I previously bought a pair of Alley Cats size 71/2 extra wide. You don't offer that shoe anymore they were great fit and comfort and feel. I thought the Mariner would be the same, but guess what you don't offer it in a wide size unless you get the 8. They are too big, but I will put up with that cause I always have to put up with a larger size. They make my back feel out of joint.

We purchased these because the cool cats we normally buy are not being made anymore. we prefer those but this is a good replacement.

A great buy for the money. Wish shoes were made in the good ole USA again.

My husband wears these shoes for work and for good. The only downfall that he has said about the shoes is they do not do well in wet weather.

Second pair of Mariners that I have bought. I do add an insole for extra cushioning but I am walking in them all day for my job. They do boost you up about an inch so that is kind of nice.

Great fit, like style

I do like these boots but they tongue is just about a half inch too short. I find this quite often with Chinese manufactured products.

I am very happy with the boot-shoes. I use primarily for riding our motorcycle. They work very well, and even though I have large feet there is no problem shifting a problem I have with most boots. I will add a pair of insoles and will be quite satisfied with the look and perfoance of the boots.

I was looking for a simple not overkill shoe boot to walk for evening walks. We walk sidewalks with and without snow for a min one hour. My current shoe caused calluses; they crowded my toes. The Skechers solved my problem by fitting well and are perfect for these walks.

I really like the platform of the boots. I am a heavy man and the thick wide platform provides stability on all types of surface. The sole lugs are deep and well patterned. I wear brand name wool medium or heavy hiking socks and have plenty of to room. Overall the best boot that I have ever owned.

Fits great and looks pretty good. I have them in brown and am really happy with there look in slacks so I got black. My black ones are the same except the leather looks a bit cheap and thin but still look good

This is a very good everyday shoe.

They fit and fell just right. My other Skechers lasted so well I decided to try these too. The laces are staying tied. Recommended.

I have worn Skechers shoes for almost 20 yrs. My first experience was excellent and the quality and style of the boots were the same, excellent. I wore this pair for almost ten years. My second purchase of the Mariners was somewhat disappointing. The sole stitching came loose after only 9 months. I only wore these during the winter months, so the failure was actually present after only 4 months. The soles started to crack after 18 months. I was, however, willing to try the brand and style again. I hope that this pair will have the durability that the first had, if so I will continue to be a BIG fan of the brand, if not, this will be the last time that I purchase them. Your next question in the form is whether or not I would recommend them to a friend. I will need to wait to decide. Currently, I will answer yes, but if things don't go well I will have to condemn them to people that I know.

My "Harvard" style sketchers would last all of one month before degrading (front toe leather would rip and crack). My last pair actually separated from the sole under my toes within 6 months (and I would have rattles in my heels from stones being stuck in the sole). This style is much sturdier and worth the extra money. I beat up my shoes at work and this pair actually has taken the abuse great.
