Great shoes, originally ordered size 11 - they were a bit large - Zappos sent me 10-1/2's while I was sending back the 11's. 10-1/2's fit perfect. Great shoes and great service.

Sadly, these are not the same Rod Laver shoes from even a few years ago. I am not especially hard on my shoes, so my last pair lasted 9 years of casual wear. Yes, they were pretty ratty when I gave them up, but they were still very comfortable to wear. This new pair is constructed differently. The sole is now a hard rubber, much like you would expect on old-school basketball shoes. Older Rod Lavers had a moderately spongy sole material that gave a mild bounce to your step. These new shoes are just hard and have no cushion at all. If you lover Rod Laver shoes in the past, you might be disappointed with these.

I am normally a 7.5 or 8. Depending on the shoe. I ordered the 8, and sent them back for the 7.5
Love this shoe for running errands, and taking my son to and from activities. It's lightweight and stylish.
I have worn these shoes since I was in junior high. Timeless classic.

I love the look of these old school kicks! Can't wait to wear them with rolled up boyfriend jeans and sporty dresses! I'm a size 8 in women's shoes and I was unsure which size to purchase. I purchased a men's 7 and 6.5. The 6.5 fit perfectly! As always, Zappos is the best. Ordered them yesterday afternoon and had them by 10am this morning!

Different shoe than expected. Adidas has redone this style and it is much heavier than expected. Definitely a disappoint, not the "original." Also had a stain on it.

I just bought these shoes from Zappos. I didn't realize Adidas still made them. I owned a pair in 1990 that I wore on a 6-month-trip through Europe and loved them. Comfortable, stylish and easy to clean with the mesh. Fit is true to size and I have a wide foot. It's a Great shoe!

I found men's/women's equivalents to be way off. I wear an 8.5 women's, but the men's 7.5 were a full size too big for me.

I love these tennis shoes. I'm strictly using them as casual wear and they are comfy & look great. None marring sole so I can wear them on my boat too! Mesh material on the uppers allows air circulation, my feet stay nice and cool. I recommend them for casual, not sure I will use them to play tennis in; there are lighter shoes out there. Overall a 5 star for casual wear though.

Simple yet stylish old school tennis shoes. I was looking for a shoe that was good for travel but could be used for an occasional tennis game. These fit the bill. Okay fit and comfort.

Unfortunately, I have to return these, because they run far narrower and longer than my current Adidas sneakers. They were also a little heavier than I expected them to be. However, they look great and would likely be very comfortable. If they came in a wide, I would definitely exchange and keep them.

If you bought your last pair of Rod Lavers prior to early 2014, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the changes. This model has definitely been updated with a rubber formula on the soles that's heavier, more durable, and much less slippery than the last version (which felt and looked cheap compared to the original version before it). The green color is noticeably different too not quite as dark. But the biggest change is the sizing. In my experience, these run about a half size larger now. I've always worn 10.5 in Rod Lavers, Stan Smiths and just about every other Adidas sold in the US. But I was swimming in the 10.5's. So I ordered another 10.5 and a 10 just to be certain, and the 10's fit me much better. Thanks Zappos, for continuing to offer the coolest kicks of all time.

Another great buy and great experience provided by Zappos! I have bought all my shoes from Zappos for at least the last six years. Their return policy is unmatched and their shipping is lightning fast! I have always been 100% satisfied with every product I purchased from Zappos. I was so satisfied with this purchase, I ordered a second pair of shoes less than a week later. If you're looking for a variety of quality products at bargain prices, you've come to the right place. Give Zappos a try and I bet you won't shop anywhere else for your footwear needs.

Took a while to get comfortable and I had to buy additional supportive insole. Fine for tennis now. Heel looks like it may wear through soon.

I read a bunch of negative reviews of this shoe on the Adidas site and was almost scared off from buying them, but was so sick of how unsupportive my Converse All Stars were and just really craved a basic looking sneaker to wear on the weekends while leading my middle aged working Mom lifestyle. Well I am so glad I gave them a try because they are everything I was looking for. Super comfortable, cute enough, and not heavy at all. I am not using them to play tennis, but I walked 4 miles or so in them the other day and they felt great. I love these shoes. If you are looking for a more comfortable alternative to Converse I strongly advise trying these out. Note, I wear a 7.5 or a 7 and got these in a 5.5 mens and they fit great.

Love the shoes. Love the colors. Comfortable for going out, but I wouldn't wear them all day every day. My only disappointment is that the suede on the toes gets very dirty very quickly. These must be worn with extreme care and cleaned regularly. I would have preferred a more easily cleanable material.

Love my new Rod Laver's! Sizes run big...had to return for a 1 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear. Zappos is easier to make returns than any "walk in" store!

I have worn Rod Lavers since the late '90s - they fit my foot perfectly and became my shoe of choice. But I knew that the most recent pair of Lavers I bought in the fall of '14 were different the moment I put them on. The design has changed - they have gotten wider and the arch support has greatly diminished. It blows my mind that Adidas would so drastically alter the design of the shoe without giving any kind of notice or explanation. I even contacted their customer service only to find they had no idea. I would have likely continued buying these shoes for many more years, but now I am off to find a new shoe.

Unfortunately, the changes Adidas has made to this shoe make it very uncomfortable. The sole is now very unyielding and heavy and after a short wear, I feel like I have two paddles tied to my feet.

I normally wear a 6 1/2 women's and so I ordered the suggested 5 1/2 men's and that was a mistake--definitely order 1/2 size smaller than usual. Additionally, from what I hear these are klonkier and heavier than previous issues, which IS disappointing, but unless you plan on playing a sport in these, you should be good. The sneakers look quite cool, of course, so any missteps (pun) in engineering are forgiven by truly iconic styling.

I tried these on and immediately hated them. Way too narrow, and felt like I was standing on a jagged rock. Who would ever wear these?

I really like the retro style and quality construction, with the leather bumper around the edge. This is definitely a firmer shoe than a running shoe. The soft support is in the front of the foot and the arch support is only moderate. Since I have a pronation tendency I had to buy a more supportive insole for maximum comfort. I bought these for tennis and they are fine.

Really nice shoes, they remind me of the old Stan Smith's that I wore years ago. Not as narrow as some Adidas shoes but I still ordered a half size larger and they fit well.

These shoes use quality materials and unparalleled workmanship. The medium width is true for the size 10 men's. The sole is molded and super grippy as a true court sneaker should be The fabric the shoe is made with the blue color is almost iridescent like an Amazonian butterfly. In my case, however, the overall fit was only 85 percent with the heel being either too high or the foot bed not conforming to the shape of the back portion of my foot. Otherwise I would have enjoyed wearing these anytime and would protect them as a treasured favorite.

An oldie but a goodie. Lavers continue to exude great style and once they dirty up a bit, it's even better. Not a lot of bells and whistles; these just look good (although mine will never touch a tennis court).

These are my favorite shoes. They are lightweight, look tight, whether wearing shorts or pants. I usually buy a pair every other year, alternating between colors (they do not carry the grey color anymore), because I wear out the rubber but mostly because these shoes are dirt magnets. I wish they carried the grey color because it hid the dirt pretty well. Obviously, if you want to preserve the pristine white color, do not hike bike skate beach in these shoes. I have had a pair for the last nine years and will continue to wear Rod Laver for awhile.
