Great Shoes!!! Zappos has super customer service!!! Wonderful Shoes!!! I ordered the Navy/Strawberry. I appreciate the reviews which helped in deciding to order 1/2 size larger. This was correct and allowed for a comfortable fit. Zappos customer service is OUTSTANDING!!! These shoes arrived on the next day.

I love you, Zappos. I ordered Keen's Portola and Montreal at the same time, intending to decide between them and return one, and I couldn't choose, so I kept them both. The Portola is such a cute, comfy shoe. Looks great with jeans or skirts. Comfortable from the instant I put them on. I haven't stopped wearing them since I bought them, all my Danskos have been shoved to the back of the closet. I will certainly be buying more Keens from Zappos.

It’s like these shoes were made for me! This is my first time writing an online review- but I can't stop raving about these shoes! I bought the olive ones, and haven't stopped wearing them for the last 2 weeks. The color is great-- goes perfectly with jeans/cords/whatever. They are so comfortable I can't believe it. They might even be more comfortable than my Keen Monterey sandals, and even more comfy than my Birk clogs. I love the big, boxy toe (I like big clunky shoes) and I love how light they are. They function wonderfully in the rain, and even in slushy snow. I'm just thrilled with these shoes- I might need them in another color!

Cute and Fun - I wanted a cute, fun shoe to wear around town and on travel, these are perfect. The toe box is wide and the shoes comfortable. I wear a size 7 and these make my feet look smaller. I purchased the mint/orange and I'm considering getting the garnet/tan ones.

Great right out of the box! This is my 3rd pair of Keen's, but my first non-sandal variety. I ordered a half size larger than normal based on the reviews here at Zappos, and they were correct - these shoes fit perfectly right out of the box. I have not had to go larger with any of my other Keens. I work in a preschool and these were perfect for being on my feet all, even the first day after I got them. No discomfort whatsoever.

Navy/Strawberry Keen Portola's - A friend of mine introduced me to the Keen brand. Once I bought my first pair...I was hooked. I love the look and the feel. I have four pair now and will continue to buy more of this shoe brand. I wear a size 7.5 and I ordered these shoes in that size. They fit to a "T"! I didn't have to go a half/whole size up or down.

Sizing woes - I really love the look of the Portola but I'm afraid I will have to live without them. I had my foot measured and was surprised when they told me I'm a 9.5 wide. I've always, always worn 10 medium. Of course, I've never been extremely happy with any of my shoes until I purchased the Keen brand. BUT, the Portola seems to run shorter than any of the 5 other styles of Keen that I own. I couldn't even make the size 10 work for me, and Zappos doesn't seem to carry any thing larger than a 10 in this style.

Sporty and hip with attitude - Love the look of these Keen Portola shoes, but I'll be returning mine for a full size larger than my normal 9.5 wide. They fit a little shorter than my other 3 styles of Keen. I tried a 10, but it's just not long enough. I'm going to try 10.5 and see how it goes because I just love the look of these adorable, funky shoes.

Birkenstocks convert - I wore Birkenstocks for years because of the arch support, but they just weren't cutting it at my new job where I am on my feet for 8 hours straight. I bought a pair of Keen Portola, and they are MUCH more comfortable, with good arch support and cushioning. My feet don't ache after a day at work! I love these shoes!!

Great shoes! These shoes are great and the shipping was super fast. I ordered a half size up and the fit is just right. I experienced some rubbing at the heels - minor actually but just enough to make me uncomfortable but corrected this with a pair of gel heel inserts from Dr. Scholl’s. I've also received several compliments. I wear them mostly to work but have taken them into the mountains as well. I've already got my next pair of Keens selected!

Keen Portola - This shoe felt comfortable right out of the box. I have arthritis in my feet and have a difficult time finding shoes that I can wear all day. These worked for me! I wear an 8 1/2 usually but ordered a 9. The fit is just right.

Urban hikers dream - I live in Seattle and go a liberal University so never mind that these shoes aren't totally in style. The soles are great in the drizzly rain, especially on slick mossy brick sidewalks. Haven't slipped like those year round flip flop wearers. I got these to replace my converse all stars with a big hole in them, and let me tell you it's so great to have shoes with support again! They did have a 2-3 day break in period, but now I wear them 12+ hours a day and never have sore feet!

Comfy but clunky - You can't tell from the pic but these shoes look very wide, sort of clown-shoe-ish, from the top. This doesn't bother me that much because I sort of like a clunky shoe, but they're not what's the fashion these days. Other than that, sturdy and comfy. Great for tromping around the city all day. Feel well-made, built to last, etc.

Great shoe - I love these shoes but they cut into the back of my heels.

Keens rock! After extensive backpacking over the last 10 years my feet GREW at least one size! I also have problems with my arches and naturally have wide feet. Keens were made for people like me who didn't want to sacrifice style for comfort, (this is my 4th pair!) VERY cute and hip, but most importantly COMFORTABLE. As other folks have said, the piping on the back of the heel did give me blisters, but that's only because I wore them without socks. Most people probably won’t have that problem.

Peachy keen - These shoes are so comfy. I wore them out of the box to hike in the Rocky Mountains. They come with very supportive and comfy inserts. I love em.

BLISS - I wore these shoes all day at work the first day I got them - on my feet on cement flooring - and I didn't want to take them off when I got home, they are so comfortable. Better than barefoot. I LOVE them. Get a half size up.

Super cute and super comfortable! The first moment I saw the Garnet/Tan Portolas, I knew I had to have them. I'm already a fan of Keen as they have excellent arch support, plenty of toe room, and are nice and light -- and now they come in super cute colors as well! I love my Portolas, they are such a beautiful color and a cool retro bowling-shoe-old-school-sneaker style. Unlike some other Keen styles, these run pretty true to size -- I'm usually a 7 and the size 7 Portolas fit perfectly.

Love at first fitting... These are positively the most comfortable shoes I own. They rubbed the backs of my heels at first, but I just snipped off the bit of piping that was rubbing and now it's like walking on air. No rubbing anywhere! And they're so cute. :D

These shoes felt SOO GOOD on my feet!! I think my whole body sighed with relief - until I looked down. Yikes!! All I needed was a bright yellow suit, and I would be Ronald McDonald!! Anyway - on the right person, these shoes would be a dream. (Just watch for the bubble-feet - I mean, EEK!).

Long hours on feet? I wear these Portolas to work. I'm on my feet, in a warehouse for 10 to 12 hours shifts. The Keens keep my feet from hurting. The wideness of the shoe is great because it can accommodate a thick cushiony sock...as well as make room for your foot as it expands from long shifts on your feet. Most people haven't discovered Keen and so when I wear mine....I get compliments. People!...get rid of your hideous white chunky sneakers. That look is tired...its run it's course. Keens are what's hip now.

Compliments - Loving my Keens. After reading the reviews I did order a half size bigger and they are great. It took me a day to get use to them as I have narrow feet, but I love them now. I get many compliments on them every time I wear them

Comfort! Just received my Keen Portola’s. Out of the box they were some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on. I wore them around for a couple of hours and didn't want to take them off. My hammer toes are even comfortable! Can't wait for my Newport 2s to arrive now! Yes, you need a half size larger.

Great shoes but not all there. I love Keen shoes. I have wide feet, and these shoes fit all the same. I think all shoes should be sized like this. However, I think that the person who put the canvas piping on the back of the shoe was out to lunch. I have huge blisters on my heels and don't know if I will ever be able to wear the shoes without adhesive bandages or socks. They are otherwise these are the most comfortable supportive shoes I own besides my Keen sandals.

Wow! Another great Keen shoe - My 5th pair of Keens. These shoes are fun and funky. No breaking in involved here... feel great right out of the box. Very good for wide feet. Order up a half size. These shoes seem to fit like my Bronx Keens. Thanks Zappos for incredible service.
