Wow! What a surprisingly great experience this order turned out to be. This wasn't my first Zappos order, but it was the first time I had to return something. I ordered my usual Birkenstock size; I have over a dozen pair, so I am familiar with the fit, but for some reason the shoes were a tiny bit too small. I downloaded the return order. The day I packed the shoes to return, I realized I was a couple days past the 10-day return limit stated on my return order, so I called Customer Service for a 2nd return order. The operator was friendly, helpful, and focused on helping me. While she was speaking with me, she emailed the 2nd return, reordered my shoes (which were sent free overnight service), and signed me up for VIP service so that I will always get free overnight shipping. This was late on Saturday morning; my replacement shoes were at my door by noon the following Monday. The whole telephone call to Customer Service took less than five minutes. I went directly to the PO after the call to return the shoes, but Zappos didn't know that I would do that. I had expected that I'd be charged for the second pair and reimbursed for my original order once the shoes were received at Zappos, but my original payment was the only financial activity. Comfortable and like the deep black color. But they started to squeek a couple weeks after wearing them, so not I can only wear them at home.

I have had these shoes for 6 years now. I ***ADORE*** them. Like most Birks, they have molded to my feet, and they are perfect.

I like them and they are very comfortable. The only problem is that they make a funny sound when I walk. Great arch support and my feet don't hurt after wearing them all day.

This was the second time I had ordered Birkenstocks, and after reading the other reviews I ordered one size smaller this time, and it fits perfectly. Since Zappos return shipping is free, I didn't have anything to lose, and now that I know the size that fits best, without a doubt, I will be ordering more, I love these shoes, they were comfortable from day one, no breaking in necessary.

I've been a fan of Birkenstock sandals for quite some time, and these clogs were not a disappointment! I like having something Birkenstock I can wear for the slightly cooler weather. I have feet that are on the narrower side, but not oddly slim, and the narrow width is perfect. The only slight annoyance is that the upper is very floppy thin suede, so that when you slip them on the corners near the top of the clog sometimes get folded under, and require correction. This has also happened a few times while walking around, the suede near the top flops around and gets folded under. No biggie, though, it's not uncomfortable and is easily corrected, and just caused by the super-softness and thinn-ness of the upper suede. Also the toes are a bit squarer than I thought, but not totally blocky.

You can not go wrong, Birkenstocks are the most amazing shoes. This is my third pair of the same shoe and I will never stop wearing them. European sizing you can not go wrong.

I originally ordered the wrong size, but returned and reordered the clog. I had the correct pair the next morning! Zappos shipping is amazing! And I love the shoe. I'm a bank teller and on my feet all day. The Birks mold to your foot for supreme comfort!

This is the second pair I have owned. Love this clog. Comfortable, almost like a slipper! Zappos is the best company to order from, I still am amazed how fast I receive the orders.

A great Fall and Winter solution to my open Birks. Can even be worn with socks on colder days.

Birkenstock's give excellent arch support, but there isn't much cushioning between the foot and the ground. They are excellent for around the house or office, but not so good for extended walking outside or on uneven surfaces.

Excellent durable shoe - great quality. This shoe is roomy and does give with time, so you should feel comfortable ordering a 1/2 size smaller.

I ordered three times before I got the right fit, so hopefully, my review will help you get it right the first time. For starters, this shoe says it’s "narrow", but it’s really wide. Normally, wear a D width and I have plenty of room in this "narrow" shoe. This narrow is the same width of my other Birkenstock Bostons that I had purchased locally. I tried the newer soft footbed. It fit, but I felt like it was so rounded that it really bothered me when walking on wooden flooring. It was fine on carpet, but I have to walk on hard surfaces as well. My preference is the older footbed. Combine that with the proper width and it’s one great walking shoe! The arch supports are great. The arch support in this shoe is great, so I can set my custom orthotics aside.

I am hooked on Birkenstocks! I tried my first pair last summer to relieve plantar fasciitis pain. They worked like a charm because of the great arch support. These shoes fit my x-wide feet very well. Birkenstocks are the most comfortable shoes! I like these black ones for the winter months.

A Great Buy! Birkenstock Bostons are a timeless style for all seasons. They provide great support and can be worn all day. They are my 'dog-walking' slip-ons in the morning then provide a casual, comfortable, stylish look throughout the day. Additionally, I only recently bought a replacement pair after wearing my last Bostons for over 6 years; this shoe is built to last! It has been my experience to buy 1 full size smaller than you usually wear and give them about a month of regular wear until the cork sole is properly formed to your foot. The Bostons are a great buy!

A must have! I just got my first pair of Birkenstocks clogs. Everything that has been said about these shoes is true. I did not experience any break-in time. I'm a size 6.5 (37), but 5-5.5 (36) feels perfect in these clogs, so they are running a little too big. My feet are regular width and any shoes with big arches tend to hurt me, but not these shoes. I am looking forward to getting another pair and trying their sandals next summer. By the way, they look great with blue jeans!
