Love these socks! I've worn them for years & they last forever. I usually buy a few more pairs every few years. In the summer I wear for hiking. In the winter I wear them everyday with boots & just around the house.

Love love love Smartwool socks. Purchased these to wear with hiking boots. Great cushion on bottom, thick enough to provide protection on rest of foot/ankle and hugs foot well. Hiked in Colorado in July and these were perfect.

I love SmartWool socks! I have had SmartWools for years, wear them every day, and they stay in great condition for a long time. They are soft, fit well without moving around, wick moisture away from the foot, and prevent any rubbing. I wear these for every day wear and for hiking. Men's medium fits women's shoe size 11 perfectly.

I purchased these socks for my first hike, so this is my first pair of hiking socks. They offered a lot of cushioning during my hike. I'm not sure if they should fit better (i.e., support), but I think they are a little small. I wear a size 9 shoe, and there's not a lot of room left in these socks. However, they certainly served their purpose during my hike -- wicking sweat from my feet, cushioning my feet, and no slipping into my boots.

I am very pleased with these socks. I bought a pack last winter. They kept my feet very warm through the very bitter winter of 2014-2015 and have held up admirably. This winter I am buying an additional pack.

Costco's Kirkland brand trail socks are actually pretty darn good, but they aren't carried year-round, and in all sizes. So, I turned to the Smartwool brand. They offer plenty of cushion and are made extremely well. Slightly pricey (compared to Costco), but a good investment. I wear a 14 shoe, and the XL socks are perfect.

Perfect for hiking in Utah in January - warm enough without being hot, wicking and comfy from the start. Not too thin, not too thick.

Pretty standard 3-pack of mid-weight hikers, these socks are great for all-around wear whether your outside or in the office on a casual dress day. Very soft feel and just the right thickness.

The best socks I've ever owned!! I wear these with my Fall/Winter boots. Super soft and warm but they aren't like other socks that make my feet sweat. The cushion on the soles of these are perfect, and the seams on the toes aren't noticeable at all, which I find is a problem with a lot of other heavy socks I own. These are definitely a must have!

I got a Men's LG and I have a size 11.5 shoe. Wore these on the four day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and they were great. Longest I wore one pair was two days in a row (even while I was sleeping), and no issues whatsoever. Kind of thick, but that's what you need for hiking boots. Also they kept my feet warm at night. Go for 'em!

I absolutely love these socks. They are thick and very warm, and have a bit of a cushion on the bottom which makes them so comfortable and provides a little bit of support.

These socks are amazing. They feel so soft and plush and definitely help keep your feet warm. They don't slip down your leg beneath your boots, either. Highly recommended.

Ordered the Smartwool socks. They arrived next day with no issues. Great socks, comfortable warm. And Zappos is a great place to get them!

Pretty good socks for moisture wicking, but I feel the price point is just too high to buy more. If they were in a lower bracket I believe they could net more profit.

Great sock. Wool makes me itch, but this merino wool is just fine for long exposure times. The sock wicks well during a work day, and I took them to Tahoe for some boarding this weekend, and they performed admirably under my boots. Not too thick, however, if you have shoes that fight on the tight side where you usually wear thin socks, these will make the shoes uncomfortable. They probably add a 1/2 size to your shoe size. Makes a decent relaxed work sock.

Great socks for all seasons in my opinion. I have three other pairs that are just wearing out after three years of daily use. I wear them walking/hiking/running with my dog in all seasons. They also keep my feet toasty while in the house during the winter.

These socks are so great that they are the only socks my son will wear now. He is a college student and does a great deal of walking. The socks keep his feet warm and dry.

These socks are great. Dropping that kind of money on socks took some thought but I soon realized they were worth every penny. I spend a ton of money on shoes being diabetic and normally just wore a cotton sock until I started walking a lot and my feet hurt from the cotton not wicking the sweat and did some research and these were the best for the money. They wash up real nice in the machine also.

Wonderful socks. Keep warm but not sweaty. Great cushioning. Not good for tight shoes - but otherwise - really nice. Only negative is - once wear - don't want to wear anything else. Keep digging through other socks in drawer to get to these.

I gave these as a gift for Christmas. My future son-in-law was delighted. He said he was amazed at their warmth and comfort. I've had other smart wool socks for myself and been impressed by how long they last.
