Ugly, but great on the feet! I ordered these Birks for a house slipper. My home is a nice size with tile and wood floors. My feet and legs would get sore from just walking and standing on my floors with regular slippers. These Birks have saved my feet! I ordered the narrow and I still have to wear socks with them due to the width. I did have to send the size 6 back and order a 5-1/2, but it was worth it.

Great for plantar fasciitis - These shoes have been great for my aching heel (from plantar fasciitis). I couldn't believe the difference they made--this shoe really does cradle and support that heel, with excellent arch support to further promote healing. I wear my Boston’s to work, and have a pair of Arizona sandals that I slip into at home. I prefer the sandals because I can tighten both straps for a more secure feel, but the Boston clogs are great for fall/winter wear.

Love this shoe! The soft foot bed can't be beat in terms of comfort! I wear a size 7 and have a skinny foot. I ordered this Birk in size 6 reg and it fits great! I wear socks with them which is why I ordered the regular and I have no trouble with it being too wide. It's a Birk, so that is the "style", it's not high fashion, it's definitely a casual shoe. I wear this with jeans and khaki's. I would rather wear these than go barefoot which shows how truly comfortable they are! I definitely recommend!

My first Birkenstocks - I have flat feet and have had to wear orthodic inserts in most shoes for the past ten years or so. I recently picked up a second job for the holidays that requires me to be on my feet for 8 - 10 hours at a time. My feet were BURNING afterwards ... so I looked to Zappos for a solution. I had to return my first order because it was too loose in the regular size. I reordered the narrow. My first thought was "if this is the soft foot bed, I'm glad I didn't start out with the normal bed!!" It took a few days for my feet to learn to walk comfortably in these shoes ... now I can't live without them! I would recommend to newbies like myself to commit to wearing them regularly for a few days at the outset, as much to break in your feet as to break in these shoes. My feet are still sore after a ten-hour stretch of both standing and running around, but it's exponentially better than previously. No more cramping and no more burning sensation. I am contemplating buying these for my brother, who suffers from painful plantar fasciitis. The arch support is excellent and I'm grateful for these shoes. I only wish they also offered these in the smooth (non-suede) leather finishes. I'll be considering buying some of the more shoe-ish looking Birks categorized as mens shoes as well for work purposes.

Comfortable, but wider than I expected - Generally I wear I wide shoe, but this was a little wider than I expected. They are extremely comfortable which is what I wanted.

Birkenstock Boston - I have owned these shoes off and on for about 17 years. Never thought they were the most attractive shoe in the world, but they are such comfortable "throw on" shoes. Plus they are cool - not sure why, but they are. I have actually noticed all the high school kids wear them now!

Birkenstock Reigns - The soft footbed makes this great shoe even better than before! Loved the color!

Really like this shoe - Great casual shoes. I need to wear socks with them because they're a little loose, but a smaller size would be too tight. The insole is comfortable, arch support is almost too good. The negative heel took some getting used to - at first I could only wear them for a few hours at a time, or I'd get leg cramps at night. But now I can wear them most of the day. I wear them every day, shopping and errands, etc., notice more people wearing them too. Will probably try some Birk sandals next summer.

Boston Soft Footbed ROCKS - I have not taken off these shoes since I bought them, except when I have meetings for work. I loved my Birk Arizona classic footbed, but this soft footbed makes an awesome supportive shoe totally perfect. LOVE THEM.

Soooo comfy - I love them they are so comfortable I don't care if they look like girls shoes no one should go with out them I wear them everywhere. I love how they look and fell.

A great shoe - These are wonderful shoes. I order these a little before our twin boys were born and I got to wear them through delivery and the time they spend at the hospital. I never had to worry about my feet being sore or tired they are great!

Every day shoe! I have a few Birkenstocks and thought I would try the Soft Footbed. No need to break them in like the regular cork ones. Very comfy! I am an 8.5/9 and went with a size 40. I have a couple of sandals where I went with 39 and found them a tad small. These shoes are great! I wear them with socks now that the weather is cooler and brought them on a recent trip to New York City. Did a lot of walking and had no problems. Only thing is you might find your feet getting a little tired because it will force your foot to use muscles that you don't typically use that grip the shoe. Will definitely buy again if I need new ones!

Peace At Last - Really comfortable and I'm hard to please.

Great for relief of Plantar Fasciitis - I have Plantar Fasciitis and my Doctor recommended Birkenstocks. I step into them the minute I get out of bed in the AM. They really seem to help. I don’t notice much difference between the regular and the "soft footbed", though.

Very comfortable - Narrow is the way to go with Birkis!! They fit like a glove and I don't swim in them. I usually wear a B width so the narrow size was perfect.

The most comfortable shoes ever… I work at a bakery, so I have to stand up for hours on end and I really needed comfortable shoes…Birkenstocks were the answer. They were really uncomfortable for the first two days, but after that it became one with the foot…ha ha ha and they're gorgeous! I was looking to get a pair of Crocs, but they are so fugly I just couldn't buy them. Ahaha over all, I definitely recommend these.

Feet savers - I am currently serving my first tour in Iraq and let me tell you... strapping these super-comfy bad boys on my feet after a long day has recently become a daily favorite! Zappos did a fantastic job of a no hassle and super-fast on-line purchasing experience for me... it took but 4 days to receive my dog-savers :) Thank you Zappos and thank you Birkenstock for keeping my dogs happy!

Great shoe! I bought these for my daughter to wear. She needs to wear orthodics and couldn't put them in any other 'clogs' that we bought for her. These don't need the orthodics because of the excellent arch support already in them. They were worth waiting for...didn't have her size for awhile but the email notification system works great! Zappos is a great place to shop. I highly recommend them.

Birkenstock's Boston Soft Footbed, SO COMFY!! Thank God for Birkenstock Soft Footbed. With my foot problems, I can't comfortably wear anything else. I wish there were more styles available with it. I love this shoe. Many thanks to Zappos; they provide excellent service!!!

Five stars for Zappos and for these shoes! I bought these shoes now anticipating a break in period before the cooler months -- no real need to do so with these Birkies. Love them!!! I would suggest that women order narrow width. I had to return the first pair ordered for size. Zappos makes returns so easy -- just print return label from this site, and drop off to UPS. Within a week, I returned the shoes, had the credit posted to my account, reordered, and received the new shipment. Very fast!!!

Comfortable shoe - Soft bed is great, no break in period.

Great shoe - My son liked this shoe so much that I purchased a pair and my husband purchased a pair. They are really comfortable.

Another WONDERFUL pair of Birkenstocks! Many thanks to ZAPPOS! My daughter loves her newest pair of Birkenstocks. I was eager to see and feel the soft footbed in a clog. I own a pair of sandals with the soft footbed and wear them quite often. The clog will provide excellent support as my daughter wears them this school year. I am so impressed with the customer service, quality, and price ZAPPOS is able to provide its customers. I LOVE THESE. I work on my feet for long hours and needed a shoe that would work. I have high arches and can never find a shoe that has a high enough arch. The Birks molded to my feet with in a day of wearing them and just hated to take them off. They have replaced almost off my shoes and sneakers. They are lil more functional than sneakers for me and go with a bunch of stuff. Fashion is always on my mind, but comfort is too.

Awesome comfort - I failed to allow time to break in my new soft bed clogs before leaving for a 3-week tour of Europe. No problem--there was virtually no break-in time! I have worn primarily Birkenstocks for many years and was surprised to learn that a way had been found to improve upon an already great product. I highly recommend the soft footbed, though the style choices are limited.
