Great Buy - I bought these for work as I'm a building inspector and there aren't too many safety shoes let alone work shoes for women. They are very comfortable and the fit is awesome! Would highly recommend

My new favorite boots - These are a dream come true. Motorcycle/cowboy/work boots. They are so soft and comfortable, no break-in time at all. They feel like they will last forever like all Dr. Martins - I still wear a pair from 1988. They are forever in style and practically indestructible.

Would love to wear these EVERYDAY - I love these boots and get compliments each time I wear them. Love the fact that they are Dr. Marten's without being lace up. The padding around the ankles is wonderful. I have to watch to make sure they don't disappear from my closet and wind up on my son's feet! If I can't find them, I know they are walking around the high school!

GREAT FIT BUT WENT UP A SIZE - Great boots! If you like a little more roomy fit go up a size. I felt the tightness mostly on the top of my foot. I tend to have not a very high arch, so my feet spread out. Zappos maybe a little more expensive but they have great customer service.

Only place to buy boots - Second pair of these boots...love them...order a size bigger...but for work boots…best I ever owned...Zappos service best I have ever seen.

Good motorcycle boot - Exactly what I needed in a new motorcycle boot, thick oil resistant soles with good grip, extra ankle padding, flexible enough so no need to break-in. Very comfortable for all day wear but suitable for riding. Although I usually wear a wide, the medium width fits just fine.

Great Boots - I got the 2296s for motorcycle riding - even though they are in the "work" boot category. Very comfortable right out of the box. Length and width seemed correct (UK 10 - US 11) and the oil resistant, non-slip soles should work great for riding. The were a little snug through the arch area - so if you have a high arch/instep ... make sure you try them on at home AFTER a full day of work or being on your feet for a while --- your want your foot at its largest size. The leather should stretch a little with wear ... when they do --- these boots will fit like a glove!

AWESOME!!! This has to be one of the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Great with jeans and daily wear. I have 3 other pairs of Dr. Marten's and these are now my favorite. Fantastic.

Pretty nice item!! These boots tend to run big in the foot as previous reviews say! TIGHT fitting through the ankle and calf until you get them broken in! Comfortable so far! Will order from Zappos again!! Fast shippng without any hassles!! BRAVO!!

Fabulous! Runs small! These are such comfortable boots. My husband and I both got a pair from Zappos. No need to break them in. They are so soft when you walk. If you normally wear a half size then order the next size up! They run small. I normally wear a 7 or a 7.5. In these boots I wear an 8. Super fast shipping. Great boots! You will love them!

Superb Comfort- Unlike other slip-on boots, these fit snugly on the heel and ankle. They present a nice, tight fit. The boots are the most comfortable pair of work boots that I have owned.

Great Boot- This is a great boot. Very happy with the quality and with the service that Zappos provided. I have a narrow heal and it slips a little bit, but this is common with all pull-on boots for me. I would definitely buy them again.

Good deal! After about 3 days of breaking in, the boots feel great. With boot cut jeans they look awesome. I'm a Doc Marten addict, and if they keep making them like this I'll keep buying Docs forever.

Feeling good, Looking good - Looks cool and feels great. One thing though, while driving your feet stretches but the boots do not adjust. That makes your feet feel some discomfort.

The Best Boot Money Can Buy - I have never had a boot fit as true to size or as comfortable as this. You will be amazed at how good these look with a bootcut jean. All year round anytime anywhere I sport these babies and they look better with each little scuff you get.

SO THIS IS WALKING ON CLOUD NINE - I'm a late-comer to the Doc Marten shoe cult, but I am ready to enlist new recruits. This is my second pair from the good doctor (both bought on Zappo's, of course), and even though it's no longer really boot season, I plan to wear these pretty much all the time ... or until I find my next favorite pair of shoes on Zappo's.

This boot was more or less what I was looking for (a sturdy pull-on without steel toe). I can’t complain about the materials or assembly detail at this point as all the pieces looked good, no loose stitching, no obvious defects. But they are taking a LONG time to break in, especially to my left (bigger) foot. The part that’s taking the longest is across the top of the foot, it’s too tight and isn’t stretching as I’d expected (then again, it’s winter and cold ~ they don’t get worn indoors anywhere). I’ve had to take breaks from wearing them as they cause tenderness across the top of my foot, plus they’re now biting at my Achilles (just an odd stage of break-in). I ordered the UK12, normally wear a US13, and these seem about 1.2 size small. But I know from experience that UK13s are loose and floppy on my feet. Comfort rating is low only because of my specific issue... and it’s much too late to send them back to Zappos now (I thought they’d break-in quickly). This was my first experience with slip-on boots too I might add. Well, outside of snow boots at least (which are always a bit loose and floppy to have that insulating air gap).

Nice boots overall. They look great with jeans and I can tell they are going to wear well. The leather and construction appears to be high quality. The do have somewhat of an industrial look, but I think they look better the more broken in they get. Color was a little darker than what was shown online. As others have mentioned, the footbed is pretty weak. I recommend adding some good aftermarket insoles like Superfeet - these are great and solved the problem. Very comfortable boot, especially with the ankle padding. I originally ordered a size 10 (normally wear 10), but returned them for an 11. Much happier with the larger size... if in doubt, order up.
