I wear an 8.5 and the 39 fit perfectly fine. My foot are narrow so the narrow width was perfect. For individuals like myself that have narrow feet and find it extremely difficult to find a sandal that fits this is the shoe to try. You can make them as snug as you want them. I had a pair of decades ago and the same exact size still fits as my feet have not changed in size. I went for the mocha suede which works better against a fair skin tone.

I had forgotten how fantastic Birkenstock sandals are! These sandals took about a day to break in/or for my feet to adjust to them. I can wear them all day in comfort with great support. I'll never be without a pair of Birks again. I am a big guy who is very picky about footwear and need great support and comfort. These sandals fit the bill.

Nice comfy sandal that will last for years. True to size. Adjustable straps came in handy when I was pregnant and had swelling feet. I would definitely purchase again.

The suede Arizona is an oldie but goodie. This is my 2nd pair of these Arizona's. I got my first pair in 1988 and had them for years...literally years! I re-corked them, replaced the footbed...they were my Energizer Bunny shoes. I own about 6 pairs of Birks and these have always been my favorite. They go with everything and are just classic. Looking for an old friend? Slide your foot into the Suede Arizona...you'll thank yourself for it!

Bought these as a gift for my mother, she has worn Birkenstock all her life since she was young and her other pairs were pretty worn out, so we picked out these suede ones and she absolutely loves them. They are great for everyday wear wince they have good arch support and fit to the contours of your feet. Also super comfortable for short or long amounts of walking, we're very pleased with the purchase and will be buying more in the future.

At first I was skeptical about paying $125 for a pair of sandals but it took my chance and I can say I am don't regret one bit!! So comfortable and perfectly perfect for ANY occasion. 100% recommend.

The great thing about the Arizona is that it's the same shoe it's always going to be the same shoe. Even when you've worn through about 10 pairs of them over the years. Would I buy it again? You know it. Will these "wear out" in a few years of wearing them daily? Probably, but then I'll be right back here buying them again. I'd like to see a shoe as functional as the AZ.

To fully appreciate the functional benefits of Birksenstock, wearing the correct fitting size does matter. Regarding width's , Birkenstock's narrow (N) is likely a correct fit for females with medium width feet, and for males with narrow and or shallow instep feet. Females with a slightly wider foot will likely find a correct fit with Birkenstock's regular/medium (M) width , as will the majority of males. When standing erect, with one's weight evenly distributed, a correct fit is achieved when there is approximately .25 inch of space between the foot and the raised walls of the footbed ( at the heel-sides-toe areas). Once the correct footbed size is determined, the wearer may use the buckles to adjust the upper straps. When adjusted correctly, the straps should be snug to the top of the foot, but not tight.

So thankful that these are made in Narrow width!! These are so perfect -- my daughter just loves them. They're comfortable right out of the box -- no break in time required with this soft suede. Great shoes!

I am a longtime Birkenstock wearer. The classic footbed and the soft footbed. Both are excellent and comfortable. If you are use to the classic footbed there is a little bit of break in time with the soft footbed for your foot to rest inside the shoe....but worth it. My foot is a bit on the wider side but the narrow width is for an a or b width and works great. The normal width is for very wide feet. Can't beat Birkenstock for an excellent sandle with support. I think they are cute in an organic way.......Love them

This is my second order of Birkenstock sandals. My previous order was a Flos style which is no longer in stock I was sad to learn. This new pair seems a little bigger, but the footbed is comfortable and that's all I need this summer. This is my first leather style pair. They are very comfortable to slip on, although I'm still trying to figure out what setting I need for the straps. They look great in and out of the house. The last pair lasted several summers and only wore out when I wore them on a three-mile hike.

Best sandals I've ever owned. Great arch support. These ran wider and slightly bigger than other Birkenstocks I've owned, so I followed reviewers' advice and sized down and opted to go narrow. Great advice. Love these.

I was so disappointed...I ordered a size 40...but it was way too big. At the time I was wearing my size 40, old, paint covered shoe and I needed a replacement...but, alas....it wasn't meant to be. Why is the new shoe so different from the old shoe??

What can I say, these are the classic Birkenstock Arizonas! Love them. Fit is true to size. What made them even better was the Zappos customer service! Fast shipping!

My day includes walking dogs, grocery shopping, meeting friends for lunch, and more. Flip flops are not an option, because my 52 year old feet need good arch support. I wore Birkenstocks 30 years ago, and am glad to report they are just as sturdy as before. No feet, ankle, or knee pain, which means the shoes are doing a good job with support. And I can wear these shoes with a wide variety of clothes and still look stylish.

Sizing runs true. Good for feet that need wide widths. Definitely recommend breaking them in by wearing a few hours at a time around the house for a few days. Comfort increases the more they're worn.

Bought these for my husband. He has been wearing a Birkenhead pr of sandals, for beach and pool. It was time to step up! He loves the feel and support.

I buy a new pair of Birkenstock Arizonas about every 2 years, and wear them indoors all day, every day (I work from a home office). I also have several outdoor pairs of Birkenstocks in different styles/colors for summertime use. It takes me 2 years of daily use to wear out the cork -- the heel end will eventually crumble. But they are SO comfortable that nothing else comes close -- I have bunions and have found nothing else as supportive and pain-free to wear as this shoe. The suede is soft and needs no breaking in, and the molded cork cradles/supports your foot. So do your feet a favor -- these are the best.

I've always wanted to purchase a pair of these, but I've been hesitant because I have narrow feet and they never have my size in stores for me to accurately try them on (they always look so huge on my feet!). However, I finally committed and am so happy I did! I typically wear size 6.5-7, I bought size 37 in narrow and they fit great. There's enough room in the front and back and I have the buckles on the smallest setting. They take a while to get used to walking in and I'm still breaking them in but I know they'll only get more comfortable in time. Definitely recommend!

I love these but it took me 3 tries to get the right size. I ended up 2 sizes down from my regular shoe size. Luckily they have free shipping.
