My husband has been wearing this style of Birkenstock shoe since well before we met 7.5 years ago. In that time he's gone through 1.5-2 pairs (one that he had before we met and one that I bought him a few years back; I just purchased his latest pair this month). It takes about 2 weeks to break them in, he says, but they last a good 3 years, even when wearing them all day every day. Definitely worth the price! The style leaves a little to be desired (clunky, not particularly fashionable) but he loves them and doesn't care that people make fun of his "clogs," so they work for him.

An amazing shoe. It probably does run a little wider than indicated, because I have rather wide feet and it fit fine at a 'regular' width. The length was perfect. I'm not crazy about the color, but in my size (48), there aren't many color selections available. That being said, it is a ridiculously comfortable shoe. Aside from my 'wicked good' slippers from LL Bean, which I cannot wear at work (because they're slippers), they're the most comfortable shoe I own, and I own a lot of shoes. Love them. I'll definitely be buying more when these wear out.

I have been a devoted Birkenstock wearer since the early 90's when they were in fashion at that time and have worn the sandals whether or not they are "fashionable" ever since. They are durable and last for years. I love the comfort and support they provide. I have very wide feet and have a job that requires standing all day, and these have proven ideal for keeping my plantar fasciitis at bay. This is my first pair of the closed-toe style in over a decade. I can't really give them a 5-star rating for style, but Birkenstocks are kind of their own thing and thus get a pass on style. Plus, in my book, comfort always wins!

Brought my first pair of sandals this summer they were so comfortable. So I decided to purchase the Boston for the winter they feel as comfortable right out of the box

Birks are the best! Oddly I take a regular width in the Arizona's but a narrow in these, which took a few tries to figure out, but as always zappos has the best customer service around.

Ever since I broke my ankle and had it repaired (3 plates & 13 screws) my foot doesn't always feel stable when I stand on it. I ordered these clogs in hopes that the modeled arch support would help stabilize it. And they fit perfectly! Thanks to Zappos also for their speedy, reliable delivery service! Kudos!

My husband and I both got these shoes and we both love them. The Birkenstock footbed is great, and the suede is much softer on the tops of the toes than leather. And the dark color is very rich and nice looking.

Best shoes ever! I am young and only 21 and yet have feet problems. If my shoes don't have support, my heels hurt. These clogs have been a life saver. Often I have come home from school with aching feet and when I slip these on its instant relief! I got these for the house on hardwood floors and it gives the support my feet need. No longer do my feet hurt when I'm home. Highly recommend!

I have lots of foot issues and have tried every shoe out there. I Also have custom orthotics that I had made for my feet. I decided to try these because I heard they have a unique foot bed. I got a pair of clogs with the idea to wear them inside only as a sort of slipper. Cant say enough great things about these shoes. I have less foot pain, actually almost none, when I wear them. I have resorted to wearing them to work just to confirm this. I have worn them all day at work for one week. Foot pain reduced by 80 percent. I have had these for three weeks and have come to the conclusion that the Birkenstock footbed is something of a miracle. I am now in the process of looking for a pair of actual shoes that I can wear to work that will be more appropriate. I also have very large, size 14 4E, and it is very hard to find shoes that are big and wide enough. These also fit really great in the normal width. All in all, very happy with this shoe brand. Also, Zappos is awesome as well. I have ordered quite a few things from Zappos over the years and the customer service is second to none. And wow shipping, always here the next day which is amazing. Love this classic shoes for comfort around the house or walking the dog. I took a 39 when I am usually a 8 1/2-9. They are a little big but I thought the 38 would be too small if I wear thick socks.

Ordered 10 for husband (his normal size) and they were too big. Fits in size 9. He's very happy with them. FYI: All Birkenstocks run wide! The narrow width heel cup is to narrow though. Had to make tighter buckle slots.

I bought these for my husband and he rated it all around five stars. They are supportive and comfortable in every way according to him. He has encouraged me to get some too.

I've had some Birk sanders for a while now and love them so much that I wanted a cool weather option. These fit the bill and are just as comfortable as my old sandals. Love them!

These are great! I originally bought the soft footbed and I did not love those. I have a high arch and really need the classic support. The soft footbed did not provide the same support. These are a much better fit. They are equally comfortable with socks or bare feet and are true to size. I normally wear a 39 in all Birkenstocks, and the 39 fit great with these. I did not need a narrow fit either.

I had plantar fasciitis for the past year so I have been careful about what shoes I buy and how they affect my feet. I turned to Birkenstocks about six months ago and got tremendous relief from wearing them. I bought two pair of sandals and wore them exclusively all summer. Now that fall is here, I needed closed toe shoes that would take their place. The footbed has a great arch support as I have a high arch. These shoes are always well made, attractive with the suede for fall. Really - you cannot go wrong with Birkies. I highly recommend them.

Liked strength of suede while being softer and more flexible than leather. Great quality. Style is not particularly appealing, but not unappealing. Like many Birkenstocks, they are selected for comfort rather than appearance. Still searching for a pair of Birkenstocks that fit my feet. These seemed a bit wide without socks. My second toe is a long one, and touched the end when rest of my foot sat over arches properly, and then heel wasn't all the way back in the heel pocket. Think my feet just don't match the Birkenstock for bed. If they had fit, I would have kept them with delight. Sadly, returned do to sizing/fit issues.

I have several pairs of Birkenstock sandals, but these are my first clogs. The footbed is just as comfortable, and the suede upper is super soft and already feel broken in. I will use a suede protecting spray. I bought these to wear on cool, dry days. I've just been wearing them around the house so far (only got them a few days ago) but they keep my feet really warm even without socks. Fit is still good with thick wool socks. They look surprisingly cute with ankle-length skinny jeans but also with longer, wider leg pants like boyfriend jeans. I was so sick of wearing flats with no support just to have my feet killing me at the end of the day. These will replace flats in my wardrobe. I am a 6.5/7 in US sizes. I order a 36 in Birkenstocks and it works for me.

My wife has been wearing the Boston since we met 22 years ago...same shoe, same size. They never change and she loves them. Almost considered the new cushioned sole, but stayed with the classic. Great shoe, long lasting.

I am solidly a women's size 7 (literally every pair of shoes I own is size 7), so I ordered the 38s. They were way too big, which I unfortunately didn't realize until after I had treated them with waterproofing. I ordered the 37s and they fit like a dream. So comfortable! I wear them all the time, especially as house shoes. I wound up giving the 38s to my mom as an early Christmas gift. Highly recommend this shoe, but definitely beware on the sizing -- if you are on the fence at all, order a size smaller than you normally would.
