Our 5 year old daughter LOVES her classic pink checkered VANS but I guess the difference in fit between the toddler sizes and the kids sizes is pretty significant because we couldn't even get these on her feet?!? We even ordered one size up, but were so bummed and will be returning them.

Soooo small. My daughter is a true 11. These were like a 10 but it was the elastic that was too tight. She couldn't even get her foot inside of the shoe. Order at least a size up.

These are adorable, but definitely run on the small side. I didn't see any reviews based on that so wanted to let the next person know my daughters foot has always been on the smaller side she is between 10 and 10.5 depending on the shoe but not an 11 yet (we've tried several) and these are not only pretty snug even with no show socks but definitely fit like a smaller 10. Size up for sure. As they're so small she only wore twice to try to break in and still not quite there so can't speak on longevity.

The shoes are very cute. My son just grew out of his size 9 of the lace up vans in the same color. I read that this particular shoe runs small, so I sized up to a 10.5, figuring he is somewhere between a 9.5 and a 10. They are still too small. It took so long to jam that shoe on his foot we were going to be late for preschool drop off. I am going to return, maybe just get a size up, or maybe get the lace ups in a bigger size.

Be a common feedback. Hope Vans considers a velcro closure like the toddler sizes so feet can actually get into the shoe.

These were hard for my son to get on and off and created some frustration. He has a little wider foot which I think was the issue. Once on he loves them but he would always choose a different show. They felt a little clunky too.

Had to send back as my son’s foot wouldn’t fit through the narrow opening. Bummed out as they look super cool but he couldn’t even get his feet in em to try em on for size. Sounds like a common complaint. Maybe make the opening a little bigger?

Could not get the size 1.5 onto my little 9 year old boy's foot, bought other shoes in the same size that did fit (Salomon sneakers). These were so narrow he could not get them on. Vans never have any arch support but couldn't get them on to test it out. Seem like good quality so keeping for his brother to grow into (and I don't feel like returning).

Purchased for my 9 YO daughter. Had to purchase 2 pairs before finding the correct fit. I would suggest ordering a size. My daughter complained about the material rubbing her heal- not enough padding. She loved the slip on concept and the look of the shoe otherwise.

My son loves these shoes but they run extremely small. We ended up returning and going to the Vans store where they could size him up. We ended up getting a whole size bigger than what he wears in other brands. Again these are the only shoes he will wear! But like most Vans they look cool but are heavy as bricks and offer little support.
