I have flat feet. I am pre-diabetic. A few months ago I fractured a bone in my right foot. For all those reasons I really needed comfortable and supportive shoes, with Velcro closures, that would take me through the last days of my foot injury and still be good shoes after I healed. I have purchased and liked the Orthaheel Walker in the past, but I could not find any with the Velcro closures or dressier styles. I was encouraged by the reviews for this brand and ordered these walking shoes, as well as their mary jane version for the dressier times. Unfortunately both pairs of shoes turned out to not only fail at providing the support they claimed, they actually made my feet hurt more, even with my orthotic inserts. Both feet hurt, not just the injured one. My injury is now healed, and the shoes still hurt my feet. These shoes look good online, but there is no support of any kind in the construction, which is clearly visible once you inspect one in hand. I could see it. But I still doubted myself and wore them anyway, thinking that I just needed to break them in or wait until my foot healed fully. I was wrong. I do not understand how this brand could have so many positive reviews. I would have done better going to Wal Mart and paying less for a cheap pair of sneakers. If I could have given these a zero (or better yet, a negative number) for comfort, I would have. The only positive that I can offer is that the fit was good - if you do not plan on walking.

I wore these shoes for one week - they ended up hurting my feet - esp. the right shoe which seems to be defective. I have tried TWICE to contact Propet through their website - no response other than the confirmation that my complaint was received. NOW I am stuck with shoes that I can't wear and can't return!

Yes, the shoe looks nice but I think Propet has a lot of nerve calling these "walkers" because it's the last thing I want to do in them. Though photos make the sole look thicker than it is, there is in reality only about a quarter of an inch between your foot and the pavement you actually feel like you are walking on concrete. Because the rubber is so hard, the shoe does not bend well as you walk, and then, because it is so hard, the sole rubber cracks...but you won't discover that until the first time you step into a puddle of water and find it leaking into your shoe. I won't have another Propet after my experience with this shoe.

The X (2e) is not extra-wide. I ordered this shoe to replace a similar Easy Spirit shoe which is getting worn out now and the Propet shoe is much narrower. What value is the shoe if it doesn't fit?

These shoe hurt my feet from the start, cut too small. Had to go up to a size 11, which I never wear! Only wore them one week and never put them back on!

Worse shoes ever. The color, the shine. I felt like I was wearing something cheap and could not even think of wearing them to the office. They will be returned.

Would NOT buy again! I needed shoes that fit properly. Podiatrist said I'm a size 10, width 4E. It has been a struggle to find shoes that fit my wide foot. I thought these shoes would end my struggle. WRONG! These shoes are not comfortable. They are definitely NOT wide enough to fit a 4E.

Not what I expected - This shoe is too stiff to wear. I ordered extra wide but only the velcro allowed closure where I needed it, so I'd say the width was not what I get in any other wide tennis shoes. MOST IMPORTANT, after wearing, my feet hurt like never before in my life.
