Most comfortable shoe ever - These sandals are to comfort shoes what mashed potatoes are to comfort food. Year after year, this is the one that works.

Walking on air! I was thrilled with my sandals from zappos. They arrived quickly and are unbelievable. The sandals took a short time to "wear in" and look great! I wear them whenever I can!

Arizona soft footbed - I bought these Birks for my husband who is a long time Birk-wearer, and he absolutely loves them. He has basketball injuries (Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciatis), but of course, will not stop playing. He has tried many inserts, lifts, and a variety of other shoes. These softbed Birks are the only shoes that provide any comfort for his aching feet.

Great! No Other Shoe Like It - I originally bought these shoes as indoor shoes for the winter (I had been wearing running shoes, but in the winter in New England you don't want to wear your outdoor shoes around the house), but they feel so good, I am ordering another pair to wear outside (well, probably the Boston since it is a closed-toe shoe). I have significant nerve pain in the soles of my feet (similar to Plantar Fasciitis but in the ball and toes rather than the heel) and these are the only shoes that have made it better. I've tried three different kinds of prescription orthotics, but none of them worked half as well as the Birkenstocks. I had read online that they had helped many people with foot pain, but I never imagined they could work this well. If only they made a dress shoe with the same footbed...

Leather strap was too stiff for my feet.

Oiled Leather is stiff but loosens up with wear.

i SHOULD HAVE ORDERED SIZE 11. FEEL A LITTLE SMALL. IN THE PAST AN ELEVEN ALWAYS SEEN A LITTLE TO BIG. I LOVED THIS SOFT FOOTBED SHOE. USE AS HOUSE SLIPPERS.

Was looking for a navy or denim color, but these look almost black. They don't have much blue to them at all. I really thought they had sent me black by mistake, although on closer inspection there was a very faint blue tinge to them.

LOVE THESE. USE AS HOUSE SHOES. GIVE GOOD SUPPORT.

The blue color looks so much better on the website! These are actually a lot darker blue and have none of the little "distressed" look I thought I saw in the picture. Nothing to get excited about so I'll return for another color. Thank goodness Zappos makes it so easy!

Previously, I had bought a pair of Birkenstocks in the regular width, but they were too wide for my foot and sometimes my foot would slip out of the sandal when walking. These fit well and are comfortable to wear.

Ok, first of all, I know that Birkenstocks take a week or so to break in. So they are sometimes not super comfortable right out of the box. But I should have looked at the Birkenstock website first because there they have a fit tool where you can measure your feet in mm and it will tell you what size and width you need. I got a narrow, but actually need a regular/wide width, so I'm returning these. My other issue is that I ordered the Tobacco Brown Nubuck leather color, and it looks pretty blah... the leather is quality, but the color is less warm than what is pictured here on Zappos, actually looks a little gray to me. It makes my pale white girl feet look dead, for lack of a better word. The tobacco color would be a great neutral on someone with dark skin or someone who is tan. But unfortunately, this pair was just not for me.

I love Birkenstock sandals, have worn them for more than 35 years. I love this color. I am a bit disappointed with quality control. These sandals are not completely sealed on the cork. That is vital for long wear. They are also not cleanly finished - the leather is not smooth on all the edges. I am sure I will love them anyway, after I seal the cork.

Fit and size spot on. Like the quality of the leather. Not enough cushion so back they go.

this is a great Birkenstock. The "soft" footbed didn't have as much cushion as a pair I bought many years ago however and so they don't seem worth it. Will stick with my old pair for now, trying to find a sandal with a bit more cushion.

I have been wearing Birkenstocks since the late 80s, always the same size - no matter what style. These are significantly narrower, with a lower arch, compared to others I own/have owned. (Photos of same style, footbed, size in sole to sole comparison) They caused my foot to literally pronate, turning inward on the instep/arch side, when I walked. I am SO disappointed! The color is beautiful, but am sending them back.

Fit and size are exact to my other Birkenstocks. Soft footbed is nice and requires no break-in period. Great dark brown color too. Almost like a dark tobacco.

These are a great shoe. First time owning a pair of birks and I love them already!

Regular fit is quite wide …. Actually VERY wide (even after using buckles for adjustments) This styles is supposed to be a soft footbed but aren’t really that soft at first . I’ve had Arizona Birkenstocks before so I’m aware you usually have to break them in to shape to your foot. Although, I still wish there was a bit more cushion and arch support .

What was supposed to be a khaki color showed up as khaki and black. Probably something to do with being oiled leather. However, this makes the shoes look old & used. Also, it seems clear to me that they were previously worn -- buckles half done and half undone, scratches in the leather, torn box. I plan on returning these and buying something else.

The color was much lighter in person than in the picture. They are more like a camel color.

The tobacco color was great. Even the llength and width were fine. But the arches in this pair felt like rocks. Couldn't even make it to the mirror.

They fit but the leather is too hard and hurt on the top of my left foot. Returning.

Be aware that Birkenstock changed their soft footbed compound. It's not as soft or squishy as it used to be. I ordered one pair and returned it, thinking it was just an issue with that pair, but the replacement was the same. These still feel good and I would recommend them but they're not as comfortable as the old compound. Maybe they'll soften over time, along with the cork. I called Birkenstock and they said they didn't change it. I've had like 15 pairs of Birks over the years and I know these aren't the same.
