I ultimately returned these sandals because I did not love the style or color (tobacco). More of a pale taupe than the medium brown I was expecting. That said, I wear a fairly consistent size 8, medium width in women’s shoes and the size 38 narrow was a pretty perfect fit. Very comfortable shoe, can’t speak to the break-in period but they felt pretty good from the start.

My Orthopedic doctor recommended I look into Birkenstocks for help with my foot and ankle pain. Boy was his right. I am a loyal buyer of Vionics because of their cute arch support and wide width shoes. I am over the moon I have found Birkenstock sandals to add my shoe collection. Birkenstocks hug your foot, the cupped heel and arch support are spectacular! Just remember NARROW in Birkenstocks are for narrow to medium width feet and REGULAR are for wider feet. I like lots of room for my feet and toosties so I went for the REGULAR width.

I ordered 7.5 narrow and they fit perfectly. These sandals are beautiful navy leather, and it’s hard to find navy! My first Birkenstocks, but I know l’ll love them this summer. Was worried they might be stiff, but the softer footbed makes the difference!

LOVE Birks and I have no doubts they will and have saved my DH and me from knee and ankle surgeries. After *finally* purchasing the leather versions of Birks, I'll never go back to any of the synthetic stuff again. The leather is totally worth it.

I normally wear a 9 wide in shoes, and if wide isn't available, then I go for a 9½. However with sandals, no matter what the brand, they always run short length wise just a little, Birkenstock is no exception, and so I bought a size 10 and they fit perfectly. So I do recommend to purchase 1 half size up.

Love these Birkenstocks! I purchased this shoe is the Cognac Oiled color. Beautiful. I ordered my normal size 8.5/39 and they fit perfectly. I purchased the narrow width due to the recommendation of another review. Great choice. These are keepers!

I just got these a few days ago, so I haven’t broken them in yet. I plan to wear them about the house for a while to help soften the leather. They fit similarly to my other Birkenstocks, and I’m in my usual 37 M/W. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8, but I wear a 37 in Birks. The leather looks beautiful, and I really like the new soft footbed. The soft footbed is more comfortable more quickly than the original. Overall, I’m really happy with these!

Arizona was my first pair like many people into the world of Birkenstock. I just love the classic clean look and feel. I have owned this model before but this is the first time I have ordered a pair with the soft footbed. I love the way it feels but I had to go one size up as my normal size just didn’t fit right with this footbed. Overall, I’m happy with my order. Also, the customer service is amazing! They made my replacement a snap. Thank you! You guys rock!!

Leather is always a little stiffer (but I much prefer to faux, though faux are super comfortable right out of the box and less expensive) but once you break them in – or just wear them with socks – they're great. I wish Birkenstock would use a black buckle/true silver on the black version – or even sell interchangeable buckles (or let you customize). As someone with problem feet, who needs to stay off their forefoot to reduce pressure, the back cup and arch support ensure my feet stay comfortable all day. I prefer the Arizona for adjustability. Love the soft bed. Easy to dress 'em up and down.

I wear a 7 to 7.5 in shoes in general. I wear a size 38 UK5 in Dr. Martens and these sandals fit great. I have narrow feet, but because of the straps, I am able to adjust therefore the sandals stay in place, no slipping around on foot. Super Cute!

I love my Birkenstock Floridas and thought I'd try the Arizona. Same wonderful comfort and structure I need for Morton's neuroma, however, the upper strap hit the bone spurs on the tops of my feet. I'll stick with the Florida's where the straps land on either side of the spur.

Love these Birkenstock sandals. If you are a first time Birkenstock buyer, make sure you know what you are getting into. What I mean by this is you will slip your feet into these, and they will most likely not feel comfortable. There is a definite break in period, the cork bedding will take time to mold to your feet. Once broken in, your feet will be in heaven. Be determined, be disciplined, wear them a little bit one day, a little more the next, and so on and so on then before you know it, you will have a sandal that is tailored to your feet firing you perfectly. Since I couldn’t find these Birkenstock on sale anywhere it was a no brainer to buy them here at Zappos because of their most amazing customer service and fast delivery. Thank you Zappos.

These are my all time favorite, go to, ride or die shoes! My feet love the soft footbed. I have RA, fused toes and nerve damage and these are never a problem for me to wear all day. I have multiple pairs.

Fit is great. Wasn't sure about the color. The tobacco color looks darker on website than it is in person. But I'm keeping them anyway.

I have worn Birkenstocks for about 25 years. I love them. I typically wear 9 medium in typical women’s shoes and 9 1/2 wide in running shoes. I have always worn size 39 regular (normal/wide), but have recently felt they really were too small and not wide enough. After doing some research on true correct fit for Birkenstocks, I sized up to a 40 regular and they were a perfect fit - especially after a few days of breaking them in. My new pair are tobacco color…a perfect neutral. Very pleased!

This is the Birkenstock I recognize from when I first started wearing them back in the late 1960s! Solid with nice leather straps, and what appears to be metal buckles that have NOT been painted. Now I just need to order it in a 41 (I'm a standard US size 10 so not sure why Zappos recommended the 40). I might have been able to use a 40 but I hate it when my toes bump up against the front edge and I like my heel solidly in the heel "cup".

Absolutely love Birkenstock shoes. I own several myself. decided to get one for my husband. ordered the Arizona Soft Bed in “Tobacco” for him. the color we got was VERY different IRL. Expect the color to be very different from stock photo!! also with the “soft bed” it feels smoother
