The first pair was 12 wide and too short and too tight. (This 12 is like a half-size smaller than my other 12 shoes). The next step up was 13 and 3x wide, which is too wide. Also rubs on the top of my foot. Not sure I can live with this compromise.

The initial purchase was a size 12 wide. Shoe lenght was undersize compared to all my other shoes, and also way too narrow. Exchanged it for a 13 with 3x width. The length is now good. But this shoes is too wide - a big jump from wide to 3x. There is no intermediate width available. Also, shoe rubs hard on the top front of my foot, which is actually painful.

My husband has neuropathy (causes numbness) due to diabetes and an issue with balance. While the shoe fit and looked okay he felt this rather stiff shoe is not the answer. He is needing something more flexible.

well made shoe but size and width problematic

The toe box is too narrow and the left shoe was pressing hard on my small toe. I sent them back.

Nice shoe. Would normally fit, but too narrow for braces. Zappos is excellent place to buy shoes if you must do on line.

Very comfortable when won with moisture-wicking socks . Additionally, I'm a diabetic and these are $25.00 cheaper than similar type at Healthy Foot Store. High recommend.

This shoe was lost in transit. Your customer service very obligingly credited me toward another pair to replace the lost pair. The replacement pair arrived in good order, and the situation was settled to mutual satisfaction. I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO RETURN THIS ORDER! IT NEVER ARRIVED!

Arch was rough. Two steps in and I knew!!

UMON RECEIPT, THE SHOES SEEMED TOO SMALL AND I THOUGHT IT WAS SIMPLY A MATTER OF BREAKING THEM IN. BUT THEY STILL SEEM TOO SMALL, SO I LOOKED TODAY AND FOUND THAT THEY ARE 10X 2E RATHER THAN THE 10X 3E WHICH I ORDERED. MAY I EXCHANGE FOR THE CORRECT SIZE?

This shoe had nice leather and is pretty good looking. But for me, I needed a good walking shoe and there wasn't much cushion at all with this shoe. It did seem much cheaper made than the price indicates, but that's not the real issue for me.

I was a little disappointed when I received the shoes. I wear a 11 4x and in proper, they don’t come in this size. I called customer service and they assured me that the 3x was the same as 4x in new balance. I compared them to my old shoes and they were definitely more narrow. I tried to get the 5x but you were out of them. I did get an email about 1 or 2 days later that you had gotten them in so I ordered them even though now they were not on sale but $30 more.

Although my husband liked the Propet Life Walker a lot, he had also purchased a Drew Jimmy. In the past he had purchased the New Balance Walker. There was considerable cushioning and arch support in the Drew Jimmy than the Propet or New Balance. My husband is quite heavy and was going to be working at a job on his feet , on concrete and wanted the extra support and cushioning. We would recommend the Propet and New Balance if you are not too heavy and don't work on concrete.

the shoes seem like good quality. the size of the shoe is just fine. the width of the SHOE is also fine. the problem I had was the width of the last/sole. it is not as wide as the shoe. therefore, my foot hangs over the edge and that edge of the last/sole digs in the bottom of my foot. in all fairness, I have this problem with most shoes.

Sad that we had to return them because the width was not wide enough as other 5E width in other brands.

I've had two pair of these shoes previously and they were WONDERFUL. I have a small farm and I'm on my feet all day, inside and outside, and this brand were the first shoes I could wear all day without excruciating pain. However, this most recent pair I got are nothing close. They LOOK the same, but it feels like I'm walking barefoot on concrete. My tired 59-year-old feet just aren't up to it - they feel like I've been hammering them by the early afternoon. Literally, like I've been hitting them with a hammer. I'm more comfortable barefoot. I don't know what changed, but these shoes are vastly inferior to the previous ones. I have some gel insoles in them now, and that makes them tolerable for short periods, but I have to keep taking them off. My feet feel hot in them (are they still leather?) and they throb with pain after only an hour or two. I can't fault Zappo's service, though. You guys are fantastic, and I'll still buy my shoes from you, just maybe not this particular make and model anymore. My search for a comfortable shoe will now resume...

I really liked the way the shoe looked except for the fact that the toe tapers in right where my little toe is. They were comfortable enough to walk in but I returned them since I had doubts I could walk in them for 15-18 miles a day in my job.

I've been buying the same shoe for the last 15 years. I always keep one pair on hand. I have a very wide foot. I get a perfect fit every time except now. I take a 5eee. It's very tight this time. I'm talking about the Propet life walker.

Very comfortable, but... I have arthritis in my feet and need a comfortable shoe that will accept my orthotics. I like them better than the InStrides that I had previously -- they have some good ankle & heel support as opposed to the InStrides which have as much lateral support as a wet paper bag. Only one problem -- I bought these in April and before the end of July, the soles are completely worn out and splitting. I do a fair amount of walking, but I usually get a full year out of a pair of walkers. I am disappointed, but I just ordered another pair because they are the most comfortable things I've ever put on my feet.

Feet felt "squeezed" and overall uncomfortable - certainly not good for diabetic or sensitive feet.

I have purchased this type of diabetic shoe from Zappos before, and I have been highly satisfied. Unfortunately this time, I received shoes on which the straps have apparently been shortened by about two inches. This decrease in the length of the straps now makes it impossible for me to fully secure the straps over the tongues of my shoes. I am not returning the shoes because I doubt if Zappos is able to give me shoes with longer straps. The shoes are very comfortable, but the straps are too short for me to fully secure the shoes on my feet. This review is to let returning customers like me know that the shortened length of the straps on these shoes may cause one to no longer be able to fully secure the shoe to your foot.

A podiatrist's sizing of 7W (men) says this should fit, but it is not even close in width. I have had the same "small sizing" issue with another Propet shoe (not Zappo) before. I don't understand the sizing issue unless it relates to patient's unusually high arch, but otherwise, it appears to be a good shoe in construction and style.

It would be nice if all the widths were the same from manufacturers
