I have owned a pair of Keen Venice sandals in a sage green color for about 6 years. Loved them! The only thing I would have wanted was a little more arch support. They are heavy for a waterproof shoe, but I don't think they are meant to be a true water shoe, so don't expect one. The are a nice, rugged sport sandal that happens to be waterproof and washable. Sand and gravel do get caught inside so you'll have to take off the shoe to empty it, but, hey, they're not flip-flops! My old ones finally wore to the point of not so good looking, but still functional. I ordered a new pair in the same size 9 1/2, but unfortunately the sizing has changed. They're smaller now, especially in length. I measured the length of the sole and it's a 1/2 inch shorter than the sole of my original.Still great shoes, but I needed a half size larger in the new version and had to return. They do run smaller now. By the way, the Whisper version is even smaller. I love Zappos service and free shipping both ways. The shoes came in 2 days. However, they did not have my size available in the color and price I wanted for an exchange, so unfortunately I need to look elsewhere. I'll be back, though.

Great show, but on the surface it looks as though it might be the most comfortable shoe in the world but in reality my feet were tired after an hour! Maybe it's just me. Good comfortable shoe.

If you have wide or lumpy, tender feet, this might be the style for you. The lining is very soft and comfortable. It was the widest of the styles I tried and so not suitable for my narrow feet. If you have long toes, you might not care for the fit, either. The arch support is more than minimal but less than moderate.

Purchased these because the quality of Keen Newport's had become extremely poor. (Much narrower than previous 8 pairs, strap that goes around heel was sewn much lower than ever before - even after exchanging 3 pairs!) So, decided to try this style as a replacement. The toe box is somewhat wider than current Newport's, the strap is sewn at same height as old Newport's so it doesn't rub the back of my heel raw. Love Keens in general (and have purchased 17 pair over last 8 years - various styles) Hope these fill in for the Newport's that I will never purchase again!

This shoe was a 1/2 size too small. I ordered the next size and they fit great.

I was seeing more and more women wearing this type of shoe as a style statement rather than just an athletic shoe, and thought it looked cute (especially when matched with capris). I also needed something instead of hot sneakers to walk the dogs. I first ordered Clarks newest version, which were super-cute but my toes hit the front with each step. My husband always wears Keens similar to these for walking and hiking, so I chose these. I noticed the toes curve upward, same as my beloved, comfy Danskos! So I ordered these and are very happy with them. The only reason I didn't award 5 stars is because the width in the toe box makes your feet look a bit duck-like. Not a problem fit-wise, but it looks like the front of the foot is swimming in the space--which you can see because of the open straps. I'd still recommend them and I'm very picky.

I am looking for a shoe to take to South Africa on several safaris. I ordered this shoe, but I'm not sure that I am going to keep it. It seems to fit fine, but the width is so wide across the toe area. It makes your foot look a lot bigger than it is. This is the first Keen that I have tried. I usually buy Merrell's.

Feels comfy and wide enough for me, I do have wide feet, but normal width felt fine. I was walking for hours with no discomfort whatsoever. I did not feel slippery while boating or in a rain forest. Great traction. I gave 4 stars only due to design. Surely, Keen can do nicer design, the most difficult part is accomplished - comfort is there! Very happy with my purchase.

I tried on many pairs of these types of sandals and finally settled on this pair. I typically wear a size 9, but ended up with a size 8.5, which seems to be different from what many others are saying. I suggest getting a couple of different sizes and trying them.I find these to be fairly comfortable, but I will admit that my feet do get hot despite the fact that there is plenty of air. I think it's the neoprene that lines them or something. It also takes a little while the the inside bottom of the shoe to break in and become more slippery and when I first wore them, I did get a couple of blisters on the underside of my toes from the suede type material. The other thing that does happen with these types of sandals is that you will get pieces of grass clippings, flowers, weeds or whatever stuck inside the shoe and you'll find that you have to take them off and sort of empty them out. I do like them and they are perfect for doing things like dog sports or for when you need a sandal that will stay on your feet. I got the okra green and it's a really great color.

I really thought I'd like these since I've had Keens in the past and figured they'd fit my wide foot, but unfortunately they pinched my little toes a bit. Not actually painful, but I've been wearing minimalist shoes lately and don't like any sort of constriction on my foot any more.As for length, they seemed true to size. I ordered my usual size 9, as well as a 9 1/2 because of recommendations on here, and the 9 was perfect. Also, the aubergine is actually more of a purple than red (it looked almost burgundy on my monitor), which I really like. I'll be sad to return them.

Versatile and comfortable, but definitely not made for long hikes. Especially if you have long and skinny feet like I do.

Have had them 3 weeks. Great because poor nail polish maintenance not an issue! Roomy at size 8.5, my normal size. I keep pulling in the cord to tighten. I love the neutral color, because it lengthens the leg even if it abuts the bottom of leg. Wonder how they wash? That's my only concern because I am a daily hiker in muddy New England and it's hot here this spring!

My first pair of Keens. I wanted the toe protection for WDW vacation. Great shoes. Lightweight, breathable and adjustable. One drawback, the texture of the foot-beds tend to rub. The groves under the big toe area are weird and irritating the minute you put it on. Better arch support than other keens I tried on, which I find are usually too flat for me. If only Merrill made something similar, I think their shoes fit me better and are so smooth to slip into. But I will be wearing my new Keens all summer. These are great for in and out of the water and quick drying.

I bought these shoes in Amaranth and the color was fabulous. Normally I wear a size 7, but with Keens, I always wear a 7 1/2. I was surprised when I got these shoes and they were too big. Even though they were too big, they were incredibly comfortable. Unfortunately, one of my feet is bigger than the other, and I knew the 7 would be too small. With much remorse, I had to send these back.

This shoe is a lot cuter than is shown on-line. The arch support is great, but I think it might be too much support for my arches, since mine aren\'t very high at all. I wouldn\'t say I have a flat foot, but I def. don\'t have a high arch. I am still deciding if I like these shoes, so I am just wearing them around the house. I have a very wide foot, and normally wear a 10.5 (try finding that in a store!) The size 11 fit me width and legth wise, but as I said, I am still deciding if the arch support is too much for my foot. I have ordered a few more Keens from Zappos to try them out and see if they might fit my arches better.

As others have said, these shoes are comfortable from the first time you slip them on and remain comfortable over hours of walking time - no break in period required. I did experience a little chafing from one of the straps on the outside of my foot right at first, but when I adjusted the width of the shoe with the stretchy lacing that goes down the top of the foot, that fixed it. I bought the normal size I buy for all my shoes and it fits perfectly. I have high arches and would have loved a little more arch support but that is my only complaint, and it's a minor one. I have used Tevas in the past for hiking sandals and had terrible problems with them for blisters and chafing at the heels and toes - based on my first few weeks of using the Keens I have every expectation that my feet will fare much better in these over the long haul.

Very comfy! I bought them for a beach trip where we might be doing some sailing. I think these will perfect for the transition between light hiking, the beach and boating. I have to admit I feel a little goofy in them but they are super comfortable though and that makes it worth it. The only thing that makes them slightly less comfortable is that they are super wide. I have to pull the cords really tight so that my feet don't slide around and this makes the sides ride up just a smidge on my ankle. Still, I would highly recommend them. Oh and I bought a 1/2 size larger than i normally wear.

Almost perfect. I got these shoes because I walk EVERYWHERE. I really love them, and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Except for one thing – the outside strap presses on my ankle in such a way that it aches after a full day of wear. It's odd because it only does it on the one side, so maybe I just have one weird ankle! Anyway, I've tried to adjust the strap multiple ways, but really it seems that it's the height of the strap that's the problem, not the tightness of it. Other than that, though, these shoes are amazing. I have literally hiked in them all day, and other than a slight ache in the one ankle, been totally comfortable.

Keen Venice – homely, but max comfort - Although not “pretty”, these shoes are incredibly soft and comfortable for all day walking, in and out of the water. I wear a heel lift and it stays in, no problem. And I'm sure my face looks better in these shoes - smiling and relaxed!

They are very comfortable. Great for walking but something in the material irritates my skin. Even so, I would buy another pair.

Great overall - I needed a sandal that covered my toes and was comfortable enough to walk all over town in. These are a little sportier than I wanted, but fit the bill otherwise. I walked miles the first day I had them and never had a problem. They get a little hot, but other than that, they've been great.

Hmmmm - Well I read everyone's reviews and lucky for me I took the advice to order 1/2 size up and it was a perfect match for me. When I put the shoe on it was immediately comfortable...but on my left foot only...it rubbed up against my ankle. I think since it was only one side it might be a defect, but I had to return it and I decided on another shoe that may not go as high on the foot as this one. I must say it is an ugly shoe but I can imagine it is comfortable if I didn't have that defect. It also seemed wide...I think I read someone with a narrow foot buying these...strange because at least in my size it was very wide looking and when I synched up the elastic it made the rubbing on my ankle worse.

Perfect for vacation! My husband doesn't like sandals and found these a little difficult to get on. But, once on I think he liked them. They are great for warm weather fun and they were very nice on my bike trip. My feet felt protected and cooler than shoes.

My review - I ordered the color red, which is think is more attractive than black. They run a little short on my foot. I find Dansko is a much better walking shoe and a lot more comfortable for me.
