Not only are these timelessly stylish, but they have awesome heel support and cushion. I usually use heel cups or arch supports in my shoes to suppress recurring foot pain, but I don't need to use anything in these! I'll probably be owning at least a pair of these for the rest of my life, they're that comfortable.

This shoe is very comfortable and breaks in really nicely. It's perfect for footbagging. Best footbagging shoe ever. Good arch support and stylish.

The shoe itself is great. I love it, in theory. I owned the navy ones, and they were great. Then, I purchased the green ones. I received them, and almost immediately the green started streaking onto the white part of the shoe. It was as if they painted the shoes and they never fully dried. I returned them, received another pair, and the same thing happened. I don't get it. From my experience, it is only the green version of this shoe. Take my advice, stay away from green. I love the shoe, so it is really a shame.

Good looking shoes. Considerably tighter than expected. I typically wear 13 or sometimes 14 depending on the brand. I was thrilled to see they had 13.5 which I thought would be perfect. Instead the are really tight/narrow. Soles are thin so don't expect to be too active but I think this is expected for casual/retro sneakers.

Just got mine in yesterday. Wore them for the first time last night. I am a size 7.5 in mens and they fit perfect at that length. The shoes runs a little narrow which I dont really care for, but Im not sending back for that either. The shoe is a little snug right now but Im waiting to see how it breaks in. The arch support is great. Not used to having that in my other shoes so its kinda hard to get use to at first but Im sure in the long run its going to be great for my foot. So over all, I love this shoe other than its pretty narrow. I gen. like wider shoes.

These are great looking shoes, but have a small, hard-feeling arch and are less comfortable than I had hoped. I also wish the insoles were removable.

Probably the coolest looking shoes I've ever owned -- Rod Lavers have always been stylish, but in black they're even more so. The fit is just about right, and they slip on and off much easier than most, thanks to the leather-like material at the heel. My only complaints are with the soles, which are extremely slippery (especially on carpet), and the odd shape of the insole (which has a bump opposite the arch that can be very distracting when you first put the shoes on). Overall, great shoes.

I loved this shoe. I live in NYC. I walk a lot. It didn't survive half of a year. The soles started to tear in the front where I bend my feet so I eventually couldn't wear these anymore. It's a shame because they looked great. I'd buy this shoe again if I had money to burn.

On my fourth pair of these (get a new pair yearly). Love how comfortable and versatile they are. Love the way they wear over time too--the way jeans get character over time.

I had a pair of these way, way back in college that I remember as being very comfortable. I like the new pair but, in terms of comfort, shoes have come a long way since my last pair. They're not uncomfortable per se, but arch is lacking and they offer little lateral support--odd given that they're namesake was a tennis player. I bought them for style and nostalgia and for those things I love them!

Great casual shoe, very comfortable, but I had to buy a full size larger (bought size 14, normally a 13). I have flat feet, and the insole doesn't have too high an arch and is comfortable for a 10-12 hour day.

Good fit, casual walking shoe. No surprises here, though I would purchase an add on insert sole. The one that comes with the shoes is plain jane and doesn't offer much comfort.

Zappos' service was great. However, the product was not. Red and white paint from the sides of the soles rubbed off onto a very expensive Marley floor at a local dance studio. I had to apologize to the studio owners and might be on the hook to pay for damages. The shoe's construction was comfortable. It looks great too. I wish the paint did not rub off.

I owned a pair of these many years ago. Quality and fit were exactly as I remembered. The green rubber soles are a much harder rubber than the earlier model I owned. I would prefer a softer sole; but I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

I am on my feet all day at work and like a cute yet comfortable shoe. I love the style, but found them very uncomfortable. I have worn them approx 5 times and can't seem to break them in. Also, the material of the shoe gathers every speck of dirt. They looked filthy after 1 wear. I would not recommend these shoes. I am a bit of a shoe freak, and I have never felt the need to write a review. These shoes disappointed me enough to write a review.

I've worn 4 pairs of these tennis shoes. I love the retro look. I bought my first pair in the early eighties and thought they had been discontinued. I wear them to work (I'm a recreation supervisor) and also for casual. I think they are sharp looking and very comfortable.

I got this in a smaller size than I normally wear but it fits well. It's a nice looking retro shoe. I will buy another pair when this one wears down.

I love these shoes! I've owned many in the past 15 years. I actually had to order a pair of mens because women's Rod Lavers are not available right now. I wear a 7 women's and ordered a 5.5 in men's and they fit perfect. I will continue to wear these shoes because they are sleek and cute! Call me "old-school."

Great shoes! I felt that sizing was a bit small, but the shoe is very forgiving. Purchased 12 pairs for groomsmen gifts at my wedding. With such a variety of personality and taste, these shoes were still an absolute hit. Great for dancing! Zappos also shipped to me with lightning speed. Efficient, fair prices, and I'll be purchasing all my shoes here in the future if possible.

These rub my pinky toes even through socks. They are terribly uncomfortable, not to mention ugly. The nylon material that they are made out of is just weird.

These sneakers are both classic and cute. I get compliments every time I wear them. The little suede detail is nice. A great little basic white sneaker.

They feel fairly cheap and will take some time to break in, due to their flexible plastic soles. The other downside of the plastic sole is that they have bad traction and slide quite easily. I wouldn't recommend them for actual tennis play unless you want to break an ankle. I would recommend them for moon walking contests. Still, fairly comfortable shoes and they look stylish from afar. Have received a few compliments on them, only a few days after purchasing.
