This is very different from the women's birkenstocks I've worn in past, the footbed near the toes is VERY wide - strangely so. I have an average foot and there was no way these would have worked. Definitely not "unisex" and much more a men's shoe.

These sandals did not arrive in the original box and were marked up on the straps. I expected better quality for this price.

Fit was disappointing. Can't really tell until worn a few days, but then it is too late. Otherwise I like them.

I love the shoes, but need to echo what another customer reported about receiving the item. The sandals arrived in a plastic bag, no shoe box and no tags. The sandals appear worn, and the buckles were already set to a specific size. They appear worn/returned. Not very happy with paying full price for already worn shoes.

I've been wearing Birkenstock for over 30 years. Have had many pairs of Arizonas. Thought I'd try the soft footbed, as recently my feet have become more sensitive. WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THE CUSHIONING IN THE HEEL- the heel has virtually no cushioning. the rest of the shoe has ample cushioning and is fine. I'm wondering if the pair i got is defective. I'm thinking of returning them. p.s. i don't like a lot cushioning in the heel, but this has none- when i heel strike there is a hard feel, as if there is no cushioning- it's no different than the regular (non soft-footbed) Arizona.

Not sure of break in time. But both my big toes are sliced and very sore. Trying them around the house with socks

I always loved my Birks. This was labeled as a soft footbed. I must say it didn't feel very soft at all. My last pair of soft footbeds was more comfortable. To be honest, I feel like the quality has dropped some.

Solid sandal. However, I'm in the in-between sizes for narrow and regular, so the fit is a little awkward. Perhaps that's why they tend to slip off easily. If you're just to the line in their size guide that's on the shoebox, you're going to have to do some experimenting with different sizes.

I wanted to love these, however, the leather rubbed the top of my foot and they were extremely uncomfortable. Also the color of the leather was much darker than pictured online. I wear a 6 1/2 medium, but had to reorder a 36 as the 37 were too large. The soft bed gives more cushioning than the original cork sole, but I had to send them back. As usual Zappos service is excellent, but I miss the one day vip shipping.

The leather is stiff, and I am hoping it will soften.......maybe the suede works better.

These were huge! I have been struggling finding a pair that fit me right in this style of Birkenstock. So I got another color they were narrow in a 39 they fit perfect in the length but too narrow so I thought I would try 39 and the regular and they’re like an inch too long. I give up

I bought these shoes for my mom who has very wide feet & bad knees, hopeful a good pair of shoes would provide relief. The straps allow for sufficient adjustability to accommodate her foot, but the outer edge of the footbed is uncomfortable to her. She insists “they’re fine” but continues to wear her inexpensive off-brand sandals over these. My MIL had a similar issue despite having much narrower feet. I’m optimistic they’ll feel better after the cork adjusts a little but pain is a disappointing outcome after purchasing such a pricey pair of shoes. I recommend wearing them indoors a day or two to discover “pressure points” while in return window, just in case.

I bought my first pair of Birkenstock Gizehs four years ago when I was pregnant with my second child. They quickly molded to my feet and I wore them nonstop for months, including exclusively for a two week walking vacation while I was six months pregnant. My feet changed after both pregnancies (arches fell a bit, feet now a little bit wider - C width - across the tops of my feet) and my Gizehs were now uncomfortable almost immediately after putting them on. Initially, I tried to just reorder the Gizehs, but the widest part of my feet extends over the sides of them, which I don't like. I ordered the following sandals to try and replace the Gizehs: Yara - kept, love these and the ankle strap, definitely keeping them, feet do slide a little but nothing uncomfortable, will try tightening the straps, takes an extra minute to put them on due to the straps, like the toe strap, feet definitely fully fit on footbed Granada - returning, uncomfortable both times I tried them on, thinking that it's the multiple cutouts in the straps (which look cute but hurt my skin if I try to walk), feet definitely fully fit on footbed Arizona - deciding, super comfortable trying on but they look so clunky, also feel like my feet slide forward a lot, feet definitely fully fit on footbed Mayari - deciding, super comfortable trying on, just wondering if they're too similar to the Yaras, like the toe strap, feet definitely fully fit on footbed

This sandal looked like a Birkenstock but I think it is a fake. The footbed was barely soft and there was no comparison from my 3 year old pair that I bought straight from the Birkenstock website. The oiled leather scratched after only wearing it a couple times and I questioned when I first got them if it was real leather as now they can make fake look so real. I am not satisfied with this pair of shoes but at least I used my rewards and didn't pay full price.

Just the real thing, not a fake.

These are unisex. They are different than women's. The footbed by the toes is wider. I am returning them.

Love the soft footbed, but the leather was too stiff/uncomfortable for me. I think it would take awhile to break these in. I prefer the Habana oiled leather instead.

Unfortunately, these shoes did not work for me. It seems the arch support was a little too much for me, and it made my arches ache.

I'm very unhappy with these shoes. I have worn Birkenstocks for decades and these are hard as a rock and they're supposed to be a soft footbed. I cannot even wear them.

I bought a pair of the "regular" (without the soft footbed) Arizonas a couple of years ago. I loved the way they looked, but they were hideously uncomfortable. One day I when I was doing lots of walking, the bulging arch lumps in the footbeds ground horrible, huge blisters into the soles of my feet that took weeks to heal. I was so annoyed with the shoes that I threw them in the trash. Fast forward to a few days ago, when I discovered that a "soft footbed" version was available. Based on reviews, I thought these would be worth a try and would be much more comfortable to wear for long periods and certainly for walking. They're not. I can't feel any difference between the original rock-hard version and this "soft" version--they're not soft at all. I'm ticked that I spent all that extra money to get what is essentially the same shoe. I threw out the original box, so I'm stuck with them. I can say with certainty that they'll be the last pair of Birkenstock's I'll ever purchase. I really don't understand the cult following.

I wear and have many birks, but wanted to try the softbed, these were harder than the regular!! I put on my feet and walked maybe one step in my room and said absolutely not they need to be sent back! I know they take time to break in but I wouldn’t have been able to even wear to start the break in period. Very disappointed. The color was also not as great as what it looks like online. It blended into my skin and just looked bad. A no for me unfortunately

I have narrow, very flat feet that pronate. I was hoping that these shoes would provide cushion and better arch support. Unfortunately, they did not. For the money, I did not find them any more comfortable than the base Birkenstocks.

My foot is very wide and the molded foot bed rubs on the sides of my feet. I'm hoping it's a matter of breaking them in. If not I won't be able to wear them.
