Great shoes, great site.
Great job by Zappos once again. I selected free shipping but they sent them 2nd Day Air anyway. Ordered on Wednesday, received on Friday. This is my first pair of Salomon's. I really like the lace system. I would caution people with wide feet that this shoe seems extremely narrow. That's great for me! I have a narrow foot and rarely find shoes that hug like this.

My Salomons-
I did not know Salomon made shoes. I was more familiar with there ski products. Anyway I Love them. I have been a "Keen" shoe fan for comfort, not any more.

Salomon's rock!
Awesome shoe! The lacing system works great; just pull tight and tuck! Very comfortable right out of the box and the Gore-Tex keeps things dry.

Great Shoe feels better each day-
At first I wasn't sure, and then with each day these shoes seem to conform to my feet. Love the style and colors.

Great Shoes-
Stylish & comfortable. Very reasonable for a shoe with GORE-TEX, too. Excellent service, as always.

Awesome shoes, Awesome service!
I just received these shoes 3 days after ordering. Great service! This is my second pair, so I was already familiar with the XA series. My last pair was great, but the new XA Pro 3D XCR exceeded my expectations. Much better fit, more stable, and I was happy to see they shortened the length of the lacing system. My old pair kept falling out and flopping around while running, but the new stowing compartment is much, more snug and holds the shorter length much, much better. Well worth the price.

Great trail shoes for dry conditions -
I run about 25 miles a week on mostly trails. I love this shoe, but would recommend it for a somewhat dry environment. The tread was not aggressive enough for trail running up wet/snow covered trails. Also, the lacing system on one of the shoes failed and had to order another set. Easy enough to fix, but it did cost money through Salomon. The comfort was great. Size was right on. Feet stayed dry in some very wet and sloppy conditions. I would buy again, but look for a more aggressive tread pattern for wet, hilly conditions.

GoreTex... XCR?
Just got them... label on the shoe only says Gore-Tex, but not XCR? Are they regular Gore-Tex then? Other than that they look great and are very comfortable... didn't give them 5 stars as I didn't try them in action yet!

I like -
I’m on my feet all day, and often my dogs be barking, so I try to find shoes that will alleviate the situation as much as possible. These shoes are OK in that dept. It has not been a miracle cure, but I'm getting to the point where I don't believe any shoe can fully remedy. But yes these are comfy.
The lacing system is great; I hate tying and untying shoes, so this saves me quite a bit of foot wiggling trying to squeeze my foot into already tied shoes. Also no worries of the shoes coming untied.
I went all black, they look good. I maybe could have gone a 1/2 size smaller. I’m an 11 in many shoes, though my foot is prob more 10 1/2.
Construction looks good on these, still early, but they look real solid, and though I don't really need water tight shoes, I've already encountered a couple situations where it came in handy. Not sure if these things overheat in summer, I'm hoping not.

Like a good looking woman that doesn't have personality -
Love the looks of this shoe but comes up a little short comfort wise for me and my "Fred Flintstone" feet, wish I had just a little more padding in the sole and another wider choice in the width other than medium.
I'd also recommend:
ASICS GT-2130 or Coumbia Beartooth for the extra width

Pleasantly Surprised -
Salomon XA Pro 3d XCR felt snug and stable out of the box. This was my first Salomon shoe and was intended to replace the Gore-Tex Asolo models that I have worked in for the past ten years. I weigh 235 lbs. and got tired of the Asolos arch support giving up over time, and needing to be replaced every 10 months to a year. I chose these based on the Zappos reviews listed, good choice. Now three weeks old they have broken in some and are very comfortable. You know you are in a good shoe when you don't think about your feet at all for eight hours at a stretch. As a contractor and it’s one less thing to worry about. One quirk I have noticed is the lacing system. Because the eyelets closest to the toes are asymmetrically placed, it is hard to synch the lowest laces tightly across what would be the widest part of your foot. Might affect someone logging lots of miles in them, not the case here. These have great padding under the balls of your feet. You can go all day and they don't tire you out. Order one half size larger than you wear. Highly recommended.

Interesting...
Maybe my feet are big, but I do feel like they are very snug. I still wear them all the time, but when I have them "laced up" the tongue seems like it's popping out more than it should. More than in the picture. As far as looks, and waterproof. I really like to test things. I intentionally try to destroy them. They have been water and weatherproof, and even look clean at the end. Strong, well, made shoe.

Pretty nice trail runner -
I got these shoes mainly to play disc golf with. So far I've been pretty happy with them. They feel a little narrow straight out of the box but have stretched some over the past several weeks.
They're fairly supportive on uneven ground and I've had no problems with traction even on muddy and wet inclines/declines. The Gore-Tex is an added bonus. I haven't stepped in any creeks with them but I've walked several miles through very tall, wet grass and my feet have stayed completely dry. Granted the price tag is a bit steep on these but I would definitely purchase them again.

This is a nice pair of shoes : )
Pros: I enjoy these shoes. Exuding confidence, style, and quality, the shoes have proven reliable. These are capable, light-weight, and rugged outdoor shoes that are appropriate for most any task. I'm truly fond of the quick-lace system; nice touch with the 'tuck-flap' for the laces, too. I stood in a puddle (which covered the lower half of the shoe) to test the water seal. Ta-daaa! Works great :) I like the colors and the 'rarity' of the name, too (in my neck of the woods). Being vain - enough - I've relished the many approving comments and queries.
Cons: Wide feet beware! It took a few days to break in the heel-cup of the insole. That was the only issue; the toe area felt OK from the get-go. Consider half-size larger...
I'm very pleased with both the product and the shopping experience. I'll definitely recommend the site. I hope this review helps :)

Very nice -
Needed to replace my old trail shoes which are used for hiking with light loads. Ordered these shoes based on a few reviews and hopes that the reputation was good.
Shoes felt very lightweight. Arch support felt a little bit more towards the heel.
Not overly soft feeling when hiking, actually feel like they get more forgiving when running.
Wore them for 4 days at the office before a one day up and down hike of Mt Whitney. 1 hot spot.
Very stable, good traction, laces did not slip. Soles might be wearing a little quickly, so not sure about long term durability. Waterproofing seemed to work well.

Good shoe -
I live in Colorado so these are must for light spring hikes. Took them the other day and ran into more snow than I had expected. It was warm out so it was very wet, slushy snow and theses did great. Hopefully they will break in a more and become more comfortable because I am not sure these make a great fitting running shoe right now.

Nice stable shoe -
I was looking for a more stable shoe and I liked the fact that there is more rubber over the toe area. Unfortunately, this shoe was too narrow to fit my orthotics. My husband did buy this shoe (he has a narrow foot), it accommodates his orthotics and he is very pleased with it.

Looks good but...
I had big hopes for this shoe. I went trail running with them and they started out comfortable. But it felt like there was not much cushioning on the bottom and at one point I felt I could feel every rock digging in my foot. Also, the lacing system kept loosening on me...not severely but enough to make my foot slide around and have to correct the tension. Could be this just isn't the shoe for me.

Looks great, but I developed blisters when running in them -
I was looking for a good trail-running shoes that are durable and comfortable to run in for miles. I looked on Zappos and liked the way this pair looks. Reviews are also encouraging.
I went to REI.com and found they carry them in a store near me. So instead of getting it from Zappos (oops -- see below), I just went to my local REI. I tried them on and bounced around a bit in them. Seemed nice and solid.
The first time I ran in them (for about 6 miles), I developed blisters on both of my pinky toes. First I though, oh well, may be it needs a bit breaking in. Other than that, the shoes felt solid, the weight feels right, and the support is good.
I usually run in my ASIC running shoes (good shoes!) when running on track and treadmill, so I took a break from this pair. Yesterday I decided to go for a 6-mile trail run. Blisters again.
I wish I had bought them from Zappos so I can take advantage of the 365-day return policy. I don't know what REI's policy is but I doubt it's that generous (I tossed the box already and I have to dig out the receipt).
These shoes may be ok for walking on the trails -- but I think I might still get blisters from them eventually. There is this piece of hard plastic around the parameter of the toes, my pinkies are rubbing on it, hence the blisters. Otherwise the width felt ok.
Still in search for a good trail-running shoes that won't give me blisters :-(

Where is the traction?
Ok first off on the trail these shoes are awesome, no problem there. Easy on easy off. A good loafing show as well. However I was looking for a shoe that would have decent traction on wet rocks...no go I had to spider crawl the way down on my hike because well the shoes did not dry quick enough. So other than that these are great but if you’re looking to get I would find a different shoe...

Holy jumpin'...they're narrrrrrrow -
Couldn't get my foot in to them and I've never had a problem w/ D width shoes from Adidas (same company essentially) or any other manufacturer really. After ramming my foot in they were really tight across the top of my foot and not where my toes were which is usually where narrowness is felt. I had the lacing system open all the way and I just couldn't get in them easily.
Sadly had to return these and I thought about going up a size, but would have meant the overall fit would be off too much. They were great length from heel to toe (size 10), but just killing me across the laces. :(

Great for Weekend Warriors.
Salomon's XA Pro 3D XCR is an ideal shoe for light trail hiking or running. These shoes are very comfortable, easy to lace up and are made with breathable mesh materials which help keep your feet dry. The only draw backs are its ankle support and traction (GRIP). When hiking on a good incline trail they perform well but not as supportive and aggressive as a pair of Merrell at similar costs. Overall great shoe for weekend warriors who don't want wear big clumsy cumbersome shoes.
