My husband loves these socks and wears them with his sandals during the cooler days of winter in South Texas.

I wear the style Mountaineering because they are the thickest, and yes, they don't shrink and last forever. I started buying them because I have skinny feet and they help make up the difference in shoes that are too wide. On top of it all they are tremendously comfortable and I wear them year round. They are like walking on clouds. I just wish that they came in black so I could wear them with my dress shoes. Even low cut and strappy.

I have been wearing Smartwool socks for nearly 20 years now, so I am definitely a sold customer. I live/work in harsh austere environments; pretty much every known war zone/conflict area the past two decades. Smartwools are get in hot and cold; humid and dry. Smartwools are one of the best brands I have ever worn and they survive my lifestyle and the only other sock I will recommend are Patagonia socks.

Great socks - highly recommended! I have issues with sweaty feet. These socks work as they claim, wicking the moisture away and keeping my feet dry and warm - even in the winter months.

I bought these socks for my son. He has no complaints. He works outdoors in cold, wet weather. His feet remain warm and dry. The socks are well constructed with generous padding on the bottom of the socks. The thickness is just right for work boots or athletic shoes. These should last for a very long time and are worth the money. Wool socks rock! Now I want some!

I wear these almost constantly in cold weather. They're great under boots or just with slip-ons. I even wear them to bed to keep my feet warm! They never itch like most wool.

Smartwool socks are great--have been wearing them for years. You can't go wrong. These hiking medium crews are thick for Alaska winter warmth, but not so thick they can't fit into most of my shoes and boots. Love them. They wash and dry in the dryer--don't shrink.

Smartwool's are a great all around sock - light cushion, breathable, durable.

These were a gift for my son-in-law. He was thrilled beyond words and buying them all in one color really helps with laundry sorting!

The only socks my (grown) son will wear! They wear like iron and he tells me they are more comfortable than any others he's worn.

They are warm and toasty, slightly bulky in shoes, but great in my boots.

I am super picky about my socks and these are very nice socks. They cost a lot of money for socks but are worth it. They feel very good on my feet! Nothing like some cheaper wool socks I have worn. No itchy, rough or harsh feeling on my skin. They are just the right thickness and keep my toes warm.

I sent the Smartwool Hiking socks to my son in Afghanistan for the cold damp weather they have starting in November. I had them shipped directly to him and he received them within 4 days of my order. He wrote me a few days later saying the are "Awesome". He also said he would be ordering more and will pass the word onto his troops.

Happy feet - You can't do enough for your feet because if their not happy the rest of your body will pay. These socks wrap your feet in comfort and I would highly recommend them!!!

Best socks ever - All of my kids and my spouse love their Smartwools. In fact they really won't wear anything else. They are all into skiing, hiking, biking, and other outdoor sports.

The ULTIMATE Sock - I have had several pairs of Smartwool Hikers for over 5 years and have abused them as work socks. I recently bought several more pairs and I can't tell which ones are the old ones! They are phenomenal. They wick, cushion, snug fit, and last like no other sock I know of...and I am a connoisseur of socks. They don't unravel, lose their elasticity, wear out at the heel or toe...I could go on, but you should buy a pair and see for yourself.

Smartwool socks- My husband is a little obsessed with his Smartwool socks. He has several pairs which he has worn for years. They last forever and are completely washable. Now I have bought several pairs for my father and he too is addicted. Not cheap but worth the price.

These socks rock- I just find these to be the best socks for someone like me who needs secure fit with good heel protection. My calcaneous sticks out and having the right socks saves on blisters. These socks are going traveling to Mali!
