Fabulous Birkenstock. Bought for son to replace 3-year-old Birks and he said they are great out of the box. Comfy, very little break in time. A classic with a timeless look. It is best to wear socks in these clogs to absorb moisture. The old Birks got very "gamey" because my son didn't want to look like a nerd. I wish there was a good way to sufficiently dry them out between uses. Of course, Zappos is the best. I have bought lots of shoes from them and their customer service is amazing.

Birkenstock Boston in Black Suede - All Birkenstock's are great, but the Boston suedes are my favorite. I have been wearing Birkenstocks for about 25 years - way before they were popular. I don't put much of anything else on my feet. I even found a pair of black patent leather Bostons for dress up. You can't go wrong - as far as comfort - if you buy these. They also last forever - I had a pair of taupe suede Boston's that lasted me 10 years. I have very flat narrow feet and the narrow fit sometimes may be too loose. I either tighten them up in the last hole or take them to the shoe shop so an additional hole can be put in.

Comfort and ease - These are the most comfortable and easiest shoes to wear. I wore them on a trip and it made it easy for me at the security check-- on and off in a jiffy! I have them in many styles and colors.

Satisfied, once again - Foot problems have forced me to go for comfort instead of style, however, these provide both. There is nothing more comfortable than Birkenstocks. Great for people with bunions, believe me! A "R" is actually nice and wide.

Birkenstock's Boston's are Great - I have wide flat feet and it is difficult to find comfortable shoes. I have been a fan of Birkenstock sandals for twenty years but this is the first time I tried the clogs and I am very pleased.

Love these shoes! I don't stay still, ever, and these shoes come right with me. Birks were recommended to solve leg cramps, and they are so comfortable. Give it a couple days, because it does exercise your feet, and they might be a little sore, but then you will be able to wear them everyday, no problem.

Zappos saves the day! These Birkenstocks are comfortable and warm, light and durable. Zappos says the shoes would send the next day, and, though it was just before Christmas, we got them the next business day! I was truly impressed.

Birkenstock Bostons - I ordered these shoes for my daughter for Christmas. She was so excited to finally get a pair of Birkenstock's. The sizing was perfect and she said they are very comfortable. I will be purchasing shoes from Zappos in the future. Their service is awesome. Thanks!

Attention People Who Must Wear Custom Orhotics; PLEASE READ! I am one of those unfortunate souls who had no choice but to get custom-made orthotics for my feet; my left foot pronates, and my right foot supinates, which is very odd, not to mention my feet are very narrow, very thin, and my ankles resemble that of a bird's (think sparrow...)....to make a very long story short (just ask anyone in the Returns Dept. @ Zappos that I ordered several dozen pairs of shoes in the span of 1 month, and the most comfortable pair I found were the Birkenstock Boston's, BUT: my orthotics kept slipping out of them; I thought the heel cup would be deep enough, but it wasn't, so my orthotics would creep slowly back until they were hanging off the edge by a good inch or so; I was devastated b/c I finally found a pair of shoes that fit like a dream, and I couldn't wear them (unless I got a custom-made Boston modeled after my orthotics, which maybe I will, in the future, depending upon how expensive it is, etc.) BUT, and here's the GOOD BUT, which I never thought there could be, I discovered the Tatami Oklahoma's (Tatami is a 'division' of Birkenstock, I believe) and they are an absolute DREAM COME TRUE!! The footbed is removable, should your orthotics be very thick and/or bulky where you have to wear them by themselves in the shoe (meaning with no footbed in the shoe, just placing the orthotics directly on the 'shell' of the shoe) OR, you could place your orthotic on the footbed and it WILL REST INSIDE AND NOT SLIDE OUT THE BACK OF THE SHOE!!! The 'lip' on the back of the shoe is high enough to allow the orthotic to remain in the shoe and not slip back (and out); I cannot say how much I love the Tatami Oklahoma's and I tried to do a review directly for them, but they are out of Tatami products right now, so I can't leave feedback for them. So, if you love Boston's (or ANY Birkenstocks for that matter) but must wear custom orthotics, the Tatami Oklahoma may be the answer to your footwear-prayers; I hope to God they never stop making them b/c they are truly a Godsend, and I personally feel that they are as 'good' as 'regular' Birkenstocks; I honestly cannot tell the difference; both footbeds are fantastic, and in my opinion, they are well worth the extra money. I also wanted to thank Zappo's again for being so patient w/ me and making my 'Shoe Chronicles', as I call them, as painless as possible! Perfect! These shoes were exactly as I expected and of course the service from Zappos was superb. I couldn't have asked for an easier transaction or a better shoe!

Help for aging feet - I have arthritis in my feet and have trouble with a heel spur. Birks are the answer to my troubles--I can walk in them and my feet don't hurt as much. I like my new Boston clogs because they help keep my feet warm. Casual or dressy (well, as dressy as Birks can get!) they look fine. I order the next smaller size than my regular shoe size in Birks.

Been wearing these for many years. I wear a 38N although I wear an 8 1/2 shoe. This is due to the way they fit my feet. The only time I went larger was for the London which is completely enclosed. This shoe along with the Arizona sandal also with the original footbed are my standbys for winter and summer. A narrow equates with a B. Also, prefer suede as it is softer.

Great for anatomical reasons! These Birks are amazing if you have any orthopedic health condition having to do with your stance. I was in a car wreck and fractured my hip. As soon as I put these on I could feel the pressure melt away! I can't wait until they are broken in so I can enjoy them to the max. The only thing is they are 2 sizes larger than marked. I'm normally a 10 - 10.5 shoe size which is listed as 43 with Birkenstocks. However, I wear a 41 in Birks, which they list as 8 - 8.5. If you're a guy then I would go for regular instead of narrow unless you have really narrow feet. When I look at my feet I see narrow, but when I tried narrow Birks they were too constricting. Thanks Zappos for your awesome service; I had them in 24 hours.

A Summer Relaxer - These are a wonderful pair of slip-on shoes for those relaxed summer days.

Boston - This was gift for my granddaughter. Her first Birkenstocks. Although I sell them, the size was not available there and it came faster from you. She loves it and has worn it daily. It fits well, she has a wide foot and a little pronation, too, so it works well for her. Birkenstocks are great if you have a correct fit and size. Availability is important and no one does it better then Zappos.

Great shoes - These are the best shoes I have ever owned. I have/had 4 pairs of the real ones. My feet have grown so got different sizes. Started with taupe and brown but then bought a black pair. Now I have a new brown pair. I would recommend sizing down at least a half size, maybe even a whole size. They run big. I also have bought a few pairs of the fake ones...they're good but nothing compares to the real ones! Great shoe, and guys and girls wear them in my school all the time in the fall/spring/winter.

Taupe Birkenstocks - My first pair and already I want the pink :-) It’s a very comfortable shoe and really cute with a tank top and jeans. I bought the taupe pair which is a really soft, neutral and slightly grayed out tan. Works with everything! I sized down a full size. I am a true 7 and I bought a woman’s 6 narrow. They fit perfectly. Very comfy shoe, a little rough on the soles at first but then....bliss. Will definitely buy other colors. Also, I don't think they look like duck feet. Under jeans they just look like a cute suede clog :-)

Birkenstocks - I heard many rants and raves about Birkenstocks for years, so about a year ago I broke down and bought a pair. Well it turns out that I am glad I did. Everything you hear about these shoes is 100% true. I wore these through out the fall, winter, and spring and now it is summer and I still slip them on. If you want comfortable shoes that will last a long time then order these. You can wear them almost with anything you have in your wardrobe. Definitely shop around on price then call Zappos, they will meet and beat the lowest price you find.

The best shoe - EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!!! These have been the best shoes I've probably ever owned! It's very rare that you find a hip, stylish, cute shoe that is actually COMFORTABLE!!!!!!!! There is nothing bad about it (except your feet smell bad when you take them off). I highly recommend this shoe!!

Great Buys - I absolutely love these shoes. They are great for a person who is on their feet all day. It has great arch support. I bought the Taupe Suede, and it goes with everything. I hope to have these for a long time.

Love these shoes! I'm a teacher and needed a really supportive shoe that could withstand 8+ hours on my feet. I tried all kinds of shoes until I finally found these. They're not the most beautiful shoes in the world, but I will never wear anything else! Even my tennis shoes are not as comfortable as these. One note: go to a store that sells Birkenstocks first. Try on a few pairs to see what your size is. My Birkenstock size was a full size smaller than what I normally wear. Also, narrow is like a regular U.S. shoe. Zappos is fantastic as well!

Boston Clogs - Shoe Maven review #1 - Let me preface my statements by saying my entire life has been plagued with shoe woes. I have a size 10.5 x-wide with a high arch. Then in '02 I developed Plantar Fasciitis (Ripping of the tendons that run under the foot) so now I had to find shoes that had either arch support built in or the ability to put in a custom orthodic. So after years of resisting, I bought a few pairs of Birkis, a sister shoe of the Birkenstock Line. The size that I chose was 42R. The width was excellent. And the length was great. I had room up front, and my toes gripped the toe bar. I then purchased a pair of Gizeh Birkenstock thongs. Again 42R - great sizing, width, and unparallel comfort. Cold weather coming on, I live in NYC so I purchased a pair of the Boston Clogs in Olive green suede. I was shocked at how beautiful the color was, better than pictured, BUT the size was off. I don’t know if the Clog runs big, but Id wager it was an entire size too big. If you have worn Birks before, you know your heel falls straight into the cup squarely. If it doesn’t your arch will bump into the arch support and hurt badly. I wore them indoors for almost 2 weeks with thick socks, and still I could not keep them. I checked the sizing on the Birks and the 42R is equivalent to an 11 - 11.5. Id size down if you are in between sizes. And if by some chance they don’t fit, Zappos exceptionally CS and free shipping both ways will take the sting out of having to send a pair back. SM

So Happy - Some of my friends still insist on giving me grief for wearing these shoes (weeds and seeds, dorky,etc.) but I'm here to tell you that these shoes rock. They are THE most comfortable shoes in my closet. I have 5 pairs altogether. I never thought I'd own a pair of Birks because I too was one of those who laughed at anyone who wore them. Now I'm a convert. Who knew?

My son wears a size 11 so I ordered a 44 (11-11.5) in this shoe and it was a PERFECT FIT! This BB is not only an attractive shoe but my son swears it is so comfortable (molds to your feet) that when he takes them off to put on his walking shoes THEY actually hurt his feet! Zappos + Birkenstock's Boston = A FIRST CLASS PACKAGE DEAL! ENJOY!
