The pair I bought were defective. The sole of the shoe split near the ball of the foot after one month of wear. The quality of the Black and White model seems to be not as good as the White and Blue model. Do not buy the Black and White Rod Lavers!

These are good quality casual shoes that are cool in hot weather. So far, I have no complaints.

Great pair of kicks. Not the most comfortable, but good enough. Love the way they look with shorts and pants. Wouldn't actually wear them to play tennis.

Good shoe. The sole rubber is a little hard. Probably not the best for slippery surfaces but makes sense since I think tennis shoes are designed to slide a little. And these are basically tenni shoes. Good, simple, casual sneaker.

Good looking with a solid sole and good support when hustling around. Use these only for tennis and so far they are OK. They are a bit high around the ankle for me, giving a bit of chafing on the bottom of the ankle joint. Also the toe portion is narrower than other Adidas tennis products I've used, so I'm hoping that will break in over the next month or so. They breathe really well which is important to me.

Runs about a half-size small, and is a bit narrow. I returned mine for the next size up and am completely satisfied.

The shoes felt a little narrow at first, but after about a month of breaking into, but after that they feel completely comfortable. It goes without saying that it's very nice design and original. I really like wearing these shoes with some khaki shorts.

At first this shoe was fairly uncomfortable, but as I wore it more, they became "softer". So now I can wear them for 9+ hours and they feel great. Definitely recommend them. Well worth the price.

I like this tennis shoe. It is breaking in nicely. I had some concerns about the stiffness of the arch support on my left foot but after a few weeks of climbing subway stairs I am confident that I did not sacrifice comfort for style. This is a true tennis shoe - it has a stylish suede toe to absorb dew, no doubt. There is nothing frivolous about the elegant shoe design unless you think green soles are frivolous.

We purchased these for our son who goes through shoes very quickly. Not only do they look really sharp, they are comfortable and durable. We will order them again and maybe Dad will pick up a pair as well. As always, Zappos shipping was super fast.

Fantastic looking and feeling shoe. Comfortable from the start with plenty of room. They hold up well to regular wear and tear. Lots of compliments on this pair (grey with red soles).

Just got mine. They are already my favorite shoes, super comfortable, and look awesome. Might be a tad large but I could also have weirdly shaped feet. I would definitely buy these again.

My second pair. Good solid Adidas. I bought these to replace the discontinued Stan Smith black/white version. The mesh makes this one a lot lighter, but the white surround does get marred quickly.

Adidas Rod Lavers are the most comfortable shoes that I own! That's because they are also my favorite shoes. Keep in mind that since Adidas run in European sizes, you might have to move up a size or so. For example: I wear a size 11.5 in converse, but in Adidas, I wear a size 13. Once you find the right fit, they might be the most comfortable sneakers you'll ever own. I also love the material arrangement of breathable mesh, ultra lightweight polyurathane soles and durable suede overlays. Even though they were originally made for tennis, Lavers have become even more functional today as they are also used for the sport of Footbag as well great and stylish casual shoes. But the most significant use that I have found for them believe it or not, is that they are the best dance shoes that I have come across. For me, these shoes have all the perks, timeless classics that can be worn with anything, ultra comfortable, super lightweight and extremely durable that can go hard on the dancefloor without weighing or slowing the groove down. Trust me, I've been styling and getting down in these for years, so please don't let these pass you by!

Great everyday shoe especially after they been broken in. I am very active and use these shoes for work and play. They are very durable and are the best freestyle footbag shoes around (once they have been modified).

My modest review has more to do with my pancake feet than the shoe. I love the look of the shoe; it's exactly what I want it to be. Unfortunately, the shoe runs too narrow for my flat feet. It's narrower than other comparable shoes (Converse All-stars, Nike Pro Sport). I ended up with the Nike Pro Sport canvas shoe. The Nike is fine for my feet but I just love the look of the Laver and wish they made a wide size.

Nicely made sneaker, a plain shoe but it works. The fit real well and a pretty comfortable. The one thing wrong with them is that the laces are entirely to short, I can't even tie a proper set of rabbit ears with them--I can only tie off one ear!(loop)

These are men's shoes and I ordered my size they recommended for women and the fit is great. These are so sharp looking and remind me when I was in school in the 60's & 70's. The only thing I wish is when I checked out the video, I'd have liked to see a girl wearing them as well to get a better visual. These look great with jeans or shorts. Sporty, yet classy.

Fits true to size and looks Great! These Rod Laver Adidas are very comfortable and the soles are very quiet when walking. I really like the retro look!

I've been looking for a casual sneaker with an old school touch, and that's exactly what the Rod Laver's are. I ordered the grey with red trim, and couldn't be happier. They're sharp and comfortable. I also like the fact they come with a grey pair of laces (they come laced up with a red pair). They were a great price, and I usually wear between an 11.5 and 12 depending on the brand. The size 12 fit me great. What I like is the Adidas trademark is part of the fabric and not stitched. Thank you Zappos, Rod Laver and Adidas!

Great shoe, bought them for my 13 year old son. He liked them so much he ordered they gray/red ones also.

Look great, but odd arch support. The insole is flat and squishy, and the arch is just a small, hard, high bump that feels all wrong. The insoles are not removable, so the problem can't be fixed with a better insole, either. Returned!

Good pair of sneakers, wear them with some Jeans a nice pair of shorts. They are comfortable and I like the way they look.
