Returned right away. He usually wears 3.5 or 4 in other sneakers. This style only goes up to 4, it was so narrow he had a hard time getting them on and they were too small in length too.

My son has these exact shoes a half size smaller. I purchased a half size up when his began to wear out, but still fit. He cannot get these shoes on his feet past the toe, like the opening is too narrow. The shoes appear to be the appropriate length and width, but he can't try them on.

Awful. I bought these a full size bigger than the shoes my son actually wears, however, they were smaller than his previous pair of shoes. Unfortunately, he’s worn them and I cannot return them, so it was a big waste of money. I can barely get his foot in the opening, the elastic on the sides has no stretch. I have no idea how his father got them on him, but my son complained they hurt ALL day. I highly recommend buying a size bigger than you need. They are not true to size and run extremely small and narrow.

My 6 yr old son is just beginning to grow into size 11. We sized up and ordered 12 based on reviews. We couldn't even get these on his feet! The opening is much too small and doesn't give at all. My son has narrow feet. These are adorable and he was in tears of disappointment because he was excited for new skateboarding shoes. Returning shoes and bummed about the poor design.

My son has been begging for a pair of these slip ons and was so disappointed when they showed up. The elastic used, paired with the size of the opening that you put your foot through does not allow his extremely narrow foot inside the shoe. Major design flaw Vans...I was hoping that the other reviewers with the same issue just had wide feet, but my sons are quite narrow and he couldn’t even get the shoes on at all. I can’t even say if they run long or have an arch support since the foot didn’t even make it inside the shoe.

There must be a design flaw. There was no way my son could get his foot in the shoe. He’s six years old and wears a size 2 perfectly. I ordered a size 2 and he couldn’t get his foot in the shoe. I should have believed the reviews and not ordered them in the first place. I don’t believe Zappos should even carry the shoe with all the problems customers have had.

Unfortunately we had to return the vans because there was no way my son could get his foot inside the shoe. The opening is way too small. He is a size 2 but I would have to size up at least two more sizes just to be able to get his foot inside which would make the shoe too long. So many people have this problem with this you that I believe there is a major design flaw.
