I might never wear another shoe again. These have really improved my lower back pain. I wear a U.S. size 11 but found 42 to fit just right.

Dansko Professional - I love my Dansko Professional. From other reviews, I thought it might run wide so I first ordered the "Narrow Pro". However, it was too narrow through the instep so I had to return it in exchange for the medium width. They do run a little wide through the toe part of the shoe, but true to width in the instep. Everything else was true to size. They are excellent quality and good looking. Once I got the correct size, they are great. I also ordered the "Sonja" (I think that's what it was called) with the open back as I liked this one so well. I love them both. Zappos offers great service also. They were here so fast. Good choice!!

Why did I wait so long to invest? I told myself I would spend the $100+ on Danskos when it was time to go back to med school (I'm working on some research now)... but all day on my feet in the lab, my back and knees have been killing me, so I splurged, and after 5 minutes of putting them on, my whole body felt better. My posture improved immediately today, and I was just a happier person. Happy feet! So it was either a very expensive placebo effect, OR all the reviews I read on here before I bought my shoes were right, and I should have invested in these shoes sooner. I don't mean to sound obsessive, but these ARE the best shoes I've ever had. More comfortable than sneakers or even (gasp!) slippers! If you're hemming and hawing over the expense, it is just like everyone says, Dansko is superior! I wish I knew about these back when I waitressed too. Zappo's speed and ease makes me want to keep getting more shoes here! More colors!

Comfortable "All Purpose" Shoe! I was looking for a shoe that I could wear almost anywhere and that would be warm and comfortable for winter wear. Dankso's Professional has fit the bill. I haven't worn any other shoe this winter (even to church!). Just recently I got into some deep mud, which DIDN'T seep inside, and they cleaned up good as new afterwards with a wet paper towel.

Excellent times three! Dansko's and Zappo's - After having Planter faciitis surgery on both feet with still no positive result with the left foot, I find I can literally walk if not run without pain. I too am on my feet with concrete floor 8 hrs. each day for work. The shoe helps my posture and places the pressure more to the front and off the heel. Feels like I am walking on a pillow, they are so comfortable. This is my second pair and I will not look elsewhere when it comes to work shoes. Also Zappos's on line was excellent in shipping and delivery. Within a few days I had my shoes, free shipping. They are well worth every penny. The shoes saved my feet and job. I love the comfort and style. Soo cute!!! and comfy. Trust me, you won't be disappointed if you have problem feet. I cannot say enough good. Keep making them I have 15 more years of work to go.... Thank you Dansko's and Zappo's Mary

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought. After wearing them for 8 hours at work I dont have to rush home and take them off. They are attractive and durable. I highly recommend them to anyone who is on their feet for any length of time.

Dansko Professional - I work at two different retail locations. I'm on my feet the whole day. I realize the importance of having a better quality shoe due do getting older and keeping my legs and feet looking more attractive. This shoe is awesome and I will buy more and tell everyone I know about them and how wonderful Zappos is.

These have been helping with a standing job while experiencing a lot of back pain. Back pain seems better. They're kind of heavy, but that doesn't seem to matter. I always wear barefoot-love 'em!

This was the first time I tried Dansko. I have a small wide foot with a high instep so this style did not work for me, too tight across the top of my foot. Unfortunately, this is the only style that comes in a wide width, so I will have to try something else.

I've owned these shoes for years. For me there is one problem with them: they dig into the top of my foot so bad I am always left with a mark. Sometimes the pressure makes me feel claustrophobic. Other than that they are extremely comfortable though, and I've worn them quite a lot anyway.

Great clog. I work 60 to 80 hours a week in a high paced kitchen and this clog has done wonders for my feet. I do feel size chart is a half size off but I knew that before ordering. High arch and stiff footbed take getting used to but are worth it in the long run.

I am a pharmacist and I am on my feet all day long. I suffer from flat feet so I feel like I have tried every shoe on the market. I bought these at the recommendation of another pharmacist. I purchased a wide with a size larger, but I had to return them because they were too big. They fit well, are very comfortable and my feet felt a lot better at the end of the day. But they do look very girly. I ended up ordering the Dansko Theos. They look more like a man's shoe and they are very comfortable. Not as good as these, but at least I am not embarrassed to wear them in public.

I really wanted to love these shoes, but after about 6 months of wearing them, I finally gave them up. The Good: I work in a kitchen for 8+ hours on my feet every day. These give great support and the bottom of my feet never felt as "tired" and sore when wearing them. They look very professional-looking, and are a breeze to clean, even after spilling food all over them. The Bad: The band across the top left a mark on my foot, even months after the should have been broken in. (It just went away after two months of disuse.) Sometimes it would rub so much, the top of my foot would hurt. I've read a few reviews with the same complaint. A more unique complaint is that the stiff backs would sometimes catch on stairs (both home and at work) and nearly caused me to fall. This may be a sizing issue, though I did have measurements taken by a shoe store before buying these.

I've had my Dansko clogs for 2 months and I absolutely love them. I must say, there was a breaking-in period. I developed a blister on my instep as well as on my heel. But within 10 days I was good to go. That might seem crazy to some people, but the long-term comfort and support is well worth it. I can be on my feet for 12 hours without even thinking about my feet. I also wasn't sure if I would find the clogs fashionable, but they look cute with most things.

I had to go up a size in these shoes. Beware that the patent does not stretch like the others do. They are the best for my plantar faciitis.

I have purchased Danskos for years and this new pair completely sucked. Apparently they have a new manufacturer and are not made to the standards I had loved and trusted. My previous pairs lasted at least a year and that was with many shifts going 12 hours or more. This pair lasted about 3 months after that they became uncomfortable to wear long hours and no not just uncomfortable, downright friggin' painful. I used to be able to wear my Dansko up all day and not hobble out of work. I am really ticked off that I paid this much for these and they are not the Danskos they used to be. Really ticked off, so I am going to try Sanita, let's see how those work.

It has taken me a while to get used to how much higher the heel is than the forefoot, but with time they are growing on me. And now I stand a good 2-3" taller than I used to in the OR. I tried the version without the heel counter first and thought I was going to break my ankles on them so I opted for this style. I previously had the plastic Birkis for several years, which had less of a heel and were very comfortable, but were made of a plastic that didn't allow my feet to breathe and would get very hot and sweaty. These are much better in that regard.

I ordered these looking for something with more support for long hours on a concrete floor. I'd heard great things about Dansko. The price is a bit off-putting for work shoes but I decided to jump give them a try. I have a big foot (men's size 15) so I have trouble if things aren't true to size. The Men's 48 claims to be the equivalent to my size but it's not even close. They seem like they'd be very comfortable so it's quite disappointing.

The only reason I'm not giving these a 5 star Overall is because of how long and hard it was to break them in. It took almost 2 weeks (10 work days) to fully break them in and learn how to walk in them. Now, they're amazing. Well worth the money. I work at a hospital in Sterile Processing, and I see nurses everywhere wearing them, and for good reason! They are so comfortable. I'm glad I decided to stick it out through the breaking-in process. I accidentally wiped them off with PDI wipes after a day in the decontamination area, and I thought the leather was ruined! But just one coat of Kiwi black leather polish had them back and good as new. I only wish I could afford right now to have another pair for casual wear!

Nice pair of shoes but I noticed a little excessive wear from being in the box. This is more than I would have liked.

I really want to love these shoes. They are super cute. I got one pair and they were a little tight but after two weeks fit perfectly, but then the top scuffed off on the toes! Zappos sent me a replacement pair and I packed up the perfect fitting ones and sent them off. The new pair is the same size and has not stretched out nearly as much after a few weeks. I wish the sizing was more consistent. But, they sure are cute! My last pair of Danskos lasted 6 years and I had hoped to get that with these, but we will see. I might end up taking them to a cobbler to see if they can stretch them for me.

This is the 2nd pair of Danskos I've tried - they just don't work for my feet (size 11). My toes rub against the toe box and when I walk the back flips off my heel. They are really cute though!

This shoe is very durable and comfortable. Love the black patent, pretty stylish for a casual shoe. My last pair held up for 8 years before the staples started to come out along the sole, and I probably could have had them repaired to last much longer. Living in San Diego, I only wear these shoes 3 months out of the year. When I ordered this replacement pair, immediately the right shoe felt much smaller all around than the left. The shoes are marked the same size and I don't have different sized feet. I think it's a QC issue at the factory? After wearing for a few weeks it is tolerable, but still uncomfortable across the top. I hope by the end of winter here they will be stretched out enough that I will want to wear this pair again for many, many years. I should have returned them right away, but I was anxious for a new pair right away, after the staples came out of my old pair one day in January.

I own several pairs of Dansko Professionals (black box, white box, brown cabrio, and two others) and for some reason the black patent ones fit much differently. They are at least a half size larger. I have tried on a few in my regular size 37, and they all fit large. I ordered a size down, and they were too small. I am returning them and going to try the new professional XP ones hoping the added cushion inside makes up for the size difference.

I wear a woman's 8, so I ordered a size 39. That fits fine if I wear socks with the shoe. I wear a uniform for work and I wear compression hosiery. I had to order a 39 narrow to accomodate hosiery. Otherwise, the shoe would be too loose on my foot. I am still trying to get used to the semi-loose fit that is normal for a Dansko, but overall I like the shoe. My feet and back don't hurt after a 13-hour work day. The shoes are heavy and kind of ugly, but my feet are happy.
