leather too stiff so ordered oiled leather and love it

This specific shoe was larger than the previous one we ordered, which was exactly the same style. We returned for another pair - hopefully it will fit correctly.

I love ?? my Birkenstocks especially the soft footbed. I should have ordered a EU 39 ( got a EU 40) as I’m in between sizes but these do fine with socks.

I ordered the Brown Amafali leather and was surprised how high gloss or shiny they were. I'm considering returning them but don't know if it bothers me enough to wait another week to get another pair. They definitely didn't look this shiny online.

I ordered these for my husband and though the fit was great, the second he put his left foot in the sandal he yelped in pain - there were some horribly sharp hardened drops of glue sticking out in the interior of the sandal, where the leather meets the foot bed. Returning them and planning on re-ordering a new pair, hopefully without such painful manufacturer's defect.

This was my first pair of Birks and I love them but the regular width turned out to be too wide after awhile. I have a wider foot but the narrow has turned out to be a better fit with subsequent pairs I've purchased. The narrow is really closer to a "regular" fit.

I wear an 11 or 45 and ordered these in a suggested 44. After a week, they stretched and were flopping around my feet at the tightest holes. Exchanging for a 43.

The soft foot bed is different than the original Birkenstock. The foot bed feels narrower and not as much support. I will be returning and ordering the original Arizona Birkenstock.

I ordered this in the regular since I have wide feet and it fit well. I found the amalfi leather to be a bit too stiff. I returned these and got the brown oiled leather with the soft footbed. These are very comfortable and I am keeping these. Thanks to Zapppos for great customer service and easy returns.

I have a few pairs of Birkenstocks and I was looking for grey double straps in the soft footbed. The only thing I wished was different about these is the color. The iron color is darker than picture shows and looks almost the same as the black but the comfort is phenomenal! I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, long-lasting shoe that goes with anything!

Got My sandals today and immediately put them on....well I've had "Birks" before and wasn't surprised when I had to add another hole on all the straps for a better fit....HOWEVER the buckle on my left foot killed me when I walked....I had to take them off and use sandpaper to take the edges off the staples coming through....not real happy about that....but I will continue to break them in....hope I didn't compromise the integrity of the buckle....I had no choice....didn't want to return them....

The buckle on the upper strap rubs against my bone on both feet. Hope either the leather softens up or my foot toughens up in that spot. Otherwise, a comfortable sandal

After no luck finding these shoes in a store (so that I could try them on!), I finally ended up ordering different sizes from Zappos.com. Thank you Zappos! Anyway, you will read plenty of reviews that will tell you that these are "like snowshoes" and SO wide/long/big everywhere, etc. I'm here to tell ya, that was not the case for me. I wear a very true-to-size 8 in all other shoes, and my foot is not considered "wide". I also have the beautiful luxury (not!) of having my second AND third toes slightly longer than my big toe. This posed a problem when I came to sizing, but I was determined! I ended up trying on THREE sizes of this same shoe. First the 38 NARROW, which after reading all reviews was what I expected to fit. No go. Since the issue seemed mostly due to my other toes and not the big toe, I tried a 38 REGULAR next. I REALLY wanted those to fit! The soft bed is so comfy! But after trying on the 39 Regular, I was sold. 39 should have been my size all along (its a womens 8), but the reviews mislead me. *I will say, the 39R was noticeably bigger in the straps than the 38R, and for that reason I did need to add an extra hole in the second buckle and that worked out well for me.* The Iron color is great and will match everything I ever wear, the style is basic which I love, and the comfort beats no other. I bought these sandals a couple of weeks ago, just to have something to wear for the summer. Although they are pricey, and it took 3 days for them to arrive, the shoes themselves were an excellent purchase. The suede is very stylish and the arch support is remarkable; if you're thinking of purchasing Birkenstocks through Zappos, then you've got my recommendation.

I love these shoes, but would not wear for walking distances! This is why I gave them four stars. They provide good arch support! The leather straps loosen with wear so I need to make more holes for the buckle. Zappos rocks!

Arizona Soft Footbed Birkenstock - These shoes are very comfortable. The only thing I regret is that I cannot slide my foot directly into the shoe because of the straps over the foot. They are made of suede, and will not stay off the footbed. I like sandals that I can slide my foot into without using my hands. I guess I should have bought some without the suede straps. This is the only thing I dislike about these sandals.

The soft foot bed is great! I really like Birkenstock's and with the soft foot bed, they're even more comfortable. I'd never had the soft foot bed before and think that's the only way to go now. The one thing I wish is that the holes on the straps went smaller.

Look great but.... They are overall comfortable and very nice looking. Perhaps a little wider than I thought they would be and my foot is not necessarily narrow.

Aaah - Just came back from 10 days in Paris, walking over 5 miles/day. It was hot, and the Birks were cool. They were the only shoes I took that didn't cause blisters. I wore them every day, and am glad I had them.

Comfort at last - I've never been able to wear Birks before as they were too hard but when I saw a "soft" version was offered I tried it, and they are wonderful. I normally wear a wide so I bought a normal and had to add another notch in the strap, and another one about a month later. The foot bed is perfect so don’t know if I should try a narrow next time or not. But have no complaints about this shoe. The support is great for my knees and back.

Nice Walking Sandal - Birkenstocks have seemed to rise in popularity around my school, so I decided to see what they really felt like. I think the Birks are great for walking, as opposed to any other open toe sandal. But I do not like these for just standing. My foot is a bit too wide for these, and the inner edge hurts. Otherwise I am happy with these. The soft footbed is a good investment. I usually wear 11, but had to buy a 10.

Soft footbed a plus - Great Birkenstock for around the house. Extra comfort with usual Birki support. Highly recommend this shoe.

Not as Durable as people say - I bought these shoes in August right before going to back to school. I go to a university with a large campus and lots of walking. I like to wear my Birks until they become part of my foot so to say, so I wore them day after day for the first month I was there. After that month the heel of the sole was worn through to the cork and I couldn’t wear them anymore or else they wouldn't be fixable...to pay that much money for sandals, I think I should be able to get more than a month out of them regardless of how I walk and how often I wear them.

I have often seen Birkenstock blue sandals. I really even put them on bc appear to be BLACK. Box says blue but you will never convince me. Up against dark navy blue, it still screams Black.
