Loved the shoe but it was far too wide. Though it seemed to fit front to back, it felt about half a foot too wide.

I am writing a review on the Arizona soft-bed suede sandal after having worn them for an entire summer. Back story...I have size 12 narrow feet with a low arch (not flat) and a low rise. I call them my pancake feet! While I don't mind the look of Birks on other people, they are not my choice of style for myself (the more feminine women's styles do not come big enough for my feet). I bought these sandals because I really needed a supportive walking sandal after my beloved Clarks wore out (the new styles don't fit the same). I was willing to invest in them because so many people have sworn by them. I tried two sizes, 43 and 44 narrow. My toes hit the end of the 43s so I sent them back and kept the 44s even though they felt a little long and a little wide. I punched extra holes in the straps to make them narrower and keep my feet from shifting. I proceeded to wear them all over the place throughout the summer. They were comfortable and held up well. Somewhere around August my hips starting ACHING; I felt like an elderly arthritic woman and took a bunch of Ibuprofen. I attributed it to other things and even spoke with my chiropractor about it. When Fall came, I was back in my Asics (with customized orthotics) and Dansko professional clogs and felt back to my old self. It wasn't until I spent a day back in the Birks and my hips staring hurting again that I finally made the connection that it was a result of wearing these sandals. So alas, my search for a walkable sandal with have to continue. I will wear the Birks as a quick slip on to go into the yard, but that is probably about it. Thought it might be helpful for some to hear a customer with a different experience. No complaints over the quality and definitely no complaints with Zappos!

the straps seem to be uneven, and one foot slides in more than the other even though they're at the same notch. i'm bummed by it :(

Birkenstock Arizona - Bought them because I have plantar fasciitis and needed the support for the beach. They were fine, I think they need to be broken in a bit before they are comfortable but the suede was soft and easy on the skin. I think I should have gotten the narrow even though I don't normally order narrows because these are very wide and loose on my feet but fine for the beach and pool. Wouldn't walk around town in them.

Break them in slowly - I wore them while doing laundry and for a few hours for a couple of weeks to try to break them in. I took them camping and the ridge under my toes started to hurt. Not bad enough that I couldn't walk it's just that nothing touches that area so much with my other shoes. They have great arch support and once they're broken in they feel good.

Birkenstock Arizona - women's review - I had a pair of Bass sandals that "look like" Birkenstock's. I have loved them and have not been able to replace them. I paid an high price for these and they are not as comfortable and they are much more cloddy than the Bass ones I had. They tend to run big - I am a US size 7 and my Bass sandals were 7's but the Euro 38's are bigger and I probably could have gone with a 6-6.5 (37) instead. I wore my old sandals every day every where...

Runs larger and wider than they should - My foot slides forward in this style. It's too bad because Arizona has the most color choices. My foot doesn't slide in NEPAL. I need to think of a solution for this because of the new fall colors! I ordered the narrow. I fell Birkenstock runs wide. This show also runs a little longer.

This Birkenstock Arizona was very floppy and not a slip-on at all. I am returning for a different style that will allow me to slip on the sandals easily.

My mistake to buy unisex birkenstock. It was too big for me. The size and width both. I ended up giving it to someone else

Hurt my feet at the sides.

Ouch! I had such high hopes for these based on the great reviews. The hard cork footbed along with the high arch support and the weird raised part between the toes hurt so bad! Maybe I will try the soft footbed.

The sandal is too narrow for me. When I wrote that in a previous email, it said it would be easy to return them, but there was no link telling me how to do it. When I went to the Zappos website I could not find information about making a return. Please advice

The shows came without a box and buckel undone as if someone just returned them. I would like a replacement size 36 in a darker shade, ie brown. Taupe too light. Not true to color.

Because these shoes are unisex, the product description suggested selecting “narrow” if purchasing for a woman’s foot. So I ordered 38 N, but I wish I hadn’t. These shoes were more narrow than my regular women’s 38 Birks. Sending them back for the regular 38.

I have narrow feet and even with the correct size in length these shoes are just not as comfortable as the thing Birks (which I owe about 10 pairs of and now have fallen in love with the rubber Ava like or is it Eva) check them out. Great for the beach or a rainy day. My husband only wears these and his feet are wide so very comfortable.

Very disappointed in the quality of these sandals. The tread is separating after only 3 months of wear. I purchased these based on reports from others but can say they are no better than average quality.

I was really hoping these would be the comfortable sandals everyone says they are, but my toes hit the front of the sandal as I walk (and I went to the larger size!)

Las Vegas Shoe Review - I bought these shoes to wear in Las Vegas on vacation. I found that after I had worn them for about an hour, they started to make my legs hurt. I had to carry an extra pair of shoes with me whenever I wore them.

I returned them because they were not comfortable. I’ve tried on Birkenstocks a long time ago and at that time they did not feel good. Since so many people love them I thought I’d try them again. They just aren’t made for my feet.

For the first time ever, the stitching holding the buckle onto the strap closest to the toes was instantly irritating. Had I worn these shoes even for a half hour, they would have rubbed blisters onto the skin of my feet. I don't understand - is Birkenstock going with the cheap thread or something?

I purchased these for my granddaughter as a gift. Being a kid she never noticed or mentioned the shoes were 2 different sizes. One shoe was a 35 and the other shoe was a 36! also, she lives in a different state than I do-once I saw her again she mentioned this to me. And of course it has been some time since seeing her. I did contact ZAPPOS but since she had worn the shoes they would not exchange. Which i do understand, but a coupon for a future purchase would have made me a satisfied customer. Please make sure to check size upon arrival and before wearing.

I bought these as a gift and after the recipient wore them she realized the shoes were 2 different sizes! Zappos would not take a return since they had been worn. Make sure to check size upon arrival.
