Not a fan of these--I think the leather vans look so much nicer in person. Plus, these are super narrow--my son could barely get them on his feet! Had to send them back.

My grandson wanted these shoes SO badly. The first pair we ordered, size 1, were too small, even though he had recently grown into size 1! We sized up to a 2, and the length was a bit long, but the shoe was STILL too narrow. My grandson begged to wear them without socks if that would help them fit, but that would not be allowed at school; besides, they were simply too narrow and do not come in a wider width. Such a shame, I had ordered two pair, one for school and one for weekends.

We're about to order our 3rd pair trying to get the sizing right on these shoes. My 4yo daughter is a 10 in converse, 10.5 in See Kai Run, 11 in Keen, and the 11 in this shoe was too small. I'm exchanging for an 11.5 now to see if we can make it work. They are also EXTREMELY difficult to slip on as many other reviewers have mentioned. Very tight at the opening and the elastic gussets are so stiff they barely stretch. Hoping they will break in with some wear!

We bought these before and while they were a bit difficult to slip on, my son was able to get them on and break them in. This time however, we went up a size as his foot grew, and he can't even slip the shoe on. It seems to be narrower than before and more difficult to put on. It is his favorite looking shoe though so we are going to try ordering half a size up and see how it goes.....

Runs very narrow

This is a very cute shoe. Simple, but still stylish, nice material, appears well made, and priced affordably for the quality. Unfortunately, although marked as "medium" width, these shoes are extremely narrow. Going a half size up just gives you a shoe that is too long and still too narrow. If your child is truly a "medium" width, these may or may not fit. If your child's foot tends to run medium to wide, these shoes are not for them.

The shoes are cute style and great quality, just the navy is not a true navy blue. It’s a lighter blue. I ordered for a wedding to go with navy shorts and definitely not a match. As most said, they seemed to run small so size up. My son normally wears a size 13 with most brands, I sized up to 13.5 knowing these run small and still needed to struggle to get his foot in. I would say his foot is average - not wide.

I bought these for my 5 yr old boy. He has worn vans in the past, but only the ones with Velcro straps. These were the first slip ons to try, unfortunately these seem to run a little narrow and we had to return for a Velcro pair. Too bad because we both agreed they are the coolest looking shoe ever made.

Sending these back because they are insanely narrow. My daughter has a very narrow foot yet could not even begin to get her foot into this shoe. I'm going to order a size up to try because she really wants this shoe but I'm not terribly optomistic.

Way too narrow and stiff. My 7yo couldn't even get them on and she has M width feet. Returned for a different Vans style.

My son is not used to slip on shoes but he couldn't even get them on. Perhaps they run small.

These run REALLY small! Needed spring shoes for school and ended up having to shop elsewhere because there were very few all black kid shoes at Zappos. Totally disappointed

adorable design yet extremely narrow and small. My child normally wears a 3.5 or a 4.0 is slightly large on her. This 4.0 was so narrow and tight she could not even get the shoe on her foot.

Narrow and hard to slip feet into the younger the person.

My daughter loves her blue vans. Comfortable and cute! But.....I've bought two pairs and just ordered a third. The first pair seemed to last quite a long time. The second pair is looking worn out with holes starting in two places! My daughter has not started beating up her shoes, so why the difference? Idk. But I'm buying another pair after just two months! I hope these last longer.

LOVE the style of these classic slip on vans! Overall and comfort... I am giving this three stars because they are not true to size, and find them very difficult to slip in.. I will be exchanging for one size bigger.

This is not a good shoe for kids with wide feet. It is difficult to get the foot in.

Love the look of these. But ... my boys have trouble fitting into these type of loafer shoes. Not sure if their feet are too wide or if it's just plain uncomfortable for them. They are definitely not easy on and off so back they went.

These are a great classic style, like Vans usually are, but even after exchanging for a larger size, the fit is awfully snug. Although my son has only worn them for a couple of days, I keep hoping his foot will stretch them out a little bit. The biggest problem that I see though is that the foot opening is too small and he struggles to get them on. I will buy Vans again, but for this pair, I'm rating it lower than usual due to the sizing issues.

Wouldn't normally buy Vans because our last pair fell apart within 2 months, but my 6 yr old son is Mario obsessed. These look AWESOME but they're way too big and slip off his feet even with thick socks, when my son wears a 13 in Nike and Supra and they fit really well. Looking forward to when he can actually wear these.

My 10 year old son LOVED these shoes. He said they were comfortable and easy to put on. They looked great...at first. Unfortunately, they were falling apart after 6 weeks of wear. My son is not an athletic kid, so it's not as if they really took a beating...just normal walking around and moderate playing. Very disappointing.

These seem to fit smaller and narrower than years past. Switching to a different shoe. My sons beater size 13 are bigger than a size 1.5. The material around the inside ankle is very stiff and uncomfortable!

Bought the black and white checkered ones for my son and he loves them. Ordered a pair of the black and gray ones in his current size plus two sizes up and he can't get his foot in them. The Little Kids 11 is much smaller than his white Little Kids 11 (I held them up sole to sole) and then the 11.5 and 12 are much narrower than his 11. So the product doesn't seem to very consistent sizing wise.

My son loves these shoes...they are just his style and are versatile with most everything in his closet. My only issue with the shoe is rubber sole has a tendency to pull away from the shoe (and did so within a week). I notified Zappos customer service and they immediately sent a new pair (seriously you can't ask for more than that and I will be a loyal customer for that reason). The rubber on the new pair is holding pretty well for now, but I can see it will do the same with continued wear. Vans issue...not Zappos.
