Great aggressive shoe -
This is a very cool shoe. It was very comfortable with good support on my first trail run. I've been very happy with the shoe for the first several outings.

Vegan Trainer -
Excellent shoe, all man made materials. Very comfortable and true to size. Good arch support and in the right places, unlike some other trainer brands. The laces make it very easy to get on and off. They also look very good.

Very good shoe -
I am very pleased with the purchase of this shoe. It is supportive, and very comfortable, and looks great. It can be used across several different purposes. I have very long workdays, and I wear this shoe instead of others for its ability to remain comfortable and supportive for 20 hours straight. I can walk all day, and am convinced that there are few shoes on the market that will offer the same comfort and support for the feet, knees and back.

Excellent tough terrain runner -
I read lots of good reviews of this shoe, but not from the intended end user: hard core off-road trail runners. I log long miles at 7,000 ft. elevation on rough trails - screen covered with snow, ice, slush & mud at this time of year and this is the ONLY shoe that I've found that can handle it.

I’m sold -
Best outdoor shoe ever. completely waterproof. Perfect for the snow or the rain or the mud. Great traction in all conditions. Great foot support especially on the bottom. Easy and comfortable to run in. lasts a long time, my first pair lasted almost three years. Everyone who I have recommended to buy this shoe has been utterly satisfied.

Highly Recommended -
These shoes look fantastic and feel great. The shoes feel slightly snug in the width but nothing to be too concerned about. Traction is excellent and the lacing system is easy to use, fast and effective. I wish more shoes came with this lacing system!!! I like these shoes so much that I am currently looking into buying anther pair that is not Gore-Tex and in a different colour. Zappos must be highly efficient as I received my shoes in approx. 2 days. My only concern with Zappos is that it does not always have the lowest price but, I would certainly purchase from them again.

The Right shoe for the job.
My first run in the XA Pros was about a 3 miler in flat hard sand and grass trail. I developed a small blister between 2 of my toes on my left foot from toe movement. However my feet stayed dry, they fit perfect for my type of feet. I enjoy these shoe and would buy again or recommend them for trail running.

Top Tier Guck Shoe -
Not for pavement. These shoes love the mud and dirt, but will wear your feet out on flat, hard pavement. Very comfortable shoes to wear to and from other sports. Easy to get on and off. Great ability to adjust snugness on your feet. The Gore Tex is only worth the extra money if you run on single-track where the trail is prone to water-pooling or if you run in the slush/snow. Otherwise, the other models are just as rugged. The Gore Tex is a bit stiffer/tougher, which is good, but may not be good for all. Excellent Guck Shoe.

This is a great fitting shoe. My foot is on the narrow side and these fit me very well. Great arch support as well. I was afraid the waterproof liner would make the shoe hot but that does not seem to be the case so far. A very comfortable shoe. Dealing with Zappos is a pleasure and I will order from them again.

Excellent shoe. I'm on my 4th pair -
I've been a fan of XA Pro Xcr for a very long time. Took a gamble on a Gore-tex lined shoe early on and they are great. Small puddles no problems, your feet don't get wet. Fit is a 1/2 size over. I wear size 8.5 shoe, but ordered a 9.

Not perfect, but almost -
I bought these thinking of snow. I was running last year on snow with my normal shoes and I felt (1) slippery and (2) heavy (which I think is related to (1) since I ran on asphalt and never looked that heavy), plus the fear of sinking my feet on the snow and it starting to 'freeze' them. Since I don’t have many options here, I bought with Zappos to have a try.
My first feeling was that I hit the jackpot. A very well constructed shoe, which was great for running on the snow. Seemed very stable and reliable, but it was a little heavy (for racing), but I still went on. Then, on the race itself, over a groomed snow trail, I was a bit disappointed because it felt (1) slippery (less than the previous time) and (2) heavy (a lot more due to the weight of the shoe), but definitely my feet felt warm. Plus, there is an aggressive arch support that, although doesn’t make it impossible, it bothers a little for someone who doesn’t need it like me.
So, why am I giving 5 stars for this shoe? Because it is a great shoe and made for trail and heavy snow. It just doesn’t work for racing on packed snow, which could be another useful terrain, but I will keep using for any other trail/XC activity.

Nice but squeaky -
I've been wearing these shoes for about 6 months and have found them to be very comfortable. My feet stay dry in the wettest weather. I like the pull laces too, very easy to get used to! Great traction in wet sloppy weather. Has anybody else's squeaked? Mine started squeaking about 3 months after I got them. But besides that I love them.

Awesome!
My shoes arrived in less than 24 hours which is always a plus! I've own Salomon's before and as always they're great. Great stability and comfort. I'm a distance runner so I always buy trail shoes for runner and this fit the bill perfectly. Thanks Zappos!

What I was looking for -
As a high school football coach these shoes have what I was looking for: comfort durability and Gore-Tex. They have preformed up to my expectations so far.

Great Shoe!
This shoe is a great, lightweight, waterproof shoe. Easy on, easy off with the quick lace system. The shoes are casual enough to wear anywhere and functional enough to tackle the toughest trail. I would recommend these shoes to anyone!

The minute I tried these shoes on I knew I had to buy them. They have performed flawless through miles and miles of trails. The best shoes I have ever owned, can't wait to buy a new pair.

Easily the best shoe I have ever owned -
Salomon just doesn't disappoint, I've now owned one pair of boots and three pairs of hiking/running shoes, all excellent.
Comfort and quality are top-notch. Where this shoe really comes through, and makes it incredibly practical, is the waterproof shell and no-lace system. When I'm skiing, I step out of my boots and right into these without worrying about wet laces or wet feet. I walk right through smallish puddles on rainy days and I know my feet will stay perfectly dry. Hiking, or anything requiring traction, is a breeze with the grip of the soles.

Not bad...
I used to have Salomon GCS XCRs. I went through 2 pairs in about 3 months. They both leaked. So, for my next replacement pair, I had to choose something else, as the GCS XCRs are discontinued. (Coincidence?) I chose these XA Pro 3D XCRs.
They're not quite as comfy as the GCS XCRs, but they are quite a bit lighter in weight, which is nice.
They work as advertised -- I put the shoes in my kitchen sink overnight and in the morning the insides were dry as a bone.
Nice arch support, and the lacing system rocks.
For day to day wear, I'll stay with my Asics Gel Kayano XIIs, which are like your most comfortable slippers. But if rain's forecast, I'll whip these out and know my feet will stay dry.

Pleased in Coos Bay -
So far this shoe is everything that I researched. But like all of life I'll have to put them to the test over time. I am always skeptical of new things (at least to me they are new) like the lacing system on this shoe. I like it but will/would it last. I was reassured by a young friend of mine that "knows" and he has them on his ski boots and says they are great.
Zappos is the best part of the deal to this point. I chose them because they guaranteed free shipping to me and return. And because I have trouble sizing shoes from manufacturer to manufacturer I ordered two different sizes and kept the best fit. And sending them back was really easy. The only obstacle was me but Zappos' crew really helped AND they sent me a "THANK YOU" card!!! In this world of risk taking Zappos has restored confidence. I will always try to use them for shoe needs.

Review of Salomon's XA Pro 3D XCR -
I've been looking for a waterproof light hiker/trail running shoe. Looked at Montrail Hurricane and some North Face XCR shoe with the Boa lacing system - bad reviews on North Face manufacturing turned me off. The Salomon is extremely comfortable. The lacing system works well and makes entry easy. Arch support is moderate and works well with my foot; the Hurricane features a much higher arch and would be more appropriate for an overpronator. I found the Salomon to be lighter and more breathable. The Hurricane does feature a full bootie, which gives more ankle support - perhaps necessary if light hiking were the dominant use of the shoe.

Great Running and Trekking Shoe -
As always Salomon shoes' fit is great. My right leg 10 mm orthotics doesn't accommodate well and my ankle begins to rub when I wear it, but it's not a design flaw anyway. Materials and quality are awesome. Contagrip sole is grippy as usual, and 3D chassis is excellent. Great shoe for the money.
