Finally a shoe I can walk in! I've been searching for a pair of sturdy shoes for walking this summer and had difficulty finding a pair that didn't put my toes to sleep. Apparently I have a wide ball of my foot but normal size heel. (Maybe that's normal, I don't know). I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a whole size larger than I normally buy in other brand shoes. I have another pair of Keens that are a half size smaller than these but I'm glad I went with the 9.5's. They fit perfectly in the toe/front of foot area and are a little loose in the heel, but I wear socks for walking so it hasn't been a problem. The shoes are lighter than I expected which I am very happy about. It's a sort of canvassy material. They are very cute as well. I went with the Navy/Strawberry and am very happy with them. Yay!

Foot Saver - I just returned 2 pairs of shoes I couldn't walk across the room in either pair. I then bought 2 pairs of Keens which I received yesterday. I was afraid to open the box for 24 hours. Just opened the box - I liked the look, put them on and they are wonderful good solid shoes. They are comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Zappos for your return policy. I'm 73, retired, have a fixed income, and sore feet most of the time. These shoes feel great as do the Keen Zermatt Clog as part of the same shipment. I will always look at Keen shoes before any other brand in the future. I bought the Garnet color in both styles - love the color. There is plenty of room for my toes - I don't anticipate any problems while breaking them in - they feel good. What a blessing to find Keen shoes. You get what you are willing to pay.

Finally! A comfy, tromp-around-town sneaker for adults. This shoe has terrific arch support, in keeping with Keen's usual super-comfy foot beds. It's a cute and stylish shoe without screaming "Look at me!" like so many other casual shoes seem to do. I bought the navy color, and they go with everything-- love 'em for all-day comfort on the weekends. And they're sturdy enough to go from a walk in the mall to a walk in the woods. Great shoe! I bought a half-size up and they were perfect.

Great shoe. I am getting compliments already (navy/strawberry). I only buy Keens and sometimes need to get a larger size but this style is true to size. Arch support is only moderate. I first ordered Zoe but this shoe looked cuter on (shorter). A pull tab on the back of the heel would be helpful. Zappos is the best company I have dealt with. Easy checkout, quick delivery, and wonderful return policy.

Grooviest Shoe I've ever owned! A truly cute and comfortable shoe- walked 3 miles on the first day! Definitely order up a half size. I have a sz 9 H2, but needed a 9-1/2 in the Portola. All told, it's a GREAT pair of shoes!

Outrageous raves!!! As a senior citizen I am looking for a very hip shoe that gives me a great look and comfort. This shoe delivers both. I chose this shoe in green and orange and it has attracted raves from all who have seen it. Every age loves this shoe, but especially people who appreciate something a bit different with great comfort. You need to wear them for several hours on carpet to break them in. A bit stiff out of the box.

My favorite shoe - I love this shoe. It is so fun, so cute and it goes with everything. Funky as well. I would buy one in every color if I could. I recommend them highly if you want a fun show that can fit almost every style. The size and everything fit very true to size.

Cute shoe! I purchased the red Keen Portola's and I love them! They are so cute and so comfortable. I've received several compliments on them and I'm thinking about buying another pair in another color. Highly recommended!

Nice! These are really cute shoes! I got them in red. I wear a size 10, and they make my feet look really small, so that is a nice plus! Also, I have really flat feet and the insoles of these come out, so I can put SuperFeet in them, so they can be comfy! They are a really nice looking shoe!

Great Shoe - I love this shoe and get lots of compliments on it. They are so comfortable and wide. The only thing was it took about a week to loosen up this tight spot in the leather under the laces by my toes. They are great walking shoes.

Keen Portola - This is my 3rd pair of Keens, and I'm very happy with them. I ordered a half-size larger than I normally wear, which was perfect with my other Keens, but these seem to run a little bigger, so they are a little larger than I expected. They are still comfortable, though. I've wear them to work, where I stand a lot, as well as on a trip where I was standing and walking all day and also out hiking in the woods, and they're great. My only complaint is that unlike other shoes I wear, they make my feet a little sweaty, I guess because of the lining, but I would still definitely recommend them. I'm thinking of getting them in another color, too.

Cute stylish and very comfortable shoe - Love this shoe. I own five pairs of keens now all various styles and they are super comfortable. This particular shoe I just took on a trip which entailed a lot of walking and these shoes held up nicely. I was able to walk all day without having my feet and legs feel fatigued. If you want a stylish cute shoe with comfort this shoe is definitely for you. I love the suede twill look.

Amazing shoe - These were great right out of the box. Very comfortable as well as cute. My only complaint might be that the shoe laces are dyed the color of the shoe, blue in my case, in the spots were they have been already laced.

Super cute shoe! I love this shoe! I saw these in the Bay Area but couldn't find my size anywhere. So when I got back from vacation I looked and of course Zappos had the right color and size! They are very comfortable, I gave four stars because I have a long second toe and the toe box hit it uncomfortably. I ordered 1/2 size up and they are slightly too big, but still are really comfy to wear. They red is a great color, not too loud. This is my first pair of Keens, and I am not disappointed!

OMIGOD!!! I love this shoe!!!!! First of all, it is a great fit for my wide feet. No tightness, no pinching. When I first tried it on, it fit like a glove. Second, great arch support. My feet were happy and I have a high arch. Third - this shoe is lightweight that it makes my knees very happy. Fourth, it is so easy to walk in that I can feel my feet just roll off the sidewalk. Five - This shoe looks cool and funky. Just be aware that it does take a few hours to break this shoe in. It felt stiff at first because it is new, but once you walk around the house or in the office they will break in and feel so comfy.

Cute & comfy! First off, the sizing. This is my 5th pair of Keens. All my others are 9.5, but in the Portola, the 9 fit better. My advice would be to order 2 pairs and keep the best fit (Zappos makes this free). Now, the styling: LOVE IT! Could be my favorite pair of Keens yet. This seems like the new version of the Bronx, which I never found that comfy (too stiff and tight). The Portola is more supple and cushy and has great support. I could see wearing this in place of a sneaker (once it was broken in a bit more). I got the red, very snazzy! Not sure how durable the suede-type leather is...I already got a spot of smoothy on it and I'm not sure how to clean. We'll see...

Great - These shoes are very comfortable, great looking on and make your feet look smaller. At first my husband teased me and said they looked like shoes he had when he was a kid but now he wants a pair! I will be buying another pair in another color. If you have a high instep this is your answer. If you have the beginning of arthritis in your toes these are the shoes for you lots of room.

The shoe of the Mayan Gods - Oh Keen, I love thee, let me count the ways...Never in my life have I ever worn a pair of shoes that actually "fit." My flat as a pancake foot is a 9 in length and a 10 in width; when damp and bare, it leaves a solid 5 toed duck footprint on the cement. With no arch to speak of and a penchant for fashion I have suffered aches and pains in my feet resulting in leather cuts and blisters to the point of scarring. Then came my knight in sueded footwear - Keen Portola. Divine in dimensions, these shoes FIT! While their appearance is out of the ordinary - the sweet rounded curves remind me of the clouds in ancient Mayan religious art - they suit the curves of my entire physique. I step into Keen where I belong, finally casually comfortable and feeling better than when I'm merely in my own skin.

Worth the wait - I waited about two months for the Navy pair to be in stock - they arrived and I think they're fantastic! The color is great, very roomy toe and lots of compliments on them so far!

Fantastic - These Keen's are just as comfortable as the other 5 pairs I own. You can't go wrong with Keen - they are superior shoes!

Great, cute shoes - Nice wide roomy toebox, good arch support. I ordered a half-size up, although I might have stuck with my normal size (US 8.5, EU 39). They are more comfortable in a 9. I wore them an a several mile walk the first day I had them and had no trouble. The red is by far the cutest! it's not distractingly bright, but it's bright enough to be fun.

Keen Portola- Took about 3 days to break in. A little stiff to begin with. Now they fit very well and are very comfortable. As always I have to order 1/2 size larger. I own 3 other Keen shoes and hardly wear any other brand of shoe. I like ordering from Zappos and find their customer service is great. Will continue to order from Zappos.

Not Just For Trails- Purchased this shoe with all kinds of walking in mind- and it's met my expectations. Great travel shoe, it's nicer looking than tennis shoes yet it works at the gym too.

Love this shoe! I already own and love a pair of Keens- the Boston. This shoe is just as fabulous. Keen makes the most comfortable shoes.

Instantly comfy shoes- I got these shoes in red. They are very lightweight and comfortable. Although the sole initially had a strong rubber smell, the fit and comfort are really nice.
