetic shoe, at least in a larger size. It is unwearable for me. My favorite New Balance model was discontinued, so I paid $150 on Amazon for a shoe that I know I can wear. I'm kicking myself for not buying more at $75 a year or two ago.

Maybe we chose the wrong shoe, but he could not get his foot into the shoe. Well made. Have to return.

Nice looking shoe but my husband said they are too narrow even though we got the wide. Think a different shoe
