Great sandals. I wear them for hiking, bouldering, lounging, and just walking to classes. The adjustment process can be a little frustrating, but once that perfect fit is acquired the sandals are perfect.

I have a narrow foot and sandals have to have extra straps to hold them on. What is great about these sandals is the tie down strap can be loose and the sandals still stay on. So I put them on like slippers keeping the tie down strap loose unless I were to do some serious hiking. This model has a lot of tread so it should last long. I am also glad that I did not buy the model with the big toe strap as it is not needed for my use.

These were for my brother-in-law; replacing a pair he had worn for several years. Same great fit and construction!

Ordered and received my Chaco's in short order. I have an older pair that my son absconded with when he went back to college. My new Chaco's are an improvement over my 10 year old Chaco's. I ordered a half size smaller than my shoe after reading other Zappos' reviews...worked out fine. As far as Zappos...first rate service. As far as Chaco's this is a great shoe for wet applications. I use them on the river during the summer.

Chaco's are my favorite. I would wear them 7days a week if I could. I wear them year-round. In the winter I have on wool socks and Chaco's.

Zappos delivers. They're a great company with prompt service. The sandals I bought were as advertised and arrived quickly.

Bar none the best sandal ever made. These have substantial arch and heel support. I could run a marathon in them. And the tread is great for plodding through creeks with wet slippery rocks. Fit your foot like a glove. Once you get a pair of Z1s, they will be your forever sandals.

I bought a pair of these to replace the ones I owned before. They were very durable, easy to clean (just soak them in some laundry detergent and then scrub them with a stiff brush), and comfortable. I wish they came in half sizes. I could use a US size 11½ as the strap did not tighten down far enough on the size 12 and the sole is a bit smaller than I would like on the size 11. I kept the size 11 as they are fine in the long run.

These are great sandals, the other pair I have are Keen. The quality is great, very durable. I use them for biking and walking. It's hard to imagine ever wearing them out. These are great if you have hard to fit regular shoes. They're plenty wide for my wide feet even though they're marked as only D width. My heel did feel a little tight between the rear straps though. I seem to be getting use to that though. Since I'm retired these are all I've been wearing since I've gotten them.

I originally looked at Chaco sandals based upon my wife's recommendation and satisfaction with her sandals. I was a little concerned about how they would work as my feet tend to develop blisters if the fit is not just right. I received the sandals and adjusted them per the instructions and immediately began wearing them full time. These sandals provide great arch support, are extremely comfortable and so far have not bothered my feet. I need to get used to the adjustment and found that wearing them loose made a big difference in terms of comfort. These are now my go to sandals that I wear full time. I would highly recommend anyone looking for sandals that are comfortable, rugged and fit great to go with Chaco.

Being a rather dedicated other brand of sandal type dude, I hesitated trying Chaco for years. What a mistake that was. These are the best sandals ever. They have great arch support, which cured my back problems - and there is no going back. I wear Birkenstock and Footprints along with Chaco Ped Sheds and Unaweeps. Happy Feet.

I've owned several pairs of Chacos and these sandals are excellent. Great arch support for my plantar fascia. I can wear them all day. They were great on a recent Europe trip that involved a lot of walking. No issues with breaking them in. Just strap them on and go. I've been wearing an 11.5 for running shoes, but the 11 fits great in the sandals.

Eureka! Great find. I had a pair of these four years ago, but gave them away one year ago to my brother-in-law who needed just this sort of thing. I thought I could get another pair just about anywhere, but went a whole year without finding them. Duh, then I searched online. These are fabulous because their arch is high and the straps are comfortable, plus waterproof.

Very comfortable! Takes some getting used to for the straps move inside the shoe! But it means a really snug and secure fit. Lots of support. Very comfortable.

This is a high quality sandal that, once adjusted, fits your foot perfectly. It is comfortable to wear all day and night. I do wear 1/2 a size larger in a Chaco than I do in most other shoes. But overall, awesome shoe.

I bought these for my teenage son who has had surgery on his feet and needs good arches and supportive footwear. He normally wears an orthotic, but in the summer, he likes sandals. He had a pair of Keens which were great, but he complained that his feet would get sweaty. These are unbelievable. Chaco's really cradle your feet in a natural way. Arch support is excellent. And he especially likes the "Z" pattern suntan he gets when he wears them.

I have owned a pair of these sandals for about three years now, and they are still as good as the day I bought them. I wear them every day the weather permits, for a wide variety of activities, and they have yet to disappoint me. These sandals are sturdy and well-constructed and I am confident that I will get many more years of use out of them, as they show only minimal wear on the soles, despite my heavy use. The unique strapping system holds my narrow foot in place securely, as well as providing those awesome Z-shaped tan lines. The arch support is the best I have found in any sandal. I have fairly high arches, and after many hours of walking around in these I get some soreness, but the only things I own that are more comfortable are my running shoes with my custom orthotics. So like I said, the best arch support I've found in something that's not custom-made. One thing I feel I should mention is that the texture of the footbed causes it to sort of accumulate grime, especially if you mostly wear these sandals barefoot. This is not really a big deal to me, and I did not deduct any points for it because any shoe you regularly wear barefoot is eventually going to get a little funky. In any case, these are water-friendly sandals so they are super easy to clean. (I give them a good scrub with a stiff-bristled brush and a bit of dish soap every other week or so) I should also mention I typically wear a size 11 or 11 1/2 in most shoes, and found that the 10 was sufficient in the Chacos. I would highly recommend the Z1s. They are the best sandals I have ever owned, bar none, and you should get a pair of them too.

Second pair of Chacos. First pair had the toe loop, so I'm trying the style without this time. So far I'm liking it better without.

I purchased this product from my favorite shoe store approximately six months ago. I have found them to surpass all my expectations. I have worn them from the beaches of Cape Cod directly to a baseball game with no problems. They are my go to sandal in the warmer weather.

I've been wearing Chaco sandals since 2003. I wear them canoeing, bicycling, hiking, and just around the house. I've even tightened up the straps and played basketball in them. I live on a creek and when I want to go wading I just keep on walking into the water. And if my Chacos get really dirty, they just drop into the washing machine. These sandals have a better foot bed than any shoes I've seen. Every year I look forward to the temperature getting warmer so I can throw my shoes in the closet until the next winter. Chacos are the best footwear I've ever owned, period.

Great sandals! Hefty sole and ultra adjustable straps make this almost like a breezy shoe, but these are all good things since it'll stand up to what I throw at it.

I ordered a pair for each of my two grandchildren, my daughter and son-in-law who are moving to a country with a really hot climate. They all came quickly and were exactly what they wanted. Thanks Zappos.

Bought these for my boyfriend who is very averse to wearing any type of sandals. He moved to Hawaii a few years ago and these seem to finally be shoes he feels comfortable in. They hold his feet firmly in place, without binding. And he likes the strap around the heel. We did a short hike in them and found they offer excellent support as well. We love Chacos! I've worn the same pair for about ten years now and they are still good as new, aside from some fading of the color in the strap from all the sun.

What else can I say, I love these sandals! My hubby and I recently took a vacation to Orlando and I wore them every day. The one day that I started out wearing a pair of sneakers I got a blister before lunch, so I went out to the car to change back to the sandals. I'll never make that mistake again. My thanks to Chaco for making an awesome product!
