I am a female with a size 12AA shoe size. I also have lost my arches. I need a supportive shoe and one that fits me good. I absolutely love these shoes. They are so comfortable and one of the very few shoes that do not hurt my feet. I wear them around the house as slippers as well as wearing them out. They last for many years and can take a beating as I have always been real hard on shoes. I would recommend these to everyone. So go ahead and make the purchase!

I've worn the Basic Birkenstock and Mephisto sandals for ten years now. No problems with them. Comfort is great for a hard to fit foot. Leather is better than vinyl.

Bought these for my husband who wears his soft sole Arizonas everywhere he can. He wanted a cheaper slip-on sandal to wear in the yard when he's gardening, something that happens a lot. I saw my chance to save his older Arizonas from total destruction and ordered these from Zappos. I was happy to see they offered narrow sizes which I needed. My husband now wears his Birko-Flors as a sturdy work shoe and loves them even though they are not soft-sole or suede like his older Arizonas. He would never have gone to the store to buy these so Zappos saved the day! If you already know how Birks fit and feel, then Zappos is the only place to get them tax- and shipping-free.

Birkenstocks are made for people like me...very little arch support! I have worn Birkenstocks for 20 years, others have come close but my feet feel beautiful in these puppies!

I ordered these for my husband, who has been wearing this style of Birkenstocks for years. He has flat feet and needs plenty of arch support. These are very comfortable and he can do lots of walking in them without any issues.

I was replacing my Oakley Supercoil Slide 3 slip on. Tried the Supercoil 4 and did not care for it, as the strap is not as wide, and does not support the rear of the sandal as much ( get that flip - smack against the heal when walking ). After trying the version 4 ( and a few other trys ) I rear the reviews on the arch support of these, and gave it a try. Great sandal for not only holding to the foot, but the bed is great. I always read about how people love their Birkenstock sandals, now I know why. If you are looking for a slip on sandal, that holds to your foot when waling with great arch support, this is worth a close look. They are not the most fashion forward sandal, but form follows function in my book.

This is the fourth pair of Birkenstocks I have purchased. Zappos provided the same fine product at a substantial savings.

Happy feet, with a shoe style that does not need to be reinvented. These shoes fit as well as the many-years-old pair they replace.

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit, and are comfortable. Bening diabetic adds yet another challenge to shoe buying. These work great on all counts..

I love these sandals. This is my third pair. I wear them until they are totally worn through the sole (my last pair was so worn that my heel had totally worn through the bottom). Each pair lasts me for years!

Been too many years since I've had Birks. They're wonderful as always. Zappos was easy to order from. Fast delivery. No complaints.

LOVE my Keens! Last year I bought the Payless knockoff version of these shoes, and the sole cracked within a few months. This time I decided to buy the real thing ;-). And wow--the Keen footbed is FANTASTIC! I usually wear a women's 6 or 7, but a friend told me I could get the same fit--at a much lower price--by buying a kids\' 5. That's what I did, and it's working out beautifully. The shoes are very comfortable; I can wear them year-round with my thick hand-knitted wool socks, and I never have a moment of discomfort. The finish on the leather upper is rather unusual - it's got fine, even vertical lines along the length; really more of a texture thing than anything else, and certainly not distracting. I imagine this is part of the water-resistant treatment. Another interesting note is that the "tongue" of the shoe connects fully to the side pieces via a mesh connector. This can create a rather tight fit, as other reviewers have noticed. I just loosen and scoot and adjust the bungee, though, and it sorts itself out eventually. These shoes do definitely respond well to a solid breaking-in period, but once you get there you'll never want to put anything else on your feet!

It took a few days to break them in, but after that I found them to be very comfortable!

My favs - I have been wearing Birkenstocks for a long time, ever since I began having some foot problems. I love them. I thought I'd try the Birko-Flor to see if I'd like the manmade straps as well as the leather and I do. They are every bit as comfy and good-looking. I love the width a Birkenstock gives me in the toe box area. I was prescribed with orthodics, but still go back to the Birkenstocks for the most comfort. Some people think Birks feel too wide, but the lady who sold me my first pair told me that your foot is to fit down into the footbed and the straps should be fairly loose for comfort. The sandals don't fall off because the foot has the toe bar and the deep footbed to keep them in. You will need a little break in time to get used to the footbed and allow it to mold to your feet.

I love this shoe! This is my first Birkenstock. I heard about them, but thought they were "dorky." Well I just turned 40 and I've gained weight and my feet don't like it. I have plantar fasciitis. Very painful and uncomfortable heel and arch pain. I ordered these on Tuesday and had them on Thursday! FAST delivery. I also ordered a black pair of closed toe for work along with some cute Dansko shoes. I'm a convert. These shoes are sooooooo awesome. They cradle my poor, sore arch and I'm wearing them around the house to break them in. The doctor said not to walk barefoot on hardwood, so these are my solution. I love, love, love them. I wonder if they will stretch and if so, next time I'll get a smaller size.

Have worn these Birkenstocks for untold many years even had one pair resoled though the company. They are the best I have ever put on my feet. THAT’S BIRKENSTOCK!!!!!
