I have been Propet shoes for years. The fit of the shoes is not the shoe company problem. It is mine. I have a very hard time buying shoes that are confortable. Generally after a few days, they get feeling better.

I bought 3 pairs; black, white and athletic white. The black pair was tight on the toes. Not enough to return but enough to notice. Stripes were too long on white and black. Athletic was best fit and stripes sized right. But I love the soles and foot comfort when walking.

I bought these in black and white for my 84 yr old father. He was surprised how good they felt right away. After wearing he thought they were a little snug but I think they’ll stretch a little in time. His previous ones had one wide Velcro strap instead of 2. Maybe he’s stretching the lower one too snug. He’s very happy with them.

We ordered a size 4E but they are still uncomfortable fur my Dad because they narrow at the toe.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance 4 E has a wider toe.

The shoes are comfortable and the 5E width is sufficiently wide for my feet. The insoles are thin and have little arch support but, this was remedied by a pair from my foot doc.

Ok shoe. Not quite as wide as I would have thought, but all told, a good deal.

I love Propet shoes, they work very well with my orthotics. But this style fits differently from my prior pair -- I bought the same size, but these were too narrow. Live and learn!

Seemed slightly wider then I expected. Had to return, but otherwise a well-constructed easy-on-off shoe.

I usually go with a 4E width because that's usually all I can find. I ordered these 5E widths thinking that they would be plenty wide. However, they were narrower than a pair of "wide" shoes that I bought at the local K Mart. Love the shoes otherwise. I'm thinking of buying a pair of Hush Puppies, but the greatest width shown is 3E and I'm a little bit afraid of finding the same problem. Love Zappos though, and will continue to shop there.

Have worn strapped Life Walkers for 10+ years, however, have a major problem with the hook and loop velcro closures. Strongly suggest you reverse the placement of the closure material. Put the loop material where the hook is now located and the hook where the loop is. In current locations the pant hem frays when the hem rubs against the hook. It takes only a few cycles of ware to start the fraying process!!!

Seemed like a great shoe, although it was about a half size too long and the velcro tabs stuck out and that appeared a bit unattractive in a shoe.

Narrower in the toe box than my everyday Nike Air Monarchs and I'd like more arch support. Not bad enough to send them back though. All in all seems to be a good shoe.

These shoes are okay for the price - the fit was good and they seem to be well made. BUT - I am used to wearing Brooks Addiction Walker and these Propet shoes simply do not have the same amount of cushioning. They are much less comfortable and I would not buy them again. The Brooks shoes are more expensive so I guess you get what you pay for.

Overall I like them they are comfortable. They are narrow for a "wide" shoe. I had to use my fist to stretch out of the left one some at the toes. (I had been in an accident 3 months ago injuring my left foot pretty badly. My PT guy suggest these shoes as a way to get me moving more easily.) However, they were pretty narrow for wide shoes. Once I had the left stretched out properly, they made walking around a lot more comfortable than my regular work shoes. Not perfect, but pretty good.

Ordered this shoe in black and white for my uncle. He's been wearing this exact shoe for 5 years and thought it was time to replace them. First pair also came from Zappos. Shipping was quicker than I expected. You'll have to ask my uncle about the shoes, but if the first pair lasted that long, and he wanted 2 pair just like them, something must be right. He's very arthritic and the straps are wonderful.

After buying 6 pair of "diabetic shoes" for an aunt in a nursing home to try on, these were the only ones she would wear. Her legs are swollen like tree trunks. With the velcro strap, its possible to close them.

I ordered these shoes for my husband and was very disappointed when he found them to be too small. All shoes he owns, both dress and work shoes are size 71/2 D and fit fine. We even tried different socks hoping for an acceptable fit. It didn't make a difference. I am asking Zappos to take this pair of Prophets back.

This was my first purchase from Zappos. The shoes arrived as promised in good condition. It is very difficult to get 5E. My only complaint is that the sole of my feet felt hard without an insert. An insert from Walmart solved that problem.

Well made shoe. But size listing is a bit confusion. It is listed as XX (5e). I was unsure of what the XX meant, but thought I understood the 5e. The shoe is more like a 2E, not even a 3e, and quite a bit off for a 4e. I got fooled, and am uneducated about their labeling system.

I got these for my Dad. They work good for swollen feet, pretty easy to get on and off. However, the straps are stiff at first and if you take them all the way out, they are hard to get back in the slots. So, if you have arthritic hands these could be tough to handle at first until they get broken in.

The shoe seems well made and the fit is true and comfortable. I like that they are all leather on top. Also the Velcro straps have a lot of room for adjustment unlike the NB I bought and had to return. Time will tell on durability. The only negative is the quality of the inserts. They are cheaply made being very thin and hard for a diabetic walking shoe. I replaced them after 3 days with better inserts.
