Disappointing shoes.
I have to spend more on shoes as I can't wear all types. I have very wide feet even after bunion surgery. Even ordering a wide size in these the fit was bad. Loose in the heel while still snug around the toe box. Leather uppers seemed cheap and felt like vinyl. Support was poor.

I like the width of the shoe but the length of the shoe is too long. I am also going to return them because I found other shoes that have better cushioning. I also found other good walking shoes that are a Little bit more stylish.

Was pretty narrow for a Wide (D). Also there was something in the top of the footbed that irritated my big toe. Returned.

Not sure if I got the same shoe that others reviewed! I previously reviewed this in size 8W which was too large all around. Now I am reviewing the 7-1/2 W which I was planning to keep, but after wearing them inside for about an hour, I cannot stand them. I have a bunion and arthritis in one big toe, making it hard to find shoes which are comfortable. These are very stiff, have barely any cushioning in the insole (which is removable), and barely any arch support. I thought they would be okay, but I could hardly wait to take them off and get the return process started. Sadly, my previous NB which were okay, lasted only 2 months before the sole separated from the rest of the shoe. Just not sure what to get now. With Fall & Winter coming on, I count on Merrell shoes and boots.

Purchased in a 7-1/2 and an 8 wide. The 7-1/2 is plenty wide enough for bunions & arthritis; almost too wide (especially the heel). But they seem okay with a walking weight sock, so I will keep the 7-1/2W and return the 8W. They seem a bit stiff, but my previous NB walking shoe was too soft & lasted 2 months. Not too trendy looking but I don't care about that as much as comfort. They are too wide for my orthotic, but I put in a padded liner which helps with a lighter weight sock also. The removable liner doesn't give much in the way of support or arch support.

These are really narrow in the instep but the heel is too wide. I can wear them if I tighten the velcro a lot, but my right foot is achy at the end of the day.

I had ordered this exact shoe, however when it arrived the shoes were solid Black, I had purchased the shoes as a gift, which had to be white, so I am not able to comment on the comfort of the shoes, Zappos was kind enough to offer to replace the Black ones, but we were leaving town so we just bought a gift local, Zappos was nice and did not charge us for the shoes, they told us to donate the shoes or whatever, so gave to the Goodwill.

This shoe was comfortable, but it does not have good arch support. I was expecting a more robust orthotic arch in them. Also they are extremely squeaky and noisy as you walk in them. Squeak, squeak, squeak. I do like the velcro closures but I was disappointed in the arch and the noisiness. I'm not going to keep them.

Although I got an extra-extra wide, these shoes are tight. They're not as comfortable as they look. There will definitely be a breaking in period. There's no arch support whatsoever. The insole that's cushioned needs to be removed in order to put in orthotics, so if you wear them don't expect any cushion from these shoes.

I have always bought New Balance shoes and really liked them but they do not hold up to the things I do in them and I could not justify the cost for the short length of time that they held up. I bought these shoes based on other reviews that said they held up better. I do not know about that part yet, but I have to say that I was disappointed in the fit. Being leather, I hoped they would break in better and they have somewhat but the toe is narrow and the heel is wide and they have to be strapped down as far as they will go to stay on. I need to wear full foot orthotics and need the room if it can be found. Usually it means taking out the sole. Even with the sole out, the toe was tight (of course this makes the heel even roomier) and I ordered half a size bigger than what I usually wear. It is better after wearing them for a month, but it would be nice to have a wider toe yet. They have stretched enough to get the sole back in but the cushion it gave is pretty much gone and the heel spur pain I had before the New Balance shoes is back. I cannot say that I would buy these again even if they do last longer than a few months.

Was disappointed as I love Propet as they usually fit my hard to fit feet. These felt too tight and had to use a shoe horn to get them on. They were uncomfortable so back they go.

These are old lady shoes as everyone in my family has pointed out. I am sure they are awesome for folks who need shoes like these but the tongue rides up high and they are horrible for real walking.

This shoe felt a bit snug in the medium width. It is made well. One can add their own arch support. I needed a Velcro-closing shoe because of hip-replacement surgery. I have returned these shoes because the fit is not good for me and the straps are almost two inches too short. The shoe looks pretty in the picture and pretty when you take it out of the box. But for me, the shoe does not function well on my foot.

Even with my own inserts this shoe is very hard to walk on. This shoe does not come in a small enough size for me so I ordered the smallest size I could (I need 5.5 4E). I ordered a 6 4E because I am desperate to find a pair of shoes that will alleviate some of the pain I feel in my back. With the propel you forward feature I discovered that because the shoe was too big I was fighting against the shoe with every step. Good thing I tried them on around the house as they are going back. I have had great service with Zappos and hope to find a pair of shoes that will work for me with my small wide feet that have high arches.

First, I'm over 50yo with bunions and plantar fasciitis. I was looking for a shoe with lots of padding and wide enough to accommodate the bunions. At first glance the Propet walker is a nice light shoe, but didn't have as much padding in the forefoot as I would have liked. I bought a wide but it still rubbed the bunion. Usually a wide is plenty big to avoid this. I have narrow heels and the shoe kept slipping on my heels. In the end, I chose the Saucony ProGrid Itegrity ST2 because it had more padding and the heel didn't slip. It is also lightweight and flexible.

This is an attractive sturdy shoe, but I had to return it. The top of the tongue dug into the top ball of my ankle. Also it ran bigger than normal so that it was loose in the heel and my foot came out as I walked. If I tightened the straps, it hurt my whole foot. Overall it was too hard and didn't fit my foot. It did have good toe room.

Wish this could have worked out -
Very attractive sport shoe. Really want one with velcro strap. Gorgeous shape. BUT... Shoe is way way too stiff. Runs really narrow (and I tried size 9EE). Probably need 9 EEEE or 9 EEEEE in this shoe. Unbelievably narrow...

I used to wear a shoe by Propet that now, sadly, is discontinued. I was forced to go to the tennis shoe and it was not wide enough.(6 4E) I liked the shoe ,but I found a Drew shoe that now will replace the Propet I once loved.

Top front edge uncomfortable for me -
I recently had back surgery and walking was part of my personal rehab. I needed a shoe with good support, and easy on/off. This shoe had everything I wanted -- the Velcro made for quick fastening without prolonged bending over, and the arch support was fine. I had a problem however with the top edge of the tongue cutting into me that was painful. I don't have especially difficult-to-fit feet normally, yet this shoe came too far up the front of my foot. I finally gave them away.

They are ok.
I like the color rose and white. But after two days of wearing them my toes were rubbing the top and were very uncomfortable. My other Propét shoes don't do that. The arches seem to be fine.

Be careful if wide, swollen feet is the issue -
I bought, and had to return, a pair of the Propet Tour Walker Pro Velcro. I wanted them to replace SAS Me Too Velcro shoes (which are twice the price) but the 7 /12 XX of SAS is wider by a fair margin than the Propet of the same size. Propets aren't good if there is an edema issue; the velcro is not long enough to close around a fat foot.
That said, the shoe is handsome and well-constructed, and if you don't have a swelling issue they would be a smart buy. Zappos did the shipping and return with ZERO hassles, so they are a good merchant to work with.

Returning. The removable insole does not extend the full length of the shoes; there is a small space before the toes. Really, you couldn't cut a piece of foam properly? Unacceptable for this brand and for the price.
