My six year old son loved these - super cute. Looked terrible after 3 weeks. Worn out, falling apart. For kids who play a lot outdoors sadly these are a waste of money.

These are great shoes and we have never had a problem, but after a month, the elastic on the top completely split in half making these shoes unwearable for skateboarding. I am in disbelief that this happened; these shoes are usually pretty much indestructible, but not this pair!!!

Ordered these for my son in 1/2 size up. Could not get them on his feet for the life of me. Not a struggle I'm willing to have every morning so, as cute as they are, they're going back!

So disappointed - I'm writing this review after one month of wear. My 7 year old is tough on shoes, but this was not our first pair of Vans and the others had held up fine. This pair did not at all! The canvas upper has almost completed separated from the rubber sole of the shoe (picture a shoe flapping like a beak and you'll get the idea). They are going back today. Note that while my son loves these, they aren't his only pair of shoes and he's not allowed to wear them two days in a row (we rotate shoes a lot to keep his sweaty feet clean and dry). So...between this pair, another pair of Vans, some Merrells and sandals, he's worn these...10 times? Maybe 15 at the most?

Actually really disappointed with my shoes and kinda regret buying them from Zappos. As a first time customer I was thrilled about the return policy, the free shipping and prices as they're cheaper than company sites. I'm an avid vans wearer, and have owned a pair of checkered slip-ons before. This pair was going to be my replacement as the old pair was no longer white. (-; However, I wear a size 3.5 in kids (ridiculous, I know) and decided I wanted them a little bit looser so I ordered a size 4. The shoes I got actually feel like a full size smaller than a 3.5 and I couldn't even get them on my feet. :-(

These shoes are half a size bigger than my son usually wears and we cannot get his foot in them. They are so tight he refuses to wear them. It takes me and my son several minutes to get these on his feet.

My 9 year old loves these shoes and we buy a new pair every few months. This time they did not fit well. He had trouble slipping his foot in. He wore them a few times and then said there was "something wrong with the shoes." I think it was the width. Beware.
