Ugly-cute clogs for nursing ! I purchased the Professional locally (sadly, Zappos has been out of my size for a while) and fell in love with them the first day. I'm currently doing clinical rotations at a children's hospital, and I do not sit down for 7 or more hours. This shoe is very stable. As explained to me by the store where I purchased them, this is a clog. You should be able to fit a finger between your heel and the back of the shoe. Your heel must move up and down. It took me maybe 5 minutes to get used to these. The shoe has a very firm arch support (Yippee!) and a firm, supportive insole. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10, which would be a size 40, but I had to buy a 41 in these (the store told me this is normal for Dansko, and I found this to be true for the Dansko sandals I tried on). The fit is perfect... no blisters. My ankles, knees and back do not hurt any more. Feet are a bit sore after running around like crazy for hours on end, but that's to be expected. This shoe is better than any quality cross-trainer or athletic walking shoe I've worn. A bonus: Dansko Professional is supposed to last much, much longer than a typical athletic shoe.

Amazing for nurses - I bought these for my nursing clinicals because all of my professors wear the regular black ones during classes. And boy was it a great decision. They are very comfortable and do not blister your feet. Not to mention your feet don't get tired and your back doesn't hurt like it does with regular flat shoes. I did get a size 10 which is the size that I usually wear and they feel just a smidgen narrow, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. I’m pretty sure they will stretch out. By the way, I wear them with stockings, so if you plan on wearing them with socks then maybe you should buy a size bigger. I will definitely consider buying them in black to wear outside the hospital.

Professional Dansko - These are great shoes. Wore them all day in a busy outpatient clinic. Shoes are a size smaller than stated will buy them again!

Dansko - Melissa - They are great except that they are very wide, I never had a problem with width before but these are quite wide, otherwise they are great I love them

Nursing Students Invest In These! I bought mine the first week of nursing school. Now I am working 3-12 hour shifts. They're still like new! My feet and legs don't hurt at the end of the day, they're tired, but they don't hurt. I usually wear a 38 in Euro sizes; I got a 39 in these. Invest in these. You'll be glad you did!

Dansko - This is my second pair of these shoes. I'm on my feet for 10 hours a day and these shoes give wonderful support to my feet, ankles, knees and hips. I tried running shoes for work, but they just didn't cut it. The Dansko's make all the difference. Can't wear thick socks with them though.

Nurse's story - I have worn the Dansko professional in all the other colors for years with slacks and jeans. They are my preferred shoe for comfort and style. I am a nurse and have worn every white tennis/running shoe made and my feet and legs always hurt by end of the shift. I don't know why it took me so long to figure out that I should be wearing Dansko at work as well! I put them on the first day, wore them all day without a problem. No more leg pain! And everyone asked me where I got those great looking shoes!

Foot comfort for the beauty industry - My daughter is attending esthetician school and spends hours on her feet. The Dansko Professional clogs are fantastic. Easy on the feet, very supportive to entire foot and look very stylish. As always, Zappos is the place for hard to find shoes and the latest styles.

Dansko White Professional- Perfect!! If your foot is more on the "wide" side, order the Medium width (not the Narrow)! I've worn Dansko's to work for over 10-15 years now and would highly recommend them for hospital concrete floors.

It took about a week to break them in, but after that I found them to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Before I started wearing these to work standing on my feet for 8 to 12 hr shifts, I had a lot of heal pain, since I started wearing these shoes it has completley gone. Order a full size larger than you normally wear for a great fit!

Comfort, not fashion - I personally think these shoes are hideous. However, they have been wonderful at work. I am on my feet all day in a hospital and I have had no back or foot pain since wearing them. There is a small issue with the lining buckling under my feet, which creates this ridge that is kind of annoying. Other than that, I'm very happy. I have to sacrifice fashion for comfort with this one.

Best Ever! I wear these shoes about 300 days a year. I am a teacher and on my feet all day long and these are the first shoes that eliminate any and all foot pain (and back pain as well!). I love them so much that I wear them even when I'm not working except in the summer months. Additionally, they are super-cute and make me look taller. It does take a week to break them in (you'll feel them on the top of your feet), but afterwards, welcome to shoe heaven. Several of my friends have tried them and 90% love them just as much as I do, with 10% absolutely hating them. Some people just don't like such a loose shoe. And yes, they are meant to move around on your foot a bit. Yep, they're expensive, but they are extremely durable and resistant to wear and tear. Mine could use some shoe polish, but the base of the shoe is in great shape even after two years of continual use. I highly recommend that you give these shoes a chance!

They fit! I wear a size 7 1/2 narrow, with a skinny heel that is almost impossible to fit into normal shoes. The Dansko's Narrow has been comfortable from the first day I wore them. They are still too wide - I have to wear 2 pairs of thin-medium weight socks or 1 pair of thick socks like a Thorlo. A small price to pay for having shoes that are comfortable and look cute.

Now and forever, this is the shoe! I absolutely LOVE these shoes -- they're spectacular. Very, very comfortable; I can wear them hours on end and my feet don't hurt one bit, and I have very bad feet from years of running on concrete. I would definitely recommend these shoes to anyone - anyone that wants ridiculously comfortable shoes, that is!

A mistake - I love this shoe. I have it in Brown, and discovered it at a shop in Florida. I was so thrilled to be able to order it online in black (as this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever had) However, try as I might, the new shoe is too tight for me even thou I ordered the same size. I cannot tell if my original shoe is wide or what the difference is. Please advise. I have only been able to keep it on my foot a few hours.

FAST FAST FAST! I ordered these shoes at 8:30PM on a Thursday and they were at my door by 4PM the next day! This is an incredible company! I will ALWAYS order my shoes from Zappo's!!!

Hmmm... I have owned a pair of Dansko's before and loved them! Think they were a sporty version of these. I have to say though, it has been just two months and I can't wear these anymore. I am standing an average 10-12hrs a day. Can't figure out why these hurt and the others don't.

RE: Dansko professional - This shoe is awesome for nurses who spend a lot of time on their feet. I have Plantar Fasciitis and when I wear these the pain disappears. I wear a 7 normally but needed the 38 which is an 8 in European size.

fabulous shoes - I love these clogs. I now have them in several colors and I am more excited about these shoes than any other shoes I have ever bought. They are tremendously comfortable and great looking. Highly recommended.

Dansko Professional - I first bought this shoe because my daughter loved it! Now I have several pair and I love all of them! I've never had a shoe with such great arch support EVER!!!! I'm on my feet for 16 hours a day and my feet NEVER hurt!!

These shoes are great - I wear these in narrow, and I live in them! They are so comfortable - both my feet and back feel great at the end of the day. They're so durable, too, they're worth the price - I have 3 pairs.

Dansko and Zappos are the best!! I love Dansko shoes. I'm on my third pair. They are long lasting, a great design and comfortable. Zappos is the VERY best shoe company. I wouldn't think of ordering shoes from anyone else!

Dansko Professional - Best shoe ever purchased. Former devote Etienne Aigner wearer (they no longer fit my aging feet). Foot, leg and back pain disappeared within 24 hrs. No more foot fatigue; unbelievable but true. I wear a 7.5 medium to wide; purchased the 8 medium. Break-in time minimal. Disliked the look when I opened the box; make no mistake, it is a clog. However, it's now the only shoe I wear to work in a law firm; the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Absolutely worth the investment.

First danskos recommended by podiatrist - Very comfortable shoes! My doctor wears them herself and recommended them to me for treatment of my plantars fasciitis. I want more!

Wonderful!! Take a while to break in, but once you do, these are the most comfortable shoes out there! Totally love them!!! Have two pairs!
