So comfortable & cute!

We first bought the same size 45 for my husband as he has been wearing for years. But he felt they were a bit too small so we returned those and moved up a size to 46 and that was just right! Remember, your feet change as you get older and he is now 59 so we are glad he could try them in the house to make sure size was right. He also bought the ones with the rear strap. He prefers the oiled Habana leather to the shiny brown amalfi. Personal preference. All in all, these are great. He owns about 6 pairs and uses some as house shoes and others in our RV. Loves them! And we love Zappos!

I bought the narrow first and they were too narrow, so returned them and purchased the regular ones and they fit great. The softbeds are super comfy right away and true to size. The return process was super easy too.

Agonized over purchasing these without trying them on based on others comments about sizing but I couldn't find them in a nearby store so I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did! I'm a 7.5 and the 38 fits perfectly! I was concerned about what others have said about leather stiffness but I purchased the oil-rubbed with a soft foot bed in narrow and they feel great! I also like the tobacco coloring, something different, My daughter has the traditional in black and she's jealous so she's saving up for an oil-rubbed, soft food bed pair. My feet are kinda wide but glad I got the narrow in the unisex sizing, regular would have definitely been too wide. They're pricey but I'm expecting years of enjoyment, so glad I finally committed!

I’ve worn Birkenstocks for years but the soft footbed is amazing. The tobacco color goes with anything. I have average width feet and the narrow is a perfect fit.

I have long, skinny, flat feet with long toes. Generally I have to buckle straps over my feet as tightly as I can, and even punch new holes or make modifications to fit snugly (Finn Comfort). With flip flops, I usually size up to a FULL SIZE down in order not to walk right out of them. I have a pair of Mayari in size 39 regular (i'm about 8 to 8.5 US) which I love and which work, but these Arizona narrow are perfect. I even have an extra hole if it stretches out and I need to cinch. Super happy!

Bought these for my husband and he loves them! Habana color has a worn look that he really likes, makes them look a little nicer than the standard suede. He is a size 12 and I bought him size 44 which fit snug, but is what you want in this style. Size 45 was a little too big.

I have several Birks, but this was my first pair with the soft footbed and I am in love. These shoes are soo comfortable. I got the iron color which is beautiful. Love them.

I have purchased numerous pairs of Birkenstocks through the years, but I have never purchased a pair with the soft footbed. Wow. I love them. I haven't had a pair of Arizonas for awhile - not because I didn't choose them, but because they were always sold out. I am looking forward to summer!

This was my second pair of the Arizona Softbed Birkenstocks because I love them so much!! I have Plantar fasciitis and these are the most comfortable shoes I wear for that. I ordered the darker brown pair this time and I didn't really like the color, too dark, so I called Zappos and talked to the most wonderful customer service rep who exchanged them for me for the lighter brown. I've always been impressed with Zappos customer service; they go way above and beyond, which brings me back!!

I ordered both the black and iron in regular.....when they arrived I noticed that is was WIDE, very wide. I called customer service, talked to the sweetest lady, and found out that 'narrow' fits women better since its a unisex shoe. I exchanged both pairs, however the iron was not available so I ended up with just the black pair. I will say that if you are looking for grey, like I was and like the picture shows, you will be bummed when you receive these - they are not like the picture indicates - they are waaaaay darker. But all in all. the shoe itself is amazing!! happy shopping!

Originally I purchased the 'regular' but when I received those they were too large (width wise). I called customer service and spoke with the nicest, most helpful rep who mentioned that the 'regular' is more inline with the mens (since the is a unisex shoe) and that I needed to be in a narrow (even those my feet are not narrow). GREAT recommendation and now fits perfectly.

The fit and size is perfect. I love Birkenstocks with the soft footbed. I hate to have to wear anything else. I don’t very often. Zappos is the perfect place to get them!

This shoe was very comfortable and exactly what I expected BESIDES the color... I ordered the iron color, which, in the photos, looks like a lovely grey. In reality, they are basically a light black. When they scuff, they do turn a lighter grey, but it's still nothing like the photos. Too bad. That grey would be perfect. These are going back.

I have 3 pairs of Almalfi leather softbeds. I wear them everyday 24/7. I actually need to send my black pair for new soles, i wore them out!!! Best shoes ever, cant live without my Birks! I have several different styles but the Arizonas are still my all time favorite shoe! If you have wide feet regular width are the best. To the people who feel the leather straps are too stiff...use saddle soap on your straps. Not only does it protect the straps from water, it softens the leather as well.

I bought these shoes, hoping they would relieve tendonitis in my Achilles and heel on my left foot. The left shoe fits perfectly and seems to be helping my problem. Because my right foot is more pronated, it is taking longer and some Band-Aids to break in. But still worth the trouble. This style is unisex so they are a little bit masculine. I'm a girl so I just paint my toenails and enjoy the comfort!

The Amalfi leather is very soft. Sadly, they were out of the tobacco/brown when I ordered and I ordered the oiled leather tobacco. They'll be fine but take longer to break in. Spend the extra $10 and get the Amalfi leather! You won't regret it.

Oiled Leather Habana + Soft Footbed = an amazing Birkenstock! Wowzer. Comfy and stylish. I ordered size 36 and I usually wear a 6.5 but I've also ordered Birks in 37N so it's different for everyone. Leather fit differently then suede and number of straps make a difference also. Many factors to consider before ordering. But these are groovy!!! Love them.

I can't say enough how happy I am with this sandal. The Habana is the perfect half-way point between the dark brown and tobacco colors. I ordered my sandal in a narrow based on other reviews I read, and I'm glad I did. They fit perfect right out of the box. I wear a regular 7.5 in other shoes and ordered the 38 narrow, they are a perfect fit! So happy with them!

These are magic shoes. I have never worn Birkenstocks before because I've always thought they were too ugly. But now I don't care. I have planter fasciitis and a Morton's Neuroma. My feet are usually miserable. I got these shoes a couple days ago, and they make a HUGE improvement in my daily functioning. My feet feel so much better. I purchased the narrow footbed version. I have very narrow feet. They are still a little too wide, but I can adjust the straps enough to make them work.

I have tried other makers of sandals yet I cannot find anything as comfortable as a Birkenstock sandal. I have a slightly fatter foot and also wider and find these sandals to accommodate excellently. Superb comfort! I wear these almost year round...I am in St Louis and am wearing them today 12/15/16 and it is 19 degrees out. The Iron color is great and provides a different hue than the normal browns and blacks. Great Buy!

Zappo's listed size conversion for this shoe is inaccurate. A size 40 is a full inch too large in length for my size 9 feet.
