If you like old school and understated these are the shoes. This is probably my 8th pair that I have bought through Zappos.

This is a very nice shoe, felt a bit large and kind of stiff. Still trying to break in after a month.

Great insole for canvas shoes, better than Chuck Taylors. Watch out for very slick bottoms - I sanded them down because I was falling all over the place. I don't play tennis, but they're great summer shoes.

This shoe really surprised me...I knew I liked the style, but I had no idea how comfortable and supportive they would feel on my feet. I have high arches, and I can actually feel the arch support. They have a lot of cushion in the heel, which is nice. I'm also blown away that they arrived less than 48 hours after placing my order - with no shipping upgrade.

I only wear these Rod Laver's. I have them in Blue, Green, and Orange. They are the best! The shoes came fast. I love Zappos!

This review has nothing to do with Zappos. My Zappos experience is fine. I purchased two pairs of Adidas. Both are very uncomfortable. I will never purchase Adidas again. One pair rubs the left side of the left foot because of poor construction. The other pair has a lump by the arch of the left foot due to poor construction.

Not much to complain about with this shoe. There's no arch support and traction is next to nothing. Unless you plan to do a lot of moon walking or all the sidewalks in your town are like a tennis court, be careful with your balance. The material used for the majority of the upper gets dirty easily, but is also easy to wash. Of course, you shouldn't buy a white shoe if you can't deal with it. Fits like a majority of Adidas shoes I've owned if that helps you with sizing. But seriously, if you're going to buy this shoe, you're doing it for style, which it is has plenty of.

This is my third pair of this shoe. Not normally a white shoe buyer, they stay decent looking for a long time. They are super comfortable and a good go-to shoe.

These shoes are so comfortable. I'm on my 5th pair! They're durable and with the mesh top, they breath and keep my feet cool. I'll be buying more and recommend them without a doubt!

This was my first order with Zappos and it was a perfect success! Just what you'd want in online ordering and being able to order something knowing there'd be free return shipping if it didn't work out. But it did and the shoes were great and I know I'll be ordering more with Zappos soon!

Great shoe, I bought it because hackey sack recommended the shoe. Feels great! And who does not like a white shoe?

Love the look and feel of this shoe. Very comfortable for every day wear. I did find the shoe, in my case, ran a half size smaller than what I usually wear. I wear an 11 and had to return it for an 11 1\/2 which fit perfectly and Zappos was very easy to make exchange happen.\r\n

This is the ultimate tennis shoe. It is lightweight, simple, practical and durable. The design has withstood the test of time. Stan Smith and Rod Laver are two of the first people to have shoes named after them. Well before Michael Jordan and Clowns these two guys were stepping onto the court and making history. If you keep the factory lacing you can slide your foot right in comfortably without ever having to untie the shoe. They'll feel just right. The breathable nylon mesh means they're very light on the foot, flexible and washable. Little known fact: these are the ultimate shoes for kicking a footbag (hack sack, for the uninitiated). The flat toebox and simple sides are great for stalls. These are actually sold on footbag sites and there are tutorials for how to modify them to increase the toebox size and do alternate lacings. They're a cult icon for footbaggers. You may also remember Jason Schwartzman rocking a pair of these in Rushmore. Green ones with green laces I think. What else can I say about this shoe? It's perfect in every way. I have probably a dozen pairs in different states of disrepair. I have the all-whites, which are not made anymore, I have the true-blues, which are also not made, and I just got the new orange ones. I keep a fresh pair in a box in the closet just in case they ever stop making these. I just wish they would keep coming out with new colorways. Buy this shoe. You're going to love it and be surprised by the amount of compliments you get from random strangers (who often mistake them for Stan Smiths). Warning: these are not for wide feet. Warning: these have no arch support. Warning: these get dirty easily so you may want to buy multiple pairs so you always look fresh. Warning: highly addictive. Warning: dead sexy.
I'd also recommend:
only ever buy adidas.

Great shoe. Beautiful. Breaths. But this does run a little tight in the width if you have a wide foot, and it runs about a half size small. I bought the same shoe in orange because I like it so much.

Loving these things more than I did twenty years ago. Pretty comfortable and super stylish. Also sparks some 'back in the day' conversations every time I wear them out.

I wanted a pair of these so desperately when I was younger about 2 years ago. My private school buddies had them and I did not, so when I saw them here I purchased. There are very sporty but I made the mistake of wearing them during a 3 mile march. They certainly are not meant for exercise and don't hold a candle to MBT's or New Balance. For being cute and short jaunts they will do.

Classic, stylish, and always in Fashion and this is a classic in every sense of the word. There is a reason the design has stayed the same forever--it is perfect. I have wide feet and have trouble with the narrower classic sneakers, but as a sneaker head I can say these fit my E width well and are true to size. If you are considering these, just buy them--you won't regret the purchase and they go with everything in the warm months. I wore them recently with a light colored suit and no socks to a casual yet classy summer party with great results and many compliments.

I have an older pair of the Lavers that are very comfortable but this new pair falls short on quality. They are also running a half size small so I will be returning these.

Great shoes, stay cool in the summer, great for bike riding. Tons of compliments. I always order shoes by the European size, find it more accurate, and always order one size up for Adidas.

These are old school at their finest. They go with anything, and look really great with a polo shirt and jeans.

Okay, I used to wear these as a kid not buy choice mind you but because my mother made me. So seeing them on this site made me a little nostalgic so I took a closer look and thought how clean and modern they looked, still very current fashion wise. So I thought about it for about one more second and ordered them! Turns out it was a great purchase. I love the fit I love the look and people ask me all the time where I got them, I tell them Zappos but really I don't want anyone else to have them but I do it.

I ordered these for my son. He said he wanted them for tennis, but I think he wanted them for footbagging. He normally wears a 10. We looked at the size chart on the website and it seemed that he needed a 10.5. They were huge so we tried a 9.5 and they fit. In my experience, these run a bit longer for the size, but not any wider. My son does not have a wide foot. He loves them, though there was definitely a break-in period needed. These older style sneakers do not have the padding that newer sneakers do these days. He had to wear them for short periods in the beginning, gradually lengthening the time over several days. He needed to get used to the arch and his pinky toes rubbed just a little bit. Now that he has broken them in, he loves them.

Awesome company to deal with! I\\\'ve always loved the understated style of these shoes but just never bought a pair. Couldn\\\'t see myself wearing these shoes to walk around in all day. I have high arches and they definitely don\\\'t offer much support.
