I had the best online shoe buying experience ever when I purchased these boots. Not only are they great boots, but the Zappos rep made my purchase so easy and hassle-free, I will always check Zappos first for online purchases. I had been wanting a pair of these boots for some time, and had checked out many other websites for price, shipping and return policies. I was concerned about the fit, since so many other buyers had reported that these boots ran both big and small. The Zappos rep suggested I order my normal size, and that if they did not fit, return them via their free shipping. She also gave me free overnight delivery (which where I live is never actually overnight -- but there they were the next day!). I highly recommend Zappos for their expertise and courteous service. Zappos, you rock! As for the boots themselves, they are very high quality, are comfy and stylish. I get a lot of compliments on them. If you have any doubts about what size to order, the best way to gauge it is my the measurement of your foot in inches. I ordered this way, and it worked out beautifully. Again, thanks, Zappos.

Best shoes/boots I have ever owned! They are absolutely worth the money! Very comfortable and they go with just about every outfit. The leather is soft and molds to your feet within the first day of waring them. I get asked almost every day where I got my boots :) *NOTE... These boots are hand made so each pair will fit a little different. The first pair I received did not fit right so zappos sent me a 2nd pair at no charge!

I couldn't be more of a consistent size 10 and I found that size in these particular boots was too big. The shaft was too loose around my calf and my heel was sliding around (I tried them on in a store with a thick sock). The size 9 1/2 was perfect...consider sizing down a half size! Besides that...they are so beautiful. If you're on the fence based on the price tag - you'll have these for 10+ years. And you'll look fabulous. Decision decided. Buy.

Love them! They fit big, so go down at least a half size. I am 5'6 and they go to mid calf. Everyone wants them when I wear them. They will only get better with time. Very well made. No, they are not cheap and there are cheap replicas out there. These will last forever - the cheap ones...well cheap becomes expensive. That is because you will end up replacing the cheapos.

Awesome boots. Coolest ever. I am very pleased with these boots. Comfortable. Pretty easy to get on and off and look fabulous. I usually wear an 8, but the 8 was a little big. The 7 1/2 fit perfectly. This boot will last for years and only get better with age.

Frye's Belted Harness 12R - Love the boot, true to size, no break in needed. Best of all.... Made in the USA how can you go wrong. Also, dealing with Zappos is always a positive experience. They bend over backwards to please.

Love the buckles! I was tired of other boots wearing out after a season and wanted to find a high-quality product. I was so impressed with my Frye engineer boots that I decided to try these. Besides being cute, these were comfortable right out of the box and did not require any breaking in. I bought some inserts for extra cushion and they're even better. I normally wear a 9 1/2 or 10, but ordered a 9 and the size is perfect. LOVE Zappos customer service and fast shipping!

Great for Manhattan blocks - These boots are great for anyone that does a lot of walking like me. I have the Engineer 12R also... which are not comfortable at all. Walking in the Engineer's for about an hour or a little more...tore the skin open right above my heels and left scabs around my calves. (If anyone has suggestions for comfort that would be great). The Harness looks as good as it feels.

After a year of waiting, I finally bought 'em - These boots are the best. Comfortable, well-made, tough and durable - if you figure they'll last until you're 80 years old, they really are a good deal! Plus they give you superpowers. Really.

Adorable and Sassy!! Very Comfortable from the get go. I would recommend getting a 1/2 size smaller than you normally wear.

AWESOME - I love the shoes. They are a little stiff at first, but once you wear them for a while, they are more comfortable. They do slip a little at my heel, I don’t know if it is because I have narrow feet or they run a half size larger. Either way, I really like them and recommend them to anyone.

Awesome quality boot! I ordered the size 8. It feels stiff and snug (because the leather is high-quality and 'thick') at first but begins to give as you wear it.

Good if you don't walk a ton - These are great boots that look awesome and the leather breaks in really nicely around the foot. My only complaint is that they have no insole and my feet got sore if I walked too much. My suggestion is get a half-size larger and put some grey Superfeet insoles in them (they work in Western boots). I did this with my second pair and can wear them much longer with little foot fatigue.

My New Frye Boots - I absolutely love my boots. They arrived very quickly, in perfect condition. The size was perfect, I bought a half size smaller than normal. The leather is soft and they are very, very comfortable to walk in… and I do a lot of walking on a daily basis. I highly recommend buying from Zappos!

The coolest boots I ever owned - Not as Cowboy looking as the plain Harness type. Also softer and more comfortable.

Hot, Hot, Hot - These boots are AWESOME. One reviewer stated her Fryes made her feel thinner and more confident. It is all true! I walk with more confidence in my Fryes. I feel fantastic in my Fryes. The best money I ever spent. Comfortable and sexy at the same time. A powerful combo. You cannot go wrong. Zappos and Fryes are dynamite! They do run a half size larger, but no worries there. Buy your Fryes, you will not regret it.

Fabulous boots - I do love Frye. I have these in both the black and the chestnut and love them both. Out of interest, has anyone noticed that their 12R harness boots - both belted and plain - differ by about 1cm in height?! I've never seen a pair the same height. I don't think they exist :). These boots are true to size on me.

I've been stomping around town in Frye Engineer boots for almost ten years now and they're still going strong, but I wanted a sleeker boot that would still be able to shrug off all the abuse I put my footwear through. I fell in love with these Belted Harness boots when I saw them and knowing my past experience with Frye's high level of quality and comfort, I splurged. (After all, my engineers are battered in a gives-them-character way, but are otherwise still in perfect condition. I expect to be wearing them for another ten years.) I'm so happy I bought these. The leather is thick and sturdy, yet buttery-soft. I wore them right out of the box for several hours without a single blister or raw spot. They do run big - I normally wear an 8, bought the 7.5, and added a pair of insoles since I spend a lot of time of my feet. The 7.5s fit perfectly and I can still fit a thick sock for colder weather, but those in warmer climates or those with very narrow feet might consider going down a full size. Also, this might sound odd, they're a lot quieter than my engineer boots. They're just overall a lot less clunky and will look great under jeans, over jeans, or with leggings and a cute skirt - they're nicely versatile and tough, but not overly masculine. I'm very pleased with the boots and with Zappos' excellent service (they even upgraded my shipping for free to overnight delivery). Now to talk myself out of buying a pair of Frye Campus boots for dressier occasions… at least until next paycheck!

Love these boots! True to size, comfortable, and just all around great boots. Appearance is somewhat rugged, yet since the boots are fairly streamlined, they don't look "chunky" and are flattering to the foot. Love them!

LOVE these boots! This is my second pair and the old ones (3 years young) are just perfectly broken in. Will definitely recommend. Shipping was incredibly fast - within 12 hours!

Coolest boots ever - Not only are these boots totally awesome, but the service, speed, and friendliness at Zappos has made me a devoted customer. I don't think I've taken these boots off since I got them a few weeks ago - great with skirts, jeans, etc. Be prepared for some heel movement, but I wouldn't have ordered any smaller than my true size (I'm usually between 8.5 and 9, ordered an 8.5 and am happy with it). I still can't believe I ordered them around 5:00 on a Wednesday and they were waiting by my front door when I came home the next day at 4:00!

Versatile, high quality Western boot! Great look and the leather is top quality. The boot is great...all that you would expect from Frye!
