Insole causes problems - I agree with reviewer Anonymous from Washington, DC. The insole may cause problems for some, including myself. The insole is thick in the heel, which creates a fit problem for my feet. I got blisters from wearing the shoe until I bought a pair of Dr. Scholl’s insoles to replace the ones provided with the shoe. The Dr Scholl’s inserts are much thinner, so the mouth of the shoe fits over my heel properly. Besides this problem with the fit, I love the shoe. Too bad I had to drop more money on insoles.

Feels a little different than your standard All Stars due to the more supportive sole. The sizing was similar to my other experiences with All Stars in that I bought down one half size (normally wear a 9.5, but 9 in Converse). Very comfortable, look sharp, a good shoe overall. The metal aglets are a nice touch.

Better fitting, but not premium quality - Although I like the shoes for fit and overall comfort, particularly compared to the classic Chuck; I am a little disappointed with the build quality. After a few days the right shoe began to pull apart at the eyelets, the canvas is showing obvious strain and fraying and at least three eyelets are now beginning to pull away from the fabric. The left shoe isn't doing this and I'm thinking about returning them in the hopes of getting another pair of better finish.

Good Ole Converse - This is your standard good ole Converse but in cool colors that were not around 20 years ago... I love them.

Good old All Star - It's the same old All Star with an improved look.

Love the way these look. And feel great, except that they are a bit narrow up front, and my heel slides (narrow heels I have I suppose) - so I went down a half size for a better fit in the back.

Get 'em while you can - Since these shoes have inserts I thought they would be more comfortable. As it turns out there were and were not. They had nice support, but the shoe is cut differently than Chucks, and the heel bit my ankle, but a little blood and a scab, now all is well.

Great, moderately priced shoe! The All Stars receive a small update while staying true to their heritage. The basic addition is a better insole, but small leather details throughout make this a small step about trade. All Stars.

Good. Very comfortable. Only complaint is the colors of the shoe look different online than they do in person

Better than regular chucks - Not only do they look better, but they're more comfortable too.

Replace the insoles! The included insoles are much too thick for the upper; my heel didn't sit low enough to fit into the heel cup. The result was blisters and discomfort. After replacing the insoles with thinner ones, they now fit quite well.

Half-sized down? Like I would a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor's, I ordered a half-size lower than my usual size. I really wish I didn't. The back of the shoe digs into the back of my heel painfully. It's gotten better, but I have to let my heel heal up before I can wear the shoes again. I never had this much of an issue with other shoes.

Love the shoe; however, by the second week of wearing it occasionally, it started falling apart. The eyelets are breaking off. The welt is peeling. And the vamp is tearing. To exchange them becomes a bigger hassle then needed. Unfortunately, I am unsatisfied.

Good looking, but NARROW!!! These shoes are a huge step up from the classic Chucks in terms of their looks - Converse really outdid themselves on the details. But the sole itself is super narrow; You feel like you're hobbling around on nothing in these. Why they couldn't have maintained the same width as the old Chucks is beyond me.

Beware: Cheaply Made! After wearing these shoes for more than a month, most of the oval rivets have started ripping away from the material. Now, one of the top metal rivets came completely out and left a huge hole. These shoes are as good as trash!

Ow, ow, ow! Let me just say I REALLY wanted to keep these shoes. The looked great and I loved the styling. However, I've never had a pair of shoes give me blisters faster. Why? The insole insert they use to give more arch support makes the height at the heel too shallow. 2" from the insole to the top of the back of the shoe (my other shoes are typically 2.5-3" at the back). As result, my feet slipped out of the shoe (they fit otherwise), and it doesn't take a genius to realize that canvas isn't what you want rubbing up against your skin. I'm sure you could cut the insoles down, but that's no guarantee and you wouldn't be able to return the shoes. Some people might have heels that wouldn't slip - so don't let my bad experience stop you from trying the shoe.
